Every detail was thought out and well executed and the team was such a pleasure to work with. My custom vanities were perfect with all of the special built-ins that I requested. The custom color was beautiful. The countertops, all of my new light fixtures, all of the trim and custom finish work that was done to the walls- I couldn't have been more pleased with the work they did. All of their contractors were polite and professional, which is important when you have someone working for a period of time in your personal and private living space. I think that's harder and harder to come by these days- to have that many trades who are all high end and act like professionals. I highly recommend!!

Though the designers lose interest in the project after it starts. They didn't come and check on the progress and make sure it going according to plan 2. Demo went well 3. Installation was terrible. They do shoddy work and do not pay attention to detail. 4. They cut corners and hope the customer doesn't notice. There were so many quality issues that would not have been addressed had I not brought it to their attention. I felt like I was the only person responsible for quality control. No one bothered to come and inspect the work. 5. Communication is not good. They would make appointments with me and then not show up without letting me know. Overpriced for the quality of work done. I would not use them again for any project in the future.

He built a lower wall to enclose the back patio. Eventually it will be screened in. He reset my exterior doors that previously I had to jiggle to close. Other subcontractors who worked for me commented on the quality. He left my job site cleaner than he found it and was always polite and kept me up to date on progress. I'm hoping to hire him again soon to set interior doors and do trim work.

My wife and I had a horrible experience in working with Pat Schultz/Stonecliff homes. He worked…read morefor us for about four months, and then we finally fired him and hired a new general contractor. We would not recommend Pat Schultz/Stonecliff homes to anyone. He was dishonest, immature, lazy, and did extremely poor work. The first major incident occurred when Pat had to replace a piece of rotted sub-floor in the kitchen with a new piece. I went over to the home to check on the work and noticed when I stepped on the new piece, it was very weak. Upon further observation, I noticed the new piece was not proper sub-floor. He used a piece of T1-11 plywood siding panel. In addition to it not being the right piece of wood, it was cut very poorly with large gaps around it when installed (pic attached). So, I contacted Pat about the issue. Several days went by and I never heard back from him. Finally, when I did hear back from him, he said he would take care of the issue. So, I went back to the home about two weeks later, and the issue was still not corrected. I then contacted our HUD consultant about the issue and he contacted Pat. After our HUD consultant contacted him, the correct piece of wood was installed. Due to the sub-floor issue, my wife and I contacted Pat and expressed our concerns over his lack of communication, lack of work supervision, and lack of progress updates. He replied back and apologized so we decided to give him another chance. However, his behavior of not communicating, not supervising work, and not giving progress updates continued. The next major incident occurred when the new kitchen and bathroom cabinets were installed. Instead of properly measuring and cutting the holes in the backing of the cabinets for the pipes to go through for the sinks, they were ripped and torn (pics attached). And things just continued to get worse. They installed a faulty toilet in the 1st floor bathroom that leaked on the new floor and damaged it. So, during the removal of the toilet to replace the damaged floor, they scuffed up and dirtied the brand new base trim that was installed (pic attached) and never cleaned or replaced it or communicated at all about what was going to be done to fix it. The final incident that made us decide to fire Pat Schultz/Stonecliff homes was when we found uncapped electrical wires in the master bathroom that were live and no one was there working. We immediately contacted Pat about the issue and told him it was a severe fire hazard-something a professional GC should know- and we told him to please ensure it did not happen again. He told us OK. But when we went to the home the very next day, we found more live uncapped electrical wires. So, we immediately fired him. After we notified our HUD consultant that we had fired Pat, the HUD consultant had to come out to do an inspection to assess what had been done properly. During the inspection, my wife and I found out there were several other things done wrong. The HUD consultant said that Pat should have gotten a smaller dumpster for the demolition phase of the work because instead, he got a large one that did not fit in the driveway, so he set it partially in our front lawn which caused heavy damage to the lawn (pic attached) and now that needs to be fixed. Also, the pipes connected to the sump pump were broken during the demolition of the back deck (pic attached) and that was never communicated to us either. Also, the 2nd floor guest bathroom had trim that was cut and installed incorrectly (pic attached). One of the new kitchen cabinets was assembled incorrectly and it was damaged--the backing was completely torn out (pics attached). Also, one of the new windows was installed incorrectly and does not close completely. Overall, Pat Schultz acted very unprofessionally about the very reasonable requests that we made to get the home fixed up properly. He never cared about the quality of work being done nor about the damage he and his workers caused. Nor did he care about us as the customers trying to properly fix up their first home and make it a quality place to live. He does not deserve your time or money!

They gave me a reasonable estimate compared to other handymen. They started work a few days earlier than expected. The final bill was nearly the exact estimate. We had HTH paint numerous rooms and make a few repairs. The repairs consisted of repairing door/window frames and replacing portions of an upstairs bathroom ceiling/wall. Their work was outstanding. I woul definitely recommend HTH to anyone.

We were asked for extra money 2 different times, so we questioned more materials and money the last time, which led to confrontation .The first time we were scheduled to give a quote no one showed up or called to tell us. I called again and they rescheduled. Upon meeting both partners, they were friendly and we thought it would be a great fit. We hired them to do flooring and their guys were good. Where it gets hairy is there was confusion with who was responsible for the rest of the flooring. Instead of handling it in a professional manner, Alan was attacking. He is a hot head and lacks maturity and professionalism. He was attacking of our character and threatened to sue us. At that point, we paid our balance and asked him not to return. When we told his other business partner about the occurrence, his response was "I hate when he does that." To us, that showed this is a reoccurring issue. After this situation, I have heard from a few people that they too had some negative experiences. The reviews online are mainly all possible. The few negative reviews have shown a negative and attacking response from Alan. I cannot recommend this company due to the GC.

The team came out and did one day of work, and when the city came out requesting a permit, they strung us along for a month or two and ultimately walked from the project. The city asked for a simple permit plan and this company would not complete it. When confronting Julio we asked for our deposit back and he said he would return it to us however, we have not heard from him. I now have to get a lawyer involved and our project has been delayed 5 months. I would not trust in this construction team as they have not proven to be Dependable the circumstance. It's an older home so exhaust fans were not the standard in the 1950's. Initially he was responsive and came out to look at the project. He showed up on time and spent literally 2 minute in the home. Unfortunately I was on my way home hoping to run into him but was running 5 minutes behind from the appointment time. My wife sati he walked in asked one question and walked out. Gave her a card and said I'll provide a quote in a week. He said he would run the exhaust through the soffit which is an acceptable alternative but the best method is straight up through the roof. Anyways. I waited a week and a half and did not receive any communication. I reached out for a quote and to try and get install dates. I did not hear anything for 5 days so reached out again. I also sent him the exact exhaust fan My wife wanted as he never talked to me about the project nor asked questions . I was willing to even get the exhaust myself to ensure we had the right one. He did respond after the third Attempt about one week after the first. He says thanks for reaching out and that he would have a quote the next day. Another seven days went by and nothing. I did a final reach out and he went unresponsive. Pretty pathetic business practice and I would not recommend him to anybody. I can't say anything about his workmanship but with the unprofessional communication I would rather not work with anyone who can't keep their word. I would have have been ok he just manned up and said I am not interested in the project instead of wasting a consumers time.
