I wish I would never have to write a review for any cancer doctor or center, but unfortunately that…read moreis not the case. My husband was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and as he had seen one of the physicians here for a non-cancer reason he wanted to come back to an office he felt familiar with. This practice has several offices located around the area. We have only visited the one on Shircliff and the one in Fleming Island. His doctor is at the Shircliff location so this is where we've been most of the time. All I can say is this place is amazing. The staff are so friendly and caring. They take the time to answer any and all of your questions and concerns. All of them from the front desk to the phlebotomists to the RN's up to the ARNPs and doctors are fantastic. I felt immediately that they had only my husband's best interest in mind when setting up his care plan. We see Dr. Badrinath who is so calm and straightforward. His presence is very calming. Our first visit was longer than one hour and I never felt like he was rushing us. One thing I like is that with every visit they hand you your results, so we have a folder with all of his labs, scans, etc. available to us at home if needed. I don't wish anyone to have to visit this office, but if you needed to, this is a great practice and my husband trusts them 100%.

She is shows true concern for my wife's health and well being. Dr T has always kept us up to date on the procedures that she is initiating and what to expect. When it was discovered that the medication Tagrisso has stopped working she immediately set out to find the correct solution and advised us of the alternative drugs. She called us at home to tell us and explain what was happening and what treatment was necessary. I have never seen a Specialist go out of their way to ensure that the patient is being made the number 1 priority. Her knowledge and expertise is amazing and her ability to explain and ease any anxiety my wife experienced. Dr T always shows concern and interest in all aspects of my wife's well being both physically and mentally. She truly cares for her patients and we feel she made her top priority. Thank Your Dr T for taking such great care of my wife. Truly and asset to CSNF. Her staff is so caring and just plain nice. We are so happy and impressed with her and Cancer Specialist of North Florida.

I legitimately had no where to turn for advice as no other woman in my family had had a previous diagnosis. I've always strived to be the one to pave the path for others... but this isn't one I'd ever wanted to tackle. I was petrified upon hearing my diagnosis... invasive ductal carcinoma, among other foreign terminology... radiologist, core needle biopsy, mastectomy, estrogen & progesterone receptor, lumpectomy, tamoxifen.... Among countless others! Upon referral to MD Anderson Cancer Center, several things became simpler to discern and I chose the most viable option for myself. The staff that I've been assigned have been very gracious, supportive, helpful, understanding, knowledgeable, and informative medical professionals I've had the pleasure to encounter. From the lobby staff to the scrub techs, to the radiographers and all the way to the surgical team... everyone has been amazingly sincere with their every intention! I cannot say enough about the professionalism and dedication to excellence MD Anderson employees have graced me with! I'm now 4 years cancer free and I owe it all to MD Anderson in conjunction with The Hill Breast Center and Baptist Medical Center! May they continue to eradicate not only Breast virus Cancer but ALL cancer!!! #savinglivesonepatientatatime

Let me start off by saying that when you have cancer it is never easy, but everyone here really tried to do their best to treat us with respect, care and professionalism. There is not much these people can do to change your circumstances but they do try to make their part as painless as possible. Dr. Mekhail's administrative assistant, Teri, is incredible. She keeps a thousand balls up in the air at once and never drops one of them. She comes to the phone when you call, she sets up all of your appointments for their office as well as for scans and blood work or any other testing done outside of their office. She has incredible follow through and she knows who you are when you call or come in. Thank You Teri. Dr. Mekhail's nurse and now part of the protocol research team is Tammy. During the first few appointments Tammy showed such kindness, patience, grace and offered us so much comfort that we will be eternally grateful. She was also full of information and little tips of how to deal with what was going to be happening. Thank You Tammy. In the chemo room a special thank you to Robert and Mel and there was one other woman, a black woman who I apologize - I don't know her name, who treated my friend with such tenderness and warmth AND expertise. You all made the rigors of chemo palatable. Thank you. There are times you will wait. They are incredibly busy. My friend grew impatient at the wait at times, understandably so, she was usually in pain, exhausted, nauseous and anxious. For me, sitting in the chair next to her, I understood the waits. So, There but for the grace of God go I, if I were diagnosed with cancer tomorrow would I go to the Cancer Institute of Florida? Yes, I would. Thank you all for your care during a difficult time.
