Luxe Picnics by Les is such a cute and aesthetic shop. What they're known for is their charcuterie…read moreboards, and they're phenomenal. Everything is incredibly fresh, each box is fully customizable, and they're designed beautifully right on the spot. Their sandwiches are also to die for- hands down the best in town and easily my favorite. I've had almost all of them and still can't decide which one is my favorite. The shop itself is always spotless, and everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and happy to accommodate different dietary needs. They also always have specials and new menu items that change with the seasons, which makes every visit feel exciting and unique. There's even a little market in the front that sells dry goods, which is such a fun touch. It's truly one of those places you can't help but keep coming back to!

We had: the Figgy Piggy", which is on a fresh, toasted baguette, contains deli-grade prosciutto, garlic olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, goat cheese. greens and more. We also had a "Piggy Pear", of similar construction, but instead substitutes tender ham, date & pear preserves. It was delicious, very tasty, warm and so plentiful that we each took half of ours home. The regular price is a very reasonable $11. Most people will not walk away hungry after one of these. They have a whole selection of sandwiches, croissant and waffle-based concoctions, drinks, including coffees. It appears that their biggest feature is picnic baskets, consisting of a wide array of goodies ranging from $18-59 (for four people). They also do catering, so we left with a menu and business card. The owners have caterers for many years and jokingly (?) said they had to open this place to keep their daughter in Boston College. One thing we have noticed living and traveling to many places is that most areas have a fairly small percentage of good and reasonably priced restaurants. This one made it to our list.

Wonderful experience. First of all the setting is charming. We were seated upstairs. Pleasant…read moreartwork on the walls, tables are not close together, soft music playing and, comfortable chairs. The 4 of us could actually carry on a conversation without shouting. Our server Kaylee was engaging and well informed about the menu items and the wine list. When my friend was unsure of which of two wines to choose, she offered a sample of each. Nice touch. We split the Burrata and Fig appetizer and it was delicious. Our friends chose the Polpetta con Polenta and it was equally as delicious. The wines by the glass were fairly priced and there were plenty of choices. My main was the Braised Beef Short Rib over mushroom ravioli. Big portion and incredible flavors. My wife had the Gnocchi al Pesto and was also very pleased. Like the wine, the entrees were fairly priced. We split a piece of the Limoncello cake which was light and flavorful. The chef here doesn't have an Italian last name but sure the heck knows what he is doing in the kitchen. Absolutely no complaints.

First time here at Cucina South and it has that relaxed ambiance for some really good Italian food…read moreand ordered a Peroni Lager beer with garlic bread and olives for the Antipasti. Main course was the Polpetta meatball specialty with the creamy sauce and the Linguine and Clams and they were all very tasty. I just added a bit of cheese and pepper to add more flavor to my liking. The Tiramisu for dessert was quite delicious and we are glad to try it. Thank you Brittany, our awesome server for being so hospitable during our visit and to the rest of the staff for accomodating us as we did not even have a reservation.
