He wrote the appraisal, without charge, which enabled me to get my money back. I have purchased both silver bouillon and fine jewelry from them and was given exceptional prices (below expectation) on every occasion. (Only once did I feel that I overpaid on a verbal quote on an antique jewelry repair, but I elected to drop it off when the actual jeweler was absent.) Because they are a small group, they are always swamped, so I go there with patience, knowing that the personal service I receive depends upon my understanding that many other demands (other than customer 'selling' service) are placed upon them. This is not just a 'retail' store set up to sell you an item and rush you out the door! - These are experts with endless "behind the scenes" responsibilities. Each person has their own specialty, and they are professionals who do not feign being 'social'. They are genuine. Relax and browse while you wait! The atmosphere transports you to a former era. I find myself never wanting to leave! I could linger and browse for hours! - This shop has everything you could imagine! - They handle estate sales, so you can find almost anything you can imagine that is of vintage, antique, or collectible quality. They do not accept checks, and bringing cash may often provide an 'unspoken' discount. The only complaint that I have at all is that their hours on the website are not accurate. Since I cannot seem to remember the days and hours that they are open, I always need to call to confirm before I go. This is the type of shop where repeat customers are remembered and cherished. If it is your first visit and you arrive at a time when they are busy and stressed, do not take it personally; they are just human and all very wonderful people!
