You know what really stinks.....is when you order a flower bouquet for your Mom who had to make a hard decision to put her dog down & its nothing like the one you ordered on line. I used 1-800-FLOWERS & for some reason they chose this flower shop when my Mom lives in Portsmouth. Now I know you won't get exactly like the photo but it wasn't even close. I ordered a medium size arrangement & it looked so small. It barely had any flowers in it & lots of greenery. The one on line was packed full of flowers. It was suppose to have blue flowers in it & she got purple. The flower arrangement was specificity a sympathy arrangement. I'm not sure how all this on line ordering from an 800 flower shop works but if they pick a flower shop to provide the arrangement that was ordered & they don't have the flowers to do it then they should decline the order. Even my Mom reached out to me & told me I should call & complain but not just because the flower arrangement didn't look anything like the one I ordered but because the next day she said the flowers were wilting. Dying already on day 2...?????? What the heck?? My Mom had to deal with the dog's death now she has to look @ flowers that are already dying on day 2 & look horrible??? I hate to rate a business a 1 star but come on........this was a horrible experience & this makes me to never want to step foot into this flower shop. Luckily 1-800-FLOWERS was very understandable when I called them to complain about my issues. I even offered to send them photos as proof but they declined. They offered to have another arrangement sent, the same or even better. I was skeptical cause if they couldn't' get it right the first time what if they mess it up again?? She told me that @ that point I could get my money back. They even offered me a 20% off coupon for any future 1-800-FLOWERS order. I went ahead & allowed them to try again. The arrangement was better looking then the first one & it didn't' have any wilted flowers in it. See photo. Pretty sad that they couldn't get it right the first time. Flowers aren't cheap when ordering on line. All the fee's they charge. It cost me about $80.00 for this medium size arrangement. The flowers were about $50 & the rest was in fee's/services. Flora Ventures you guys need to do a better job on your on-line flower orders. Think about yourself & only make and send an arrangement that you would want to receive. Don't send a crappy arrangement out. What a waste of time & money. Plus your making the business look bad. read more

If less than one star as possible - that would be too generous! My office sent me flowers and I know they do NOT cheap out on these things and typically spend $90 - $125. What I received was an absolute embarrassment!! The florist told me they only get $60 from 1-800 flowers on this order but even still... 4 half dead roses, one of them with a broken stem hanging in front, 3 mums, one of which is missing half its petals and a bunch of broken fern and weeds is $60 worth of flowers?? Please folks - don't use 1-800 flowers and certainly don't use Flora Ventures! They could have gone to the supermarket and put together a much nicer arrangement than this for $25!! Flora Ventures should be embarrassed by this! I asked them to come pick it up and refund the charge but that's "not possible" . Important to note - I am very thankful for the gesture from my office and I know I'm so lucky someone cares enough to send something, I'm grateful! But when a florist delivered cheap tattered flowers - it makes you feel so sad. read more

I can't say enough good things about Flora Ventures. I had a flower emergency (of my own doing) and they came through for me with two beautiful bouquets! Their service is excellent and the arrangements were lovely. I will definitely call again (and try to give them more time) and highly recommend to people in the area. read more

I've dealt with the folks at Flora Ventures for years and cannot say enough about their creativity, the qualities of the flowers and plants, their pricing, and their amazing turnaround time. For centerpieces I've brought them everything from antique platters and bean pots to old shoes. The arrangements they come up with are spectacular. They can even order in specific or exotic plants and flowers a customer is looking for. I trust Pat and Ashley 110% when it comes to flowers for Mom or a hostess present or even something to cheer up my own room. Even during COVID they're creating wonderful things and offering safe deliveries and drop offs. I can't wait for my next occasion that calls for flowers! read more

I stopped in to pick up some flowers for a special occasion. I told the lady that stepped forward to help me that I was planning on spending 50 dollars. She asked me to walk around and pick out what I wanted. I said "I am not experienced in flower arranging and that I would trust her. She said at that point this was the first arrangement she has ever put together." I should have walked out at this point. I waited and she later showed up with my bouquet wrapped in white cellophane. No box, no vase. When I got home my flowers consisted on 10 individual stems, 2 of which were baby's breath. So 8 flowers for 50 dollars. All of the flowers were either at peak or past peak. I would never go back to this place, and I will never recommend this place. I called the next day to speak to the manager and was told "The manager is too busy to talk to you. After pressing the person she did take my number and said the manager would call back. We will see if that actually happens. Again I would not recommend anyone spend any money at this establishment. UPDATE - I spoke to the store manager and she offered to bring me more flowers or accept a credit for future flowers. I still say that there are other florists that are better, and I definitely would never order online from this store. read more

