I'm giving it a 4 only because of nostalgia. Poor, sad little place is a shell of what she used to be and could still be. Try brightening the lights (maybe replace the bulbs and the 40 year old yellowed covers) and investing in a lick of paint...someone to clean the rest rooms properly. None of this is an expensive fix. Fill your bins with fresh produce like you used to have. Our grand children were excited to the advertised see baby gators.... They saw one lonely little baby gator. Whomever owns this place needs to care a little more, or find an investor who does. The Florida Citrus center is a staple to Florida tourism and is still in a good location. You have nice staff and fun little gifts. Not everyone likes the vibe of Buc-ee's (40 miles away). There is no reason to let this iconic shop go the way of the old Florida road stands. #shellfactoryvibes read more

Definitely a tourist stop/trap with all the trinkets. We stopped to pick up some oranges that were very pricey $20/8 lb bag but happy to report when we got home so far they have been firm and juicy. Picked up a couple jars of orange marmalade also but haven't tried yet. read more

I was driving from Jacksonville Airport to Jekyll Island and took the Florida citrus Center exit. I had seen billboards all along I-95 and just had to stop. I grabbed some snacks and as I was checking out, the lady behind the counter asked if I saw the baby alligators. I told her I had not and she said oh my goodness just wait and took me over to the baby alligator area of the store. There was a sign that mentioned that the baby alligators were humanely raised and and I genuinely feel like they seemed happy in their tank. There was a huge taxidermy alligator right next to them as well as every Florida souvenir, you could imagine from knock off Disney items to shop glasses to What will call shell art. And of course, oranges. I think this would be a fun stop for anyone who happens to be traveling and needs a little break and some snacks, it's one of those unique places that you just don't see anywhere else. read more

This place is awesome! Lexi and Lane were so helpful and personable, very kind staff! They also have the sweetest cats living outside there, ESPECIALLY the older cat named Tommy! I like to keep track of where I stop on my road trips and mark the places I like best on my maps so I can make them a part of my routes because when you're traveling, every bit of familiarity and hospitality really counts and makes the trips that much smoother and simpler. I always remember the convenient stores, gas stations, and rest stops that have well-fed, friendly animals living outside because that speaks to the good character, integrity, and kindness of the management, staff, clientele, and the neighborhood. This place had both well cared for cats outside and awesome staff inside, so I am looking forward to the next time I drive thru Yulee, FL so I can visit this store again! read more

stopped on Saturday 5/2/26 on my way to Richmond hill. Purchased 1/4 bushel of oranges. most were mouldy dried out or black inside. This is an awesome "Roadside Attraction" and somewhat of an oddity, I spent almost a hundred dollars here on gasoline for the F-150 then guzzled a few sample cups of ice cold orange juice from the sampling fountain. I didn't witness any actual squeezing of the oranges so whether it's freshly squeezed or from a jug of pasteurized it was delicious and refreshing. I always lower my expectations when stopping in at these kind of places so I am never disappointed - the key point indicator is the more signs posted along the highway its likely it's not anything more than an attraction so enjoy. Florida oranges are grown for squeezing not for peel and eat, so if the intention is to have a nice plump juicy citrus experience you'll definitely be disappointing it's not bait and switch, this is just the type of oranges grown here in Florida so after you leave here stop in at Publix and buy some plumb, juicy oranges shipped in from California they are so delicious and are reasonably priced. Gators, saltwater taffy, pecan logs, tee shirts and snow globe souvenirs should be a hint, the only thing missing here are giant statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. Twenty dollars for a mesh bag of thin skin semi-dry Florida oranges lol I guess there's a sucker born everyday and these guys have found their niche. If you're gonna turns the kids out be prepared to break out your wallet, this ain't no farmer's market it's more of a Stuckey's on steroids and may be your last opportunity to bring back something for the kinfolk from your Florida vacation... read more

What an incredible experience! If you're on 95 you have to stop here. If you haven't seen the ~46,000 billboards along the way, they have an awesome gator exhibit with lots of taxidermic gator products and shark teeth. They also have free orange juice samples amount other quirky tourist gags. I don't understand all the bad reviews- almost didn't come here because of them. I'm not sure what everyone's expecting... maybe an aquarium full of alligators and a citrus farm full of oranges. Its not that, but its a great place to stretch your legs, even if you've only been driving for a short time. read more
