We are in Florence for a month and wanted to join a gym during our stay. 95€/month (about $100) is pretty steep considering we normally pay $35-50/month when on vacation. The equipment is good and plentiful and the gym is in a great, central location near the river. There are 2 main levels - cardio equipment on street level and weight machines and free weights on the floor above. (I think there's a classroom in the basement, too?) Being in the center of a very old city means that real estate is at a premium. In restaurants the tables are crammed together so closely that you might as well all be dining together, and the equipment in this gym is no different. It is packed so tightly that there is no personal space whatsoever. And did I mention that there's no air conditioning? It's warm and...odorous. The crowd here is also quite young (mostly 20s) particularly in the evenings with a lot of English speaking members. This isn't surprising given the large number of international students studying in Florence. You should also know this gym is absolutely packed after about 5pm! Go early, for sure. B O T T O M L I N E : It's a good gym with good equipment, but it's pricey and requires patience and tolerance for those who are used to a bit more personal space. read more

In the middle of my European vacation, my friend and I decided that we had one too many gelatos for us to feel good about ourselves. So we looked for all the nearest gyms to our hotel, and this one seemed the most reasonable in price for doing a 1 day gym session. Almost all the gyms cost 20 euro or more for 1 day, while this one cost 15 euro for 1 day (which to me was still pricey). This gym has 2 floors. The first floor has all the running machines such as treadmills, stairmasters, etc. They only have 5 treadmills and 1 was broken, so only 4 were functional. The second floor has 3 rooms, 1 room has all the machines for working out the rest of the body, such as a the chest, back, arms, shoulders etc. There is also a yoga room in that floor for all your mat exercises. The 3rd room is where all the weights are. There were few people at the gym so getting your chance at the machine or weights wasn't that difficult. I got a solid 2 hours of working out done without having to wait for any of the machines. My friend had to wait for the treadmill since there were only 4 working treadmills. This gym lacks air conditioning so I was sweating a lot while doing my exercies but fortunately all the windows were opened. Overall, this gym is clean and has nice equipment so I give it a solid 4 stars! read more

I was in Florence for a month and purchased a monthly membership for 95 euros. The gym is centrally located and has everything you need. It looks small but it has three floors. The main floor is cardio equipment. The top floor has weights and weight machines. And the basement has kettlebells and smaller weights (great if you want some space since no one is ever down there). The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. Would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling that is looking for a good gym! read more

Just spent a few days in Florence and got a 3 day pass for the gym ($35 Euro.) My husband and I are picky about gyms and workout 6-7 days per week (going on vacation doesn't mean going on vacation from the gym for us...) This place is perfectly located (only a 5 min or so walk from the train station) and has everything one would to get in a good workout. If I lived in Florence, I could definitely see this place being my "home" gym. The guy at the front desk was super friendly and accommodating to our English/Spanish speaking with the little bit of Italian we know. *Quick tip: Don't forget to bring your own towel. :) read more

I recently signed up for Florence Fitness since it is a small affordable, and clean gym in the center of the city. It is actually surprisingly hard to find anything for a good price when it comes to gyms, you either pay a ton at Klab or Virgin or pay little but you can expect old machines and the smell of BO permeating your workout. Florence Fitness is on via dei fossi, the road that runs from piazza goldoni to the station. The space is quite small, don't expect a pool, sauna etc. But it is well used. There are plenty of weight machines, 4 treadmills (which are super modern), various cardio machines, weight balls, etc. They also have classes (yoga, step etc) which are included in the price of the membership, which is pretty awesome. Fro six months, I pay around 56 euros a month and can come anytime I want. it's open M-F 8am - 10pm , Saturday closes at 6pm, Sunday closes at 1pm. As long as you don't go around 6 on a weekday, it's never 'that full'. My only complaint is that the lockers rooms could use a little more 'amore' because as they are used all day, they can get a little dirty or run out of toilet paper etc. By no means that bad but it was something I noted after a week going For some who is looking to do a quick workout, close to home in a nice place. This is perfect, I really am happy that I doled out the money. Also the staff is helpful, always smiling and I can appreciate that. They also have free (and working WIFI, unless you are in the upstairs weight room). I definitely approve - worth the money and the location can't be beat! read more

This is a well equipped gym with full sets of free weight and dumbbells as well as many machines There is only one bench press setup, but it's usually not so crowded so I could use it every time. One-week pass was 55 euro I believe, around 2019. read more

These guys have no idea how to run a gym or a business. Their flyer says they are open, have classes on and you turn up and they decide to close early and just stare at you from the window. Thus happened to me and friends of mine visiting Florence on multiple occasions. They also say they speak English on their flyer but if you call up and speak English they hang up on you. Great location. Also, complete equipment and well organized. Dumbbells could benefit from being organized by size but that's about it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cardio equipment is in great shape and is perfect for both a quick warm-up or a long cardio session. If you are more into weights, you won't be disappointed. This is a beautiful medium-sized gym in the center of Florence. I was quite happy here until one rainy day the owner Dario - who I'd never met before - came up to me in the gym and insisted that I return to the front door to wipe my feet on the doormat! I reluctantly complied and challenged him on the issue. I then proceeded upstairs to the weight room and began arranging the bench press. This was not the end of the matter. Dario came upstairs and approached me at the weight bench, aggressively "explaining" that the gym was his "home" and that this somehow translated into my having transgressed it. I told him in no uncertain terms that the gym is not his home, that it is a paid environment. He went so far as to place his hand on my shoulder. At this point I determined that he had transgressed my boundaries and requested my money back which was eventually returned to me. I don't know if he was having a stressful day but that's no excuse to harass me. Yes your gym is nice but it is not your home. It is a paid environment where I should not have to worry about being corralled and then harassed by the owner for having walked in from a rainy street. New members may have a better experience, and hopefully Dario has learned from this incident that he needs to treat customers with more respect. Therefore I will still recommend this gym as it is the nicest in Florence city center. I hope that my experience was just a fluke. read more