I was ordering flowers for an occasion happening in NH and I was in North Carolina. I ordered four arrangements and they all turned out beautifully!! All of the flowers were arranged so elegantly. I'm REALLY not sure what these other reviews are all about!!! I can only tell you that I have NEVER been so pleased with a floral arrangement. I asked for a medium priced but still very appealing & full bouqet. This was for a funeral home display for my sweet, best girlfriend who past away from cancer. Pat, the owner, went way out of her way to not only choose the most beautiful flowers but shopped personally for a specifically requested pink bear for the basket. The arrangement was large & full & VERY tasteful. I know that my friend would have loved it. My only advice is, please give Flora Ventures a try. I just know you won't be disappointed. read more

Terrible customer service. I was supposed to receive an arrangement from them and called the number on the delivery notice. They said they were busy and asked me to come pick them up. I explained I could not, as I was preparing dinner for my two young children. Then they asked if I would be home Saturday so they could attempt to re-deliver. I asked what time, and they said they couldn't commit to one. I told them I could not be home all day to wait for flowers. She said that I was not that far away and I should just come and get them. I advised her to call back the sender and credit their card with a refund. What a disgrace! read more

I went to Flora Ventures on Friday last week in a tizzy because my best friend forgot to get herself a bridal bouquet for her wedding THE NEXT DAY. As soon as I told the women behind the counter about the situation, they assured me I had nothing to worry about and made a beautiful bouquet for me right then and there! It was perfect and the bride was incredibly happy with the colors, flower choice, and size. Some of these reviews are pretty ridiculous... (to the person who mentioned 1-800-flowers actually contracted their arrangement - that would make it THEIR fault, not Flora Ventures...) Anyhow - all ll I have to say is this place is outstanding!! My dad has been getting my mom flowers there ever since I can remember, and they always do such a beautiful job. I have NEVER in my life had a worse experience at a florist. I ordered online, which was fine. I picked out this cute colorful rose arrangement for Valentines day to be delivered to my cousin as a surprise. On Valentines Day I didn't hear from her, and thought it was strange since I was expecting her to call right away with excitement upon receiving them. When I called her to see if they had arrived, she said they hadn't. This obviously ruined the surprise, and had me upset considering they were FOR VALENTINES DAY and she didn't receive them even though it "guaranteed delivery" on valentines day. It was past 5PM So I couldn't call and had to wait until the next day. The woman I talked to on the phone told me that the driver had delivered the flowers but was told she had already received them.. I checked again with my cousin to see if any of her roommates had mistakenly turned him away and she told me that no one had spoken to anyone who had flowers for her. Plus why would they have been previously delivered... I can't imagine they wouldn't have noticed or have had a record of that... I let it go and asked them to deliver them ASAP and for my troubles they said they would make her a new arrangement and make it even more special with extras. I assumed that meant a variation of what I had picked out with more roses or other colorful fun valentines flowers. Instead, my cousin received the ugliest bouquet. Instead of an arrangement of roses, tulips, etc of pink red and peach colors she received purple glads.... Flower that are used for funeral arrangements... no roses, not even a splash of red or pink. Just purple glads with lots of green leafy accents.. I was mortified that I had paid money for roses and instead she got this funeral flower arrangement. Considering she is a college student, I wanted a fun colorful happy arrangement that would brighten her day and that is not even close to what I got. I called immediately asking for the owner, i was told she was not in and would call me the next day. She never called, I kept calling back to get in touch and was met with rude, unapologetic snarky comments from every staff member I spoke too. I was finally told refunds could only be done through the website after a WEEK of back and forth, and that If i wanted a refund they would go take back the flowers from my cousin.... I will never use this florist again, they have no sense of customer service and I'm embarrassed they are in business with the lack of respect they have for paying customers. BEWARE! read more
