We had a great experience renting bikes here. We came right before closing the night we got to town and the lady at the desk gave us a discount for two days. We got two bikes, helmets, locks and a basket for 60 E. The bikes worked well and we rode them all over Firenze. I tipped my bike over the next day and my basket came off. Giramondo is run by a very friendly family from Brazil. Their prices are as good, if not better, than the other near by bike rental places. Their hours were better - they were open later and permitted us to bring our bikes back late in the evening. The owner greeted us upon return and insisted on having a drink with us. They were so friendly and accommodating. After visiting 2 other bike shops to get a feel for them, we knew we had made the right choice going with Giramondo. This is overdue but a rave review, nonetheless. If you are in Florence, YOU MUST RENT A BIKE HERE! First of all, riding a bike in Florence is an incredible experience. It's the best way to see the city. Certainly the highlight of our whole European trip. Secondly, the customer service here is beyond exceptional. Anna welcomes you with open arms and clearly loves what she does. She let me try pretty much every bike until I found one that was perfect. And she did this because she wanted the best experience for us. Not because she felt obligated. She is truly passionate and it's contagious. Also, she gave us great path suggestions to ensure that our day was filled with wonderful sightseeing. Even planning our trip to end in the best location to see the sunset. Although our reasonably priced full day rental was supposed to end at 7pm, she told us not to worry about returning it on time. We would go back there in a heartbeat, and still talk fondly of Anna and the store! Don't miss it! read more

my husband and I rented 2 bikes for a week as we had a villa rental that was a bit far afield. Ana, the owner, couldn't have been nicer. the bikes were in a perfect state of repair, and though they were heavy, we were grateful for their stability on all the cobbled crowded streets. Biking was the perfect way to see all corners of Florence, and Giramondo made it easy to accomplish. read more
