I have been seeing Dr. Garrett since 2024 and every visit has been the most pleasant I have ever experienced with a doctor's office. I have never waited more than 5 minutes for an appointment and with serious complaints, I have been able to get in same day. Everyone in the office treats me with unconditional positive regard. If you are seeking unprofessional, rude, and incompetence-- This is your place! It's truly unfortunate that I was unable to keep my appointment for a new PCP, one that was highly recommended for my area. When simply trying to find out my patient responsibility, I was met with an unexpected response from the most rude receptionist. That says a lot, considering I'm from the northeast and have not been spoken to in such a manner since moving here to Florida. Not only would she flat out refuse to give me any information I was asking. She said I would have to call my insurance company and get the answers I was asking for. I explained to this woman, my insurance company does not know how much you submit for office visits. They're going to want a code. No code. Nothing! The call ended with me saying, "I guess we will just have to wait and see!" This woman, proceeded to call me back, continuing with her unprofessionalism. I told her there was absolutely no reason for her to call me back. I asked her why she was so upset since she clearly was. There are so many details that I just don't care to type. I clearly didn't feel comfortable going to my appointment (3days later). So I called and got a lovely lady who answered. I explained my reason for canceling my appointment. She was very pleasant and apologized. Definitely not happy with the fact I now have to wait 2 months for another provider. Wow. This Dr. Dr Garrett and I call him this loosely. Neglected my mother and when I found Caring Hearts it took almost 2 weeks to send her medical records to them. His wife practicing with him was arrested for child abuse for one of their adopted children. Look it up. After numerous calls he wanted $ to do a telehealth call. i have been seeing this DR. for awhile now. in my opinion he takes the "refer me to someone else role" to the max! like all primary care doctors , he is just there as a figure head!! he is yet to actually examine me !! the yearly physical is a joke!! every time i voice a health concern , he tries to refer me to some other doctor! he has never touched me other than a handshake. his greetings , weird pleasantries remind me of a forced , not funny tv skit!! i tried to talk to him/ his staff about the colon cancer blood test. i was told it was not accurate in my case , that i need another colonoscopy. i live alone, no relatives or friends here so no one to take responsibility for medical procedures. the next day i receive an email that a cologard home test kit is being sent to me!! when i called office , i am read back their notes from previous call, which made no sense! then i am told to just ignore the test! wasted money!! then i am told i can get a medical procedure with no one with me ,through my insurance ride program, which is wrong!! i have tried and tried!! i can get a taxi, Ubber , etc.,, on my own! the " nurse" , i use that term loosely argued that they do it all the time!! any facility doing medical procedures wants a person to be responsible for the patient!! it relieves them of responsibility in case of something going wrong after the procedure!! this "nurse would not accept this ", basically hung up on me when i tried to tell her that she is wrong!! false pleasantries, lack of knowledge, poor service and piss poor attitudes do not make a good "medical practice"!! read more

I have to Dr. Patrick Garrett's about 5 times. Not once did he examine me. He did not listen to my heart or lungs. All he did was shake my hand and ask me what can I do for you today and why are you here. I will not be going back. A doctor should do more than just shake your hand like listening to your chest looking down your throat checking your ears he does nothing but shake your hand and send you a bill. he may be a nice man, but his actions, tone, animated way of entering a room and speaking, it's not appropriate for the doctor patient setting. People are coming there with serious problems, and they are ill,upset or genuinely scared and he walks in like it's a children's birthday party. DR told me i would be on anxiety medicine. he didn't tell me what. i didn't get a chance to ask because i was literally sobbing. called the office next morning (12 hours later) and was told i have to pay $130 to ask any questions that I forgot during the appointment. I had my new patient visit with Dr. Patrick Garrett of Garrett Internal Medicine and my first opinion after just fifteen seconds was "bro, ease off those energy drinks a little" followed by "I'll have what he's having. In all seriousness I loved his positive vibe and energy, I must admit it was quite refreshing. His office staff from the time I walked in the door until I left were equally refreshing. They were genuinely happy and outwardly friendly. I felt at ease the moment I sat down after checking in. His assistant was just as friendly. The primary care physician I had for nearly two decades had taken another position about six weeks ago and I could no longer see him. I've been so stressed out trying to get a new doctor and wish that I had gone to see Dr. Garrett sooner. I can't even see how he is accepting new patients but I am grateful that he is. read more

