I rented a bike for two hours which cost me 40 euros which I thought was overpriced. The bike mechanic did not check the inflation of the tires as I watched him do for the previous customer and treated me in a condescending manner (maybe due to my age?). Nor did he wheel the bike outside for me as he did for the previous customer. The bike (touring bike with gears) operated well but the tires were slightly under inflated. I would not recommend this shop. read more

Bike mechanic would not switch saddle when I asked. Only can use Garmin bike holder. I have a Wahoo bike computer, so I had to use electrician tape to keep my bike computer in place. Due to sitbone pain, had to only use 1 day, instead of 2 days. I was given a free water bottle for my frustration of the rental. read more

I rented a bike for 30 days from Dejan. The bike was a Trek Madone with an Ultegra groupo. I rode throughout the area and the bike served me well. Dejan was very helpful. read more

This shop is not just for bike rentals. Retail store a little farther down the street with a great selection of clothing, bike accessories and bikes for sale. Staff are very helpful with clothing sizes and speak English if needed. Definitely worth a visit. read more

This was the second bike rental shop we went to, so we don't have a lot to compare it to, but it was a nice one. It opened earlier than the others, had a variety to choose from, and the price was right. We got "city bikes" (with no gears) and had them for 6 hours at 9 euro. They were a pretty, bright orange, and everyone complimented them as we rode by. Locks are included, but baskets are extra. And you must leave a credit card number as "collateral" and sign a "contract." read more

Friendly, relaxed, incredibly helpful staff. I inherited a crusty old bike and needed some help getting it fitted properly and finding a new seat. The staff treated me with the same respect and thoughtfulness as the spandex-and-clip wearers who were there to replace their expensive gear. This is a great, and very friendly bike shop - with a wide-range of options. I rented a high-end carbon fiber race bike, and on last-minute notice, and they really were accommodating in all areas. They got everything set up for me quickly, and the items I needed to purchase were available and at a fair price. My only regret was not having more days in Florence so i could have rented and rode more than one day. read more

I'll rent here again, if I happen to return to Firenze. I rented a bike, picked it up a little before closing the previous day, and rode it from Firenze to Lucca. The staff person was expecting me, and the let me take the bike earlier than their closing time. I rode it back to my flat rental that night, and was able to do my ride at the time I wanted to (5am). They included a helmet for no extra charge, unlike another rental I did in another country. Everything went smoothly here. Got a chance to see parts of Italy I wouldn't of seen otherwise, and met some Italian relatives... for the first time. read more

14 euro for a day rental and they're not strict about when you return the bike. The people here are super friendly and very helpful, they even gave my friend maps to explore the city with. I highly highly recommend coming here. There's no better way to see Florence than by bike! read more

My wife and I rented the Hybrid bikes for a day long tour with Mark from "Riding with Cosimo" on TripAdvisor. The bikes were in great shape and the shop really cares for them. We were given helmets, saddle bags (side bags that go on the bike), locks, and water bottles, an extra inner tube and air pump all included in the rental price of 29 Euro a person. The shop is also very close to some of the sights, but not so close that you have to fight a crowd to get there. read more

Great service, excellent prices, and well-maintained bikes--cruisers, touring, or road. I got a touring bike and headed up to Fiesole, a hill town only 10km away, but quite a climb. You are rewarded when you reach the top by sweeping views, an outdoor market (the best porchetta sandwich in my life), and a nice town. Riding through the streets of downtown Florence was also a blast. read more

The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. One person in particular gave us some great advice and they have a user friendly phone app to use if you are going on an excursion. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because they made the trip to the winery in Tuscany seem a lot easier than it was. They should warn you that the trip is completely uphill. My experience at Florence by Bike has been great. Every time I'm in Florence this is the bike shop of choice. Not only is the staff friendly and helpful, they go out of their way to give advice about road cycling routes nearby and have an organized team that I can ride with! The very first time I visited Florence, Lia was a gold mine of information on using the train system with my bike to get around to the surrounding areas. I highly recommend this business, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and can help you with anything you need related to cycling Florence. read more

by far, the worst service i could have imagined. absolutely rude and unhelpful. we landed from canada and went straight there with our bikes hoping to buy a few parts (roughly 500$ worth) and asked if we might also use the wide open space at the back of their store to assemble our boxed bikes. we only needed 20 mins. the store was empty. they refused. i ended up buying the one urgent thing i needed to actually build the bike and decided to take the rest of my business elsewhere. my boyfriend and i built our bikes on the street outside their store while they watched. do not go here, if you can avoid it. mean-spirited, unhelpful and shameful representations for the cycling community. read more

An all day bike tour through Tuscany was my best day in Italy so far. We've been in Italy for 6 days and have seen amazing art and beautiful architecture. But this outing was my favorite day. Our guide, Lorenzo, clearly loves his work and made sure we were all safe and enjoying ourselves. We had a small group of 6. The farmhouse visit and the home cooked meal exceeded my expectations. The ride was described as medium difficulty but I found it rather challenging because it was quite hilly. But I would do it again and recommend it to friends. If you're in decent shape and want a fun Italian experience beyond the tourist traps, this bike tour is a great choice! read more
