If you enroll in any of the policies here with title "SELECT" - understand it means very few local places will take your "insurance" and you are essentially paying for a policy which almost everything is "Out of Network" - the few places that take "SELECT" are either not taking new patients, have long waits for open appointments, far away or not good - buyer beware! I wish I knew, would NEVER EVER EVER enroll gain in FL Blue SELECT. Also this FL Blue Center is commission-based salespeople who sell Florida Blue policies which are crazy expensive and not widely taken by local medical practices - Florida Blue Select PPO for example has a completely different in-network providers than Florida blue select HMO - search for yourself - maybe 6 ENTs within 30 miles that are "in-network" and then you call them and nope, not accepted. when you actually pay the huge premiums and later find out almost none of your doctors actually accept this insurance it is up to you to track all of the "out of network" spending to finally get some compensation - even in network, it is very common for charges to de denied for up to 12 months before settling with the provider - totally unhappy with Florida Blue sold bv this Florida Blue Center...their answer? To send me a "mental health" survey? Got to be kidding - avoid even thinking about buying an individual health insurance policy here. James no longer works at this location, I had an awesome experience with him in the past, but fell for the sales pitch with someone else.. They will use scare tactics. FYI - Some of the actual employees & relatives of those employees have been posting 5 star reviews online to improve their overall score...Read the actual reviews from real customers and hopefully find what works best for you - Good luck. read more

Not necessarily the office but the entire company is a joke. They are the worst insurance company around. Grievances never addressed, no customer service resolutions, no company management support. they leave their customers high and dry. I'm switching. Horrible company to deal with. read more

FIRST: Tried to buy health insurance on the Florida Blue website today. I entered all the relevant information and hit the submit and sign button to complete the procedure...and the website said "go back and make sure all areas are filled out". I did. They were. I went back FIVE TIMES! It just kept spinning me back to the same "make sure et cetera" page. So, I thought I'd call their call center for a human. SECOND: Got person on phone, who took 35 minutes to enter just my name, SS#, address and a few other details. 35 minutes and he couldn't go any farther due to "my computer is slow". I knew the plan I wanted but he insisted that he wanted to go into excruciating detail on what the plan entailed. (I had already compared plans on their website and knew exactly which plan I wanted.) Approaching 40 minutes on the call, the operator was sweating bullets and I just asked him to call me back "when his computer worked". So, why should I spend almost two hours total trying to get health insurance from a company that is obviously ill-equipped to provide meaningful service? I'm calling Humana. Sorry, Florida Blue. Call center for questions was horrible. I spoke to Carol and she cut off every sentence and question I had to yell over me. I stopped talking because I realized there was no point, she proceeded to yell at me over the phone about her not knowing the answer to what she assumed was my question (it was not my question as I was not allowed to finish my sentence). I have no idea what to do with my plan and none of my questions have been answered. Management, I encourage you to listen to some of those quality assurance recordings for this location. I had a great experience here! I didn't think that I would be eligible for insurance that I could afford but David Uribe worked with me and helped me find a plan! I can thank him enough- as a single dad, my kids have insurance but now I can rest easy knowing that I have insurance too. Sabrina was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. I was in and out with a smile within 5 minutes. Apparently my issue needed to be settled through the marketplace. I was confused because it was a Florida Blue policy, but she could have just sent me away and told me I have to contact them but instead she was very helpful and even wrote down phone numbers and even offered to take care of the things that she was able to access. Been trying to get insurance cards since January. It's now February and our premium is paid. Still no cards or coverage!!! My husband is sick and in need of blood pressure medication as well. Call hold times are impossibly long and NOBODY knows what they are doing. Should have stayed with Humana and paid a little more. Obamacare is a joke and Florida Blue is awful!!! read more

Tonya, Tonya, Tonya from the Pinellas Park office of Florida Blue,,, If only Florida Blue could hire more employees like her, especially in the headquarters of Miami or Jacksonville where there is virtually no one that is capable of answering even simple questions. Once you get past the talking computer supplied by an alien nation that asks so many questions to finally make you so angry that you want to jump off a tall building you are now considered ready to be transferred around to at least three people who all ask for the same information again and again to only to get an associate who barely knows anything relevant as to why you are calling. I am thinking suicide at this point as there is no reason to live as I am buried in brochures from so many companies regarding my Medicare supplement and being an old guy whose brain synapses are not snapping like they use to was just so confusing for me. I decided I had to go see for myself eyeball to eyeball what these so called company trained employees look like in person as I have been with Blue Cross/Florida Blue for 30 years or more and wanted to know exactly what my benefits were now that I am on Medicare so I could make a decision if I wanted to go with another insurer. So I got in my truck angry and headed to Pinellas Park to try to get some quality information from a Florida Blue employee figuring that at least one of them staffing the office was trained properly by Florida Blue to answer some very basic questions. I was greeted properly from a smiling face at the door, spoke with a very nice gentleman who checked me in and directed me to Tonya's office. What a breath of fresh air to finally to meet in person with someone knowledgeable and highly qualified to answer all my questions simply and quickly in a way that I can even understand and who actually cares about helping you make the right decisions for yourself. My advice,,,, never call the 800 numbers to corporate, make an appointment with Tonya if you don't want to be stressed out dealing with people over the phone at Florida Blue headquarters who are barely qualified to answer a phone let alone provide simple correct answers. She deserves recognition from the CEO of the company and a raise. If only Florida Blue would put more effort in finding more people like her, they would be able to get rid of a lot of dead weight on their payroll and give people like Tonya a better pay scale. Do yourself a favor and ask for her, you will be pleased you did. I left keeping my plan intact when just a few hours prior I was going to jump ship to any plan but Florida Blue. The rating should be zero. I went into this Florida Blue office yesterday with regard to an online bill for $1715 for April and May 2017. I had just paid my April and May bill online, it was accepted and deducted from my bank account ($1500+ lower). The lady I spoke with, no names mentioned, saw this $1715 online bill and told me "I do not know what this is" said sorry and sent me on my way. Today, I received this bill in the mail and called Florida Blue (not this branch) and in less than 10 minutes they told me an amended bill was sent out last week with corrections and I should receive the hard copy in a day or two. My 2nd visit to this branch, no help either time. Steer Clear of this one, imo. Waste of your time. read more