Inattentive rushed doesn't review chart for past discussion needs new appointment for 2 issues that may be related especially steroids and medications with discussion and hospital info on record of adrenal issues causing severe reaction increase in pain and misdiagnosis then new appointment to question which medication of 5 in one month he prescribed would help . Assumptions of seeking drugs after explanation of 20 years drug free ssris when explained previous bad reaction then another muscle relaxer with ssri properties anyway not depressed until denied call back Waited 2 days for appointment on FaceTime to discuss injection for back pain that no one told me could cause a severe reaction only that it would reduce pain and that I could get off the gabapentin. I didn't wanna take until after I had a severe reaction so a different doctor and was told with high cortisol from adrenal problems that I had discussed with this Doctor Who never reviewed my chart even when the call was about medication's. He prescribed and knew they found a liver spot they say was benign so told me not to take Tylenol, so I was worried that any other meds that he had given me and that another doctor told me to take Tylenol for the severe pain from the reaction and that high cortisol levels from the adrenal issues and CPTSD most of my life on all my records I should never have been given a cortisteriod injection hey a person he referred me to who didn't look at the MRI that I had with End without contrast ordered by Dr Garrett doing new x-rays, and based on those x-rays decided that it was my piriformis muscle, not my sciatic nerve which I've had sciatic pain most of my life this time it was lasting longer than usual so I was told that wasn't what it was and given a shot in my piriformis muscle that caused an adrenal problem, severe reaction hormonal flare so if you ever get told you need steroids and you have PTSD or CPTSD demand cortisol level check first cause you don't wanna feel what the pain is like if your cortisol levels are already high and you get a cortisol steroid injection but I should've been aware of that and these were doctors. Apparently I could've if I wasn't in so much pain learned more than these doctors apparently take the time to research with new information and new research and warnings because none of them told me a thing or sent me home with any after quick care after that steroid injection using ultrasound and now it was never my pirifoemis muscle that's just the orthopedic clinics fast track to the next step because those injections also disintegrate the closest cartilage joint needing replacement specially in the over 60 population and lucky enough they have a surgery center for hip replacements right in the back in Daytona. it's a joke really especially being told first that my bulging disc that was finally determined by a real doctor is the problem, not my muscle and that I was doing all the wrong exercises getting all the wrong treatment thankfully, I only got one injection, so hopefully I'll keep my hip longer and stay away from doctors like this Be careful research. This place has the most incompetent staff. The front desk staff most likely don't even have their medical, licenses /certificates or any education in fact. They falsify records, cancel appointments for when they need to eat their donuts, or would like to go home due to such a harsh work environment. You can see the embarrassment on Garett's face with the stupidity that he has to deal with at his own office.. Nobody can come up with any solutions, just excuses and lost paperwork,they just run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Which was amusing at first, but come on ladies. Take some medical classes, or etiquette training....learning your job is the least you could do. The offices smells like a hot fart when you walk in, so brace yourself as you walk through the door. This office is disgusting. There are definitely some HIPAA violations and health codes violations that they need to take more seriously. (Yes,I have made reports) The Garrett's are not much better, he is to concerned about medical lingo and acting like a Disney character Than actually taking care of his patients. Dr Christine Garrett listens to her patients. She thinks about what her patients say. She is intelligent and she cares. She's at practice with her husband I have seen both Dr. Garrett's and respect them both. But prefer Christine. My husband said he reminds him of a friend of his. True. They treat everyone like friends. Their office staff is fine. The nurses are good. The only downside is the wait time. Be prepared to wait at