We took our two granddaughters air boating with Captain Krista on July 6, 2021. She was very informative throughout the tour and the tour itself was a hit with the two teens! We highly recommend Captain Krista. My only note is that when I was looking for airboat tours near Vero Beach, I clicked on Marsh Beast and thought I had booked on that. I actually called the number and booked the tour. To my surprise, upon receiving the confirmation email, it was from Florida Airboat Excursions. I initially thought I had been scammed. When we arrived, Captain Krista informed us that there are several tour companies that book together with the two captains. I do encourage these companies to be more up front during the booking process to alleviate any concerns from clients. They should note those companies like Stumpknocker, MarchBeast, Florida AirBoats and others on the website so we know in advance. But please utilize Captain Krista. She is a gem! read more

We had a group take the tour with the primary goal to see alligators in the wild. Someone from this company called us the day before and offered that our group could come earlier in the day for our reservation in order to see more wildlife, as the weather had been hot in recent days. I was impressed that they made that effort to try to ensure we had a great tour. We were not able to tour earlier as offered. Our captain, Krista, was a fabulous, knowledgeable, personable guide. We saw lots of wildlife and several gators! The headsets that muffled the engine noise and allowed her to speak to us were extremely helpful and added value to the tour. She took the time to learn the names of all the guests and was very interactive with us all. The only negative is that it's hard to find where to meet up. Some signage along the roads in would be very helpful! read more

Captain John and Captain Krista were very personable and knowledgeable, showing us wildlife, nests, plant life, etc. They even have some stories about the origins of the area. Their website warns you that the facilities (porta potties) in the conservation area aren't well taken care of...believe them. We live in Port St. Lucie and will be sure to bring our family here when they come to visit. Access to the boats is very easy but you do have to be able to walk onto them. The directions on many of the airboat websites are terrible and please do NOT follow the Google Map link that they have. Simply take I-95 to Exit 147 FL-60 W (Vero Beach Outlet Center exit), Go west towards Lake Wales for almost 8 miles and turn right onto County Rd 512, The entrance to the Conservation area will be on the left in about 1.5 miles. read more

The guide definitely makes this awesome trip even more spectacular! We have gone with Floride Airboat Excursions multiple times and always enjoy every minute. Kids and adults alike love this fun adventure on the water and the captain definitely knows where to go to see the incredible wildlife, the flora and fauna of the area and how to keep everyone entertained for the entire trip! What a fabulous time our family had with Capt. John and his Great Airboat!!!! Our family recently spent 2 weeks in Florida and the highlight of our trip was our ride with Capt John. Our 18 and 21 year old daughters loved the ride so much that we scheduled a private ride for longer time the following day. Capt John tailored a trip to meet our family needs and his knowledge and expertise combined with his great sense of humor made for the BEST DAY EVER. Capt John was the best. As a Bostonian and nature lover, this was a wonderful experience. We saw lots of gators and Capt John was so knowledgeable about all the birds, vegetation and other wildlife in the area. His enthusiasm and love for the area really come through in his explanations. He is the only boat to go up and over the berm to the other side of the marsh. We saw very large gators over there and an osprey eating his freshly caught lunch. The age in our group ranged from 71 to 9. Everyone had a great time. Cannot recommend enough! read more

On Feb 11 my grandson and i had the pleasure of taking a tour with Captain Krista. I had only used Captain Lawerence in the past. I could not be any happier with the manner in which Captain Krista conducted herself. She was very saftey consious and professional. Krista was over the top in her knowledge of the area and the way she explained exactly what we were seeing. If my time in Florida had not been cut short by the virus i would have gone again. Captain John took us on an amazing adventure today! Me, my husband and two year old were so impressed with all the alligators, birds, turtles we saw. We spent an hour on the boat and the time flew by. I was anxious to take a young child, but captain John made sure we were all comfortable and had all the necessary safety equipment for all passengers...even the little ones. Such an amazing experience for my two children, ages 6 and 9 and my parents. We were able to sit in the front seat.
