This is my dog that the Florence Veterinary Hospital kicked out and refused to treat! .

If I could give this place zero stars I would! I scheduled an appointment for my dog on 8/16/2023 because she had a hot spot on her stomach and she had scratched her stomach raw. When I called to schedule the appointment, they had asked what the appointment was for so I told them about the hotspot and requested that they also clip her nails. My appointment was at 2:40. When I arrived for my appointment, there was a sign on the door that said "we're closed be back at 4:00. As I was headed back to my car, another customer came to the door and the vet was inside. When he opened the door for her and her dog, I stated oh if you are opened, I also have an appointment at 2:40. The vet seemed irritated that I had an appointment and said what time is it now? I replied 2:45. He rudely said, "well if you have an appointment, bring your dog and he closed the door. I replied ok, let me get my dog. When my dog and I got inside, the other customer was assisted right away and I noticed how everyone else were sitting in the back having lunch or on some sort of break which explains why they had the closed sign on the door. After sitting there being ignored for 30 minutes, someone finally came to the front reception area to check me in. She was a very pleasant young lady. She walked me to the exam room and in comes the same vet who seemed to be annoyed by my very existence. Prior to him checking my dog, I asked if he could also clip her nails and he said no the girls are at lunch. So I asked what I believed was the logical next question "Why would you all schedule an appointment if you are at lunch and can't treat patients? At that precise moment the vet snapped and said "Get your dog and get out!" In my astonishment, I replied "What? Are you not going to treat my dog? He yelled NO! FIND ANOTHER VET! I DON'T LIKE YOU ASKING ME QUESTIONS! then he opened the door and kicked me and my dog out! What in the hell kind of vet does that? I thought vets, became vets because they loved animals and don't want to see them in pain. Not at Florence Vetenarian Hospital, they are cold and have no compassion for animals. Also, I think the Vet didn't take his meds today because he clearly has some kind of mental problem. A real nut case is he!

Dr. Flores & his staff are amazing they saved two of my dogs lives. They went above & beyond fitting me in and doing surgery. My dogs are alive because of him. I would definitely recommend him & his staff. A+

This is post-op after revised 3rd surgery.

After two surgeries, my kitten's eye continued to ooze and was starting to open again at the incision site. The office was closed for about a week. I took my kitten to another vet for yet another (emergency) surgery. They found an abundant necrotic tissue and remnants of his injured eye. Thank goodness my little kitten is now on the to recovery after 5 weeks and 3 surgeries. He's going to be OK, and even though it is an hour drive to the new vet, I will no longer be going to FLORENCE VETERINARY HOSPITAL. I have spent in excess of $1,000.

I want to start by acknowledging that euthanizing a pet is already one of the hardest decisions a…read morefamily can make. We were in an incredibly painful situation, our dog had bitten our daughter in the face twice and needed to be euthanized for her safety. We had adopted him from a shelter, and finding a compassionate, affordable option was not easy. Shelters were at capacity, the SPCA quoted over $500, and other vets were similarly overpriced. We called Northpoint, received a price over the phone, and made the 45-minute drive from out of town, already emotionally drained. What we experienced once we arrived made a devastating day so much worse. First, upon arrival we were informed, for the first time, that we needed to bring paperwork from the shelter where we adopted our dog. No one mentioned this when we called. Staff attempted to contact the shelter themselves, said they couldn't reach them, and then told us they might not be able to help us at all. My husband had to get back in the car, drive to the shelter to retrieve immunization records, and return, adding significant time and stress to an already traumatic experience. Second, when we were finally seen, they quoted us a higher price than what we were given over the phone. They also attempted to add an urgent care fee, claiming we had been given an urgent appointment, which was not true. My husband had to push back just to get them to reconsider. When he mentioned the original price we were quoted by phone, staff told him there was nothing they could do. We were grieving. We were exhausted. We had already driven nearly an hour and a half round trip for paperwork. And Northpoint chose that moment to add surprise fees and dismiss our concerns entirely. It felt like they knew we had no other options and used that against us. I wouldn't wish this experience on any family already going through the pain of losing a pet. If you're in a similar situation, I'd encourage you to get everything, pricing and requirements, in writing before you make the trip.

All were difficult to handle for them yet have had no problems at other vet medical visits elsewhere. My havapoo pictured below has not been right since returning home...she is walking very, very slowly, has her head down and will not eat. It is painful when lightly pet on her back and sides. I paid $459 for worry and anxiety resulting from the services provided at this community clinic. As i have used Vip in the past without complaint, going forward i cannot take the risk of injury in the future and will pay the additional money for vaccinations at my local vet. Angie the vet tech said WE CAN'T SEE YOUR PET we can do life saving treatments, I said again, I'm asking for labs to be done and the pet is not in need of lifesaving treatment then ANGIE said we do NOT TREAT sick pets. AGAIN I advised ANGIE my pet is NOT sick, is eating, pooping, no vomitting, peeing. etc. I also asked for the policy and ANGIE could not provide this. Also Angie did not confirm this with the vet she made her own assumptions and when I asked to speak to the supervisor she said "I am the supervisor". very mouthy staff that does not know what she is talking to. my dogs have had gastritis for many years and on and off antibiotics and this has NEVER been an issue and now we got the COMMANDER in charge ANGIE ruling with a gavel indicting who, when , where, and why with nothing in writing. ANGIE needs to be excused as a customer service rep. as she has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND lacks professionalism.