least an hour. Based on the time Dr. Christine Garrett has been my PCP/Kelly as her Referral Coordinator, I have decided to move on. When I first met her, she seemed like such a kind and quirky individual, which I myself am, and I thought we would hit it off. However, during our first visit she barely skimmed over the information that I handed her, which I handed her, because I have a severe anxiety disorder and get flustered when talking and also, I did not want to forget any important information. She barely skimmed it and just talked about some things, not everything. She then you examined my back, could see I was in severe pain, and said she would find me a spine and pain specialist. I asked the office many times and even sent a letter in asking for this to be done and it wasn't and I had to take it upon myself to find one, which I did and it turned out I have a disc bulge and arthritis in the spinal joints, along with the already diagnosed Fibromyalgia. Also, she said she was skeptical about some of my diagnosis and wanted to retest me for some things to confirm them or see if they were something else, which I was all for, because I definitely want a doctor that cares about me and wants to do whatever they can to figure out what is wrong with me in order to help me with any issues. However, shortly after that she just decided that she didn't want to bother retesting anything and she said it would cost me a lot of money, however, I had the same insurance I had when I was first diagnosed with those certain things and it barely cost me anything, so it made it seem like she just didn't want to be bothered by doing her job by further checking things. During the most recent over WebCam appointment, I clearly stated that my medications were not working, and she just ignored that and did not further discuss it with me or give me any other options. her tone and facial expressions also seemed a bit sarcastic or as if she thought I was stupid or something, which someone with a severe anxiety disorder would find very off putting, along with anyone else,in general. Also, since last January, I have verbally spoken to the referral coordinator over the phone, via email, and it was included in a printed letter mailed to the kindly asking that she, please, find me a Psychiatrist for my diagnosed PTSD, anxiety disorder, chronic depression, along with one that can do a disability assessment, because an attorney said that this would be needed for me to even be considered for disability, because, though ,I have physical disabilities, who never makes a decision would find me too young. I explained this to her all many times. I kindly asked for this to be done, I gave a large range area wise for this to be found, even if hours away, and the referral coordinator has officially come off as lazy. There's no better word for it. She sent me all the way to a Psychiatry office in Daytona and when I looked at the paperwork, the very last page says they do not do disability assessments. I was an outgoing referral coordinator for a long time, so I know what the job entails and what needs to be done, and for sending anyone anywhere I would call to make sure they take the insurance and make sure they can assist the patient. If she had simply made that phone call, she would've learned that they do not do disability assessment and would not have wasted my time and gas or getting my hopes up. I kindly asked for her to assist me further and she just gave up and said that she couldn't. She barely tried. I find this comical that she had such a hard time, because when I went to my new primary care provider on November 23rd, the very next week a Psychiatrist that could help me with my diagnosed issues and....one that does disability assessment in Jacksonville Florida called to make an appointment. My doctor was Dr. Christine Garrett, but I saw her once virtually and once in person. After that I continually passed off to her husband because she was too busy even though I had a scheduled appointment. The final visit was the end for me. After waiting 2 and a half hours, I heard the other patients that were waiting complaining to the woman at the desk. Three of us had the same appointment time with the same doctor. One man was on a portable oxygen tank and when it was running low they told him to go home and get another. He did, and when he got back, we all still waited. Finally, they asked if I wanted to see Dr. Patrick Garrett. I agreed, even though it was my annual checkup. He blew off every concern I had as nothing, then kept asking if there was anything else. But he got stuck on the dosage of one of my medications, saying it was high. I have worked with many docto keep it as low as possible, including his wife, and could go no lower. I have tried, with bad results. He acted like he listened but when I got to the pharmacy, he had lowered it anyway. I had to change doctors after that. They want to rush a lot if people through, and do rounds at the hospital. I need a doctor who listens and takes time to address all my concerns. read more
