This has to be the worst customer service I've ever received in a medical facility. If you want to…read morebe able to contact your doctor's office or get updates on the things that are supposed to be getting done for you this is absolutely not the place to go. They will not answer their phone ever or call you back if you leave a voicemail. When you call them and they do not answer (which is every time) they'll send you an automated text saying that you can text them at that number, if you do, they will also not respond to that either. Or if they do manage to send a text back it'll be a new person every time, they'll ask your name and date of birth and then stop responding so you can start that whole process another time again. I went in a month ago for an ankle appointment. I got an MRI referral and a prescription and they had not sent out either two weeks later. I finally went in in person to ask them to do it, they never sent the MRI referral even though he said he did when I was there and the prescription they sent out wasn't even anything close to what the doctor and I discussed in my appointment. I talked to another person another week later and they said they sent out the MRI referral at that time again, still have not. So all around terrible experience. It's been 4 weeks now and I've still not gotten either from them. The only way to get anything from this place is to physically walk in and ask them to do what you need done in person, even then it's questionable.

This was my first time visiting this clinic, and while the experience had some frustrating moments,…read moreit is already a much better setup than Family HealthCare Network or United Health Centers. I arrived at 1:50 PM for a 2:00 PM appointment as a new patient. Unfortunately, the front desk didn't actually check my information or verify my file until 2:20 PM, which is when they told me my insurance PCP was still assigned elsewhere. Anthem Blue Cross was absolutely amazing and managed to switch my PCP over the phone by 2:25 PM. The front desk initially told me they could still take me in since it was resolved, but then they changed their mind and said I had to reschedule anyway. It was a bummer because if they had just checked my paperwork right when I walked in, I definitely could have been seen. As far as the atmosphere goes, it definitely has a clinic vibe and isn't the most updated facility, though there are a few newer structures inside. The waiting area was clean and there were very few patients waiting, but the lighting is incredibly dim. I don't know why it is so much dimmer than most facilities I've been to....it has kind of a moody feel, and I wish it were a bit brighter. That being said, I really appreciate how accommodating and friendly everyone was despite the scheduling mix-up. I also love their automated system...I got text messages right away confirming everything after making my appointment. Because the staff was so nice and the system is great, I'm giving them four stars. I shall see how it is in the back when I have my first actual appointment with the doctor, and I will update this review soon!

Would you like to talk to an actual person who works there to schedule an appointment? Need help…read morewith billing? Or a prescription? Too bad!! You are left in limbo on the phone, never knowing if anyone is even available in that department. There is no real person to put you on hold or check why the phone has been ringing in that department for over 20+ minutes. No live help!!! Your time is not important to them- that is the message that businesses send when a live person is not available to assist you. Kaweah Health's motto has something to do with "...excellence..." I would include the full quote but their website takes forever to load too! It's not like it's full of helpful information, so don't even bother trying to get help there either. Unfortunately, my son's podiatrist, Dr. Nelson transferred into this office. I have a busy family and having to stay in "ringing phone Never land " all afternoon to simply reschedule is not okay with me. His other office used the same type of phone service and I had to stop by the office to talk to a live person. Now his office is out of our way and I refuse to be charged because they can't hire a real person to answer the phone. Definitely checking into switching doctors.

I went to Orthopaedic Associates a few months ago because of an ongoing hamstring injury and was…read moreseen by Amanda Pacillas, NP. During that appointment, Amanda told me she would get orders placed for both physical therapy and an MRI. I waited, but I never heard anything about either the physical therapy or the MRI. Neither happened. At the time, I let it go because I was hoping my hamstring would eventually get better on its own. Unfortunately, it didn't. It actually got worse. I recently called the office and asked about getting the MRI that I had originally been told would be ordered. Amanda's assistant told me I would have to come back into the office because too much time had passed and that insurance would need documentation that my condition had gotten worse. That didn't make sense to me. My question was simple: Why should I have to come back for another appointment to get an MRI that was supposed to have been ordered after my original appointment? I explained that I'm still having the same hamstring problem and that it has actually gotten worse. I asked whether this could be handled over the phone rather than requiring me to come back into the office. At that point, Amanda got on the phone herself and told me that it could not be done over the phone. Her tone immediately came across to me as flippant and dismissive. Rather than explaining why another office visit was necessary or addressing the fact that the MRI and physical therapy were supposed to have been ordered previously, she simply asked me, "Do you want to set up the appointment now or not?" I told her I would need to call back to schedule it. Frankly, her tone and attitude during the conversation made me question whether I even wanted to see her again. She responded, "Okay," and hung up. I understand that there can be insurance requirements and circumstances where a provider may determine that another examination is necessary. But medical orders can be handled by phone or telehealth in appropriate situations, so I don't think it was unreasonable to ask why I needed another in-person appointment--especially when the MRI was supposed to have been ordered during my original visit. If there was a specific insurance or clinical reason that required me to come back, I would have appreciated having that explained to me. What bothers me most is the lack of follow-through. I came in for a hamstring injury, was told I would receive orders for physical therapy and an MRI, and neither happened. Months later, when the injury had gotten worse and I called trying to get the MRI taken care of, I felt that my concerns about what happened the first time were dismissed rather than addressed. Amanda was actually very nice during my original appointment, which makes the experience afterward even more disappointing. Between the lack of follow-through and the way I was treated on the phone, I no longer have confidence that my injury and concerns would receive the attention they deserve if I returned to see her. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Amanda Pacillas. I hope the physicians and management at Orthopaedic Associates take concerns like this seriously. Patients should be able to expect that when they are told something will be ordered, it will actually be followed through on--and if something goes wrong, they should be treated respectfully when they call to get it resolved.
