Example: I scheduled a tele-heath session with my physician and the office staff as well as their answering service told me I should be receiving a link to the telehealth session close to the scheduled time. No link was sent whatsoever. Of course, I missed the actual phone call from the physician. To this day, I'm still puzzled by what the actual process is to do a telehealth session. I haven't had a primary care physician in years, I thought I was in good shape, but because of an upcoming cataract procedure I needed a release form. I've always trusted Baptist Health and I got an immediate appointment....which should have been the first indication that something was wrong. I was also admitted almost immediately when I arrived....another indication that something is wrong with physicians in Deerfield Beach. If a doctor is good, you have to wait to get in. She seemed kind and competent during the exam, listened and nodded. Forgot to tell me they needed to take blood so I'd eaten. So had to make a second appointment to come back for the lab work. Then nothing. I had given them my forms to fill out for the procedure, but my ophthalmologist never got them, so they had to call to get the forms faxes. Strike 2. Never got my lab results, no follow up, I finally called and was told the doctor was on vacation. Never heard back. While I was on the phone, the stuttering PA read a bunch of gibberish to me that made no sense. I was still very nervous about the a-fib episodes I'd had that I told "the doctor" about. So I booked an appointment with Twin Lakes Heart Center in Boca (that's for another review, but let me say here that Dr. Andrea McGone is THE BEST) to find out what was going on. That was the only good thing that came out of this episode in my life...to go somewhere else to get good treatment. I hoped this helps you save time and misery...she billed over $800 to my insurance company, but I'm not sure she even bothered to look at the results of the lab work she ordered.

He would be sure to stop in on my mom during hospitalizations sometimes 2 or more times in a day. It is now 2 years later and unfortunately my 91 year old father is now facing medical issues. I accompanied my father there on a recent appointment. Dr. Alley has a super staff. The nurse Alaina & Gaelle, who I believe is an assistant know my dad by name and could not be more friendly or kind. Alaina, is very professional and so respectful of my dad. Dr. Alley makes my father (and me) feel like he is the only patient in the office. He explains medical information in "patient-friendly" language. So are patients sometimes waiting an inordinate amount of time for their appointment? The answer is yes. Should that affect the 5 star rating I've given Dr Alley and his staff? Absolutely Not! Before Dr. Alley treated my mother, I was was one of the many "unhappy patients" when a doctor or dentist made me wait a lengthy amount of time in the waiting area. But after the amount of time he doles out in treating his patients, I will never make that complaint again. So if you are in that office waiting, please don't take it out on Linda, the receptionist. Just know you are in the best hands of the best physician and staff, ever!

He has been my father's cardiologist for the past couple of months and we are beyond pleased with him. He is very through with all of his patients and spends a great deal of time explaining, listening, and being present with his patients. I didn't realize doctors like him existed anymore! At the end of each visit with my dad, he makes sure we understand the plan of care and we are in agreement. His office staff are very pleasant and a good representation of the practice he runs. I would highly recommend Dr Sheikh for any of your cardiology needs.

I made a the blood test this week. 3 days later, they called us to say that the 3 blood tests are inconclusive. This is not possible to have 3 inconclusive blood tests, I talked with the manager who said that QUEST made the mistake. After a few minutes, I asked a refund and she said finally that only one blood test is to redo. How can they say different stories in 5min. I asked a proof that QUEST made the mistake,with an email. I waited all day and they did not send the email, they did not make any phone call or voice message and did not make any refund. Their email on their website also does not work. However, someone at the intake desk scanned my insurance information wrong and as a result, I had to waste half an hour with someone in India reading from a canned script trying to correct the problem. Now, I understand call centers, but having a call center for your billing issues, especially when it is a problem on the institute's end for scanning the wrong insurance information, is about as unpleasant as getting your boobs squished in a cold machine to see if you have breast cancer. Please, Baptist, DO BETTER with your billing!

I was told the nurse cancelled it, and then i was told i cancelled it then i was told the office called to cancel which was not true. Never received a call. My doctors office manager tried to fit me in. There was nothing available. I got an appointment for January. The best she could do. The second d problem was with my Wife. She had called because her primary doctor shut down her practice without notice. She contacted Baptist primary to see if she could see my primary. She was on the phone for. a half hour. She was told my primary was accepting new patients . When. we got to the office she was told that they called us to tell us that the doctor was not seeing new patients. Absolutely no coordination. They then gave me a list of Primary doctors a. accepting new patients. On the list was my Primary who I had used for years. before he passed away. plus my current primary who we were told is not seeing new patients. There definitely a problem.
