I would normally class this as a fair enough mistake if it wasn't for the fact that this staff member checked the book several times. Another person who served me was new at the job and should have had a mentor there watching this staff member because the spec savers form from a previous staff member confused them and they had to write out everything in their own way. I was sympathetic for quite some time but after forty minutes of checking, re checking, talking to other staff, because this staff member really wasn't sure, I was ready to get out of there. I gave them my card only for there to be a significant gap! To give the staff credit, they were really apologetic and understood if I didn't want to pay. When I eventually decided to get them and came to pick them up, I struggled with the change of prescription. Another staff member who couldn't fathom my type of script for my age kept indicating I wouldn't know what to expect and kept suggesting things that I had experienced before. Despite my constant reaffirmation that I had worn these kind of glasses my whole life, they kept slipping back into intimating that I didn't know what I was talking about!!!! I came back after a few days to readjust them. They had been severely uncomfortable and I had another glasses store loosen them to ease the discomfort. This had caused my glasses to slip - the other store said that I would need the ends significantly bent so that they wouldn't slip, but being another store, I wanted to leave any errors to Specsavers so that they would replace any possible damage made. So I went back to Specsavers where they readjusted it, but the discomfort was back a few hours later! Am a little over this store at this point and after a long day, just pull the side over my ear to let the side of my head recover... -_-

I recently had an optical emergency. My glasses (orignially from Specsavers Marion - west) came to…read morepieces in my hands on a Wednesday night. Regardless of the cause (be it faulty frames or one too many roundhouse kicks to the head that sent them flying at karate training) I had to do something. (In the mean time all I had were some out of date wrong script contacts and some prescription sunnies - neither of which incidentally were a great look at work!!) So....at 9pm I hopped on line and filled in the web form to see if I could get an appointment to get assessed for new contact lenses and see if the glasses were repairable. By about 930 Thursday morning they called me and made a time for me to come in that very afternoon to the East store (I wasn't aware there were two but the west store pointed me in the right direction = East!!). They took a look at my glasses and decided they were cactus (and now out of stock) but said since it was only a year or so since I got them they would replace with a frame of my choosing. Unfortunately they said this would take 10 days. They also tested me for glasses and contacts (even though I only got tested last year for glasses) and charged me nothing. They had to order the contacts for me to try which they said would take a few days. By the following Monday I got a call to say my new glasses were in - a week ahead of schedule. Went to collect and the contacts were also in so I made an appointment for that Thursday / Friday. I also chose 2 pairs of new frames to order a back up pair of glasses and sunnies incase of future mishaps. The gap was about $40 or less (due to antireflective lenses). Contact lens trial went well and they assisted me order online (cheaper) and the new lenses arrived to home about a week later. The contacts are working out great for training and the new specs are all fabulous and stylish. The staff at the shop were super helpful and even though the shop was always busy they always took the time to explain things / help with choosing frames / fitting things properly etc. I will definitely use them again!

You can get a nice pair of specs with no gap through a health fund, which is helpful. You can choose from a reasonable range, although their is not anything too trendy. Overall very good and I am pleased.

They certainly should but any excuse to keep our hard earned money in their hands they will endeavour to find Nevertheless the service I received during a very busy day was outstanding. Since my problem was orthopaedic and there is a Sports Injury / Orthopaedic Clinic on site when I was eventually seen by the ED doctor I was quickly referred to the right folk. Again this is a busy place and not all the patients were as tolerant as they should be. Regardless all the staff were kind, courteous, compassionate and professional. The clinical education and treatment was outstanding. So if you have $380 and want top quality care it's worth the cost. But do be nice to the staff. And remember they will be patients there alot sicker than you.

What a wonderful place…read more This review is for all the people who are afraid of going to a public dentist, especially to a learner dentist at a public dental school. I didn't have the money to get my wisdom teeth out, and had to go the public health services route. I am so glad I did! I hopped in the chair and was attended to a student who was not only hot (which was admittedly weird; nobody wants a hot stranger rummaging around in their mouth before at least one good boozy date) but also the most friendly, positive and focused of any dentists I've been to. He was incredibly gentle too and I felt no pain after the first anaesthetic jabs. They suck but they are about the same amount of pain as having blood taken from your arm. A lot of my friends have chosen to have the full anaesthetic while having their teeth extracted. Maybe if you need all four removed at the same time, you might choose that. (I only needed two removed). But I really want to tell you that even for someone like me, who gets shaky at the mere thought of dentists, it is much less painful than you'd imagine. So if you are waiting, quaking in your boots, for some pimply-faced dental student to do a little shop of horrors number on your face, take a deep breath and relax. These guys are being taught so well, both in 'customer service' (otherwise known as being a nice human being) and in dentistry. They'll leave you smiling!

I was surprised by the thorough questionnaire I had to complete prior to my first visit, but persevered. In my particular case I required X-ray which I had and then the treatments started. All I can say is "amazing". I felt better after that first visit and then got more better from there (yes, more better). Stuart talked me through the whole process and I now have appointments at least every 3 months if not when I think I need one. Everyone is friendly and helpful and thorough. My family go here and I have recommended Stuart to anyone that will listen. Stuart is not preferred by my insurance company but I don't care. If I didn't have insurance I would still go here.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed recently (two days ago, so if I'm thinking well of him at this point then he must have done something right) and could not have asked for a better doctor. Not only did he do a wonderful job removing my wisdom, he left hardly any remnants that he did so - I only have minor swelling and pretty much no pain! He has a wonderful bed side manner and is very approachable to ask questions of. All in all it was, I believe, the best possible experience I could have had in having my wisdom teeth removed.

Quite possibly the best chemist I have ever been to…read more The service is impeccable; every time I am here I have been greeted with very friendly, polite welcomes but not overbearing or fake. John White, the owner, is very down to earth and funny. It is situated as part of the block of shops on the corner of Melbourne St, facing Jerningham St. You can't miss the big green sign reading "White's Melbourne St Chemplus". My favourite part about this pharmacy is the prices! My gosh, they sell boxes of Kleenex Aloe Vera 3 ply tissues for $2! You would think it would be expensive, being a pharmacy and all, but that's cheaper than buying it at the supermarket. It's not just tissues; it's umbrellas, lip balm, lollies, anything you might find in a chemist - they sell most of it at very reasonable prices. Plus, I can't forget to mention that there's a Cibo right next door. Excellent.

Awesome new gym (or anti gym)!…read more The HIIT Centre is like a new home away from home. The trainers are friendly and motivating and everyone that goes is super friendly and encouraging. The training is unlike anything you've seen (or experienced) before. Sleds and battle ropes combined with traditional sprints and burpees. Everyone of all skill and fitness levels can do it and the trainers are always there to help you out. Best of all, this type of training puts your body into fat burning mode like no other!
