Every time I've been to St Pete MRI for myself or accompanying someone else, Tim is detail oriented, calm, courteous, and makes sure everything is comfortable for the patient. Absolutely impossible to get a live person on the phone. I tried every combination that their little AI voice offered and none of them got me a person. I tried saying operator, I tried saying agent, I tried saying Help! As a last resort I even said that I wanted to pay a bill and that didn't work either. My PCD wanted some X-rays. He gave me Saint Pete MRI as one of the options. The AI told me X-rays were walk-in only, but I wanted to know if they accepted my insurance and could not get an answer from the AI and live people don't answer their phone. A month goes by and my wing man Gary needed an MRI. His doctor faxed an order, and Saint Pete MRI called Gary with an appointment. Apparently, this is the only way to get service. When I dropped him off I went inside and asked if they accepted my insurance for future reference. The answer: NO. I went to Saint Pete MRI for a chest CT and have to say it was a great experience. Scheduling was very easy. The receptionist, Jaci, could not have been more helpful and pleasant! Signing in was easy and quick. I had to have an injection for the CT contrast. The nurse, Sarah, put me at ease and the procedure went very smoothly. A CD of the images was given to me before I left which is great as I need to share it with my other doctors. The facility is very clean and comfortable. Very professional overall. I made the appointment and filled out the online paperwork. I did disclose that I have facial piercings. When I arrived and got changed into the gown, I was informed they had to be removed. I had no idea as this was my first MRI. That would be fine, I was disappointed, but one of the nurses crossed the line. She said, Well, your TMJ must not be that bad! Was that necessary or professional?? I told her, it's not an earring, they have to be professionally put in and taken out, I don't have the tools to do it, nor did I know it was an issue to have been prepared. She really crossed the line when she said that. It was rude and unprofessional. I am a big guy. Back in 2021 I shattered my foot and needed an MRI to help diagnose the full extent. Most places didn't have a machine that could handle a human my size. I contacted this location on Monday, May 16 to schedule an MRI that I had a rx for. They are very clear that you are not allowed to contact them in any manner before 14 business days so that they can work and not be delayed on getting your authorization. There was absolute crickets from them in the entire 14 days. On business day 14, June 6, I called them to follow up. They told me they had reached out to my chiropractor one time on the 16th and had made no future contact or attempt to get doctor notes because they said they were too busy. They also lied stating they had not received a Rx from the DC. I was present when the authorization was sent and the DC had proof of confirmation. If they are to have a system that prevents the customer from reaching out for updates; then they must actually follow through. Now it is almost one month later and I am needing to find another and a professional facility. Don't waste your time - literally- at this place. They have zero cares for their prospective customer, who is in pain and waiting for help. read more

I didn't get very far at this clinic. They called my to schedule an MRI. I was excited to get an appointment the very next day. Although they asked my to arrive 30 minutes early (which I did), I waited over an hour for my appointment. I lost money by getting approval to leave work for my appointment and never was called or given an update on when I'd be next. I quietly left letting them know I'd need to go back to work and reschedule. The front desk did not take any initiative to reschedule me but simply said ok. I never got far enough with this company to have my perscribed medical procedure performed. Got an rx for a sleep study 4/21. It was sent to St Pete MRI that day. Never heard from them so i called a week later. They prefer email and ask that you not leave a message. When i called back i was told that they didn't have my rx, but then conveniently found it after i gave them the Neurologists name. I was told not to call call back for 14 days because it would take them at least that long to get insurance approval. Called my insurance company a week later to verify they had received insurance authorization request from st pete MRI. They had not. Then called st pete mri again, left message again, no call back again. Called again today and miraculously got someone on the phone. Was told they had stopped providing sleep studies. Took me 2 weeks to find that out. Worse customer service i have ever had. read more

