Being able to pilot a plane is one of those things that I have always wanted to do but never would have done for myself for whatever reason. We made the trek down to Homestead General Aviation Airport and signed up in about 10 minutes. We got into a Skyhawk and after taxiing (yes, it's spelled that way) using only our feet, we lined up for take off. Speeding down the runway I started to get a bit nervous 'cause the plane is angled a bit up, you can't really see ahead of you. You get the aircraft to a certain speed and pull back and before you know it you've lifted off and you are above the beautiful Everglades. We banked to the left and headed down to the keys over the Gulf of Florida. We neared Key Largo before heading back making sure to avoid HAB and being escorted by some F-22s. Our flight instructor was young which at first was a bit concerning but while we were at 1800 feet (should have gone over this while on the ground) that he has been flying for well over half his life and comes from a family of aviators. Nice guy treated us to some zero gravity flying. That's right. We got to feel the effects of zero gravity for a short amount of time and trust me, it's awesome! I can not wait to do this again. They will talk sweet first ,call you to school and then make you run after them for every small thing. There is no accountability of what the instructor teaches you in the flight because as per the owners it's always the student's fault. Owners(YOGINI MODI AND BRYAN SHELTON) would never want to find a solution to your problem, moreover they concentrate on picking out your mistakes . Everyone goes to a school to learn ,but sadly Yogini and Bryan do not understand this. They have a habit of stalking people's social media profile and then calling up people's parents so that the child is under pressure. Yogini finds a reason to blame the student ,in my case she blamed me that I am stressed about the flight slots. So who's fault is it if a student isn't getting slots to fly? Someone has to be stressed ,either the instructor or the student. The owner claims that the reason for opening a flight school is that they wanted to give good quality training to people which is such a bullshit. They opened it so that they can just milk money out of everyone . Moreover YOGINI discusses one student's training with another student.Is this professional ? I don't think so. The instructors are highly incompetent,the only thing they do is to demotivate you and make you feel stupid. I guess they forget that they are PAID to teach and not to sit on the right side and build hours and money . A student goes to a school to learn and the instructors and the school is supposed to motivate the students to achieve what they dream of , but Yogini modi (PTC homestead)makes sure that you become low in confidence and get demoralized . In short if you ever go to PTC HOMESTEAD,you should be ready to get your money ,mental peace and confidence ripped off completely!