This review is based solely on my experience of a take-home sleep study. KEY TAKEAWAYS - AWESOME STAFF -- Cici and Tam from the Sleep Center were awesome! -- It was obvious how Tam cared for the clients and potential clients. She was a rock star. All of the staff I encountered were really kind and helpful. Can sometimes be a long wait when you call before you can speak to someone, but I have found everyone to be professional, courteous and knowledgeable once you do get a hold of them. - WAIT TIMES -- I do had some Insurance issues so had to call the center at least 5 different times for various reasons. Waiting on hold was painfully frustrating because there is a few seconds of a typical musical routine and then the music stops, it sounds like someone has picked up, and they repeat this much louder and very long message about wait times. I really wish they would just ditch the message on repeat because it psyched me out every time, because I wasn't sure if someone had picked up, so you I to be extra attentive to my phone, rather than letting it sit idle, while I do other things. -- I was told turnaround for results could be around 10 days. Mine took 10-12 ish days to get results to my doctor, but the Christmas holiday was thrown in there, so understandable. -COVID -- I didn't do an in-center study, but did see the rooms, which looked clean and tidy. I visited a total of 3 times and did see employees either wearing masks or putting on their masks as I entered, so do with that what you will. My husband was recently sent here by his doctor when they suspected he was suffering from a pinched nerve. The woman at the front desk could not find his paperwork and was exceptionally rude to him. He states she threw his appointment confirmation form at him and said she couldn't find him. Coincidentally, there was another woman crying in the parking lot after the Woman at the front desk treated her exactly the same. You have to remember that you are dealing with people who are in pain. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. I did call the office later and insisted on speaking to the office manager. She admitted that the woman at the front desk needed some attention and customer service training. We opted to go to Central Imaging instead and had a much better experience. read more

This MRi/imaging facility went above and beyond their call of duty. Not only did they squeeze me in for a STAT MRI but the manager, Ms. Rebecca Brady, also followed up to make sure the ER get my results. Mind you, they are already closed but Ms. Rebecca took it upon herself to give her personal number to make sure that the hospital could get a hold of my MRI report and images. I have never seen this in any other imaging place. It shows how they love to help and empathize with you when you get a bad news regarding your health. One of her techs named Rebecca too was very sweet and empathetic during my MRI session. She made sure I am comfortable and at ease. You can tell that she cares too. They eased my nervousness. The next day, I texted Ms. Rebecca Brady, the manager, if she could help me out in sending me a copy of my MRI result. She called me right away and said that she would send it and will be glad to send my result too to another Neurosurgeon. Mind you, this is the weekend! I cannot believe I am getting this VIP treatment from an imaging place that I've only been once! I am truly grateful for what you guys have done for me. It shows how you guys care for your clients at a personal level. I recommend this place 100%! I would never go anywhere else even though I live in Holiday! My doctor sent my order for a Home Sleep Study on 4/8/22. I resent the order at the request of SPMRI on 4/11/22. Today is 5/27/22. I have called and called. Left voice-mail. Sent emails per their preference. I have received no email replies. I have had exactly 2 call backs. They don't answer the phone. They don't respond to email. They do not keep their patients in the loop of what's happening. What's the hold up and what's the problem with this place? There's 1 star here because I can't give zero. I was ordered to have abdominal ultrasound a couple of weeks ago. Being a self paid patient, I needed to get the best possible price. The person who was doing the scheduling was super sweet, he understood the urgency and I got an appointment for the very next day. Location is great and the office was clean and all the stuff very friendly. Angela, who was performing my ultrasound was just lovely. I recently ruptured my Achilles' tendon and battled with my insurance for a week to get the MRI approved. Once approved, I spoke with Kristen in scheduling at Saint Pete MRI and was told the first available appointment was a week out, but she would get me on a cancellation list. I received a call the very next day from Kristen to tell me they were running ahead of schedule and could get me in. The staff was expecting me when I arrived, had all of my paperwork ready for me and had me in and out in no time at all. The facility was clean, the staff was professional and efficient, and communication throughout the process was on point. I have no idea how this place is because I didn't get that far. Against my better judgement we called to schedule an MRI ordered by my daughter's orthopedic doctor as he has quick access to results. She has had all MRIs at All Children's in the past. My insurance requires authorization which I know. With my insurance it takes 2 days for authorization. St. Pete MRI received the order and records last Weds. I spoke to someone last Thursday and last Friday and was told that they would be submitted to insurance for authorization and then I could schedule. I gave l it 2 more days. Called today (Tuesday) and they had yet to submit to my insurance for authorization. They had the paperwork for almost a week. I said forget it. Don't submit it. I am now bringing her to All Children's. There's no excuse for any medical facility to take a week to even submit for authorization while a child or anyone else is in pain waiting to get an MRI. Over 2 years ago we discovered St Pete MRI and have found them to provide exceptional patient care when we've needed X-rays, CT Scans, MRIs and Ultrasound tests. Most doctor offices don't understand the "codes" for insurance purposes but the staff at St Pete MRI clearly knows and has provided guidance even contacting my doctors office to verify the correct code for the needed procedure. The office staff is professional, courteous and focused on making the patient feel comfortable during each procedure. We've always been seen promptly and the results have been provided back to our doctor quickly. Just yesterday we again had 2 procedures needed for a doctors appointment later in the week and their office was able to complete both, again providing the correct insurance codes to our doctors office, within one day. We're fortunate to have found this office which provides excellent patient care and follow through when test procedures are authorized by a doctors office. read more
