Store is huge with an amazing inventory of outdoor clothing and accessories. You can pick up Keys-theme souveniers and some salt water taffy! There is a giant fish tank and in the center of the store you will find a replica of Ernest Hemingways's boat Pilar. You can climb up and enjoy a bit of Hemingways's history. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They will provide you with great gear recommendations. Store is organized and great for browsing even if you don't buy anything. However prices are great and reasonable so most likely you will not leave empty handed. You get beautiful view of the marina so definitely worth visiting!

There was an older woman in the group who could not keep up and only after I expressed my concern about her did they double back and help her. No kayaking instruction, no nature instruction other than what not to touch under the mangroves. The guide played music and paddled away over and over at a rate that left the novice paddlers far behind. Consider checking skill levels of the group, stopping for regular check-ins, perhaps teaching about nature a bit?

While preparing for an early morning fishing trip I realized that one of the batteries in the bank had died. I went ahead and ordered the battery from a local auto parts store only to arrive there and find that they had ordered the wrong one. Feeling rather desperate as everything was closing I called West Marine and spoke to Will. Not only did they have the battery I needed in stock, they kept the store open an extra 30-minutes in order for me to be able to make it over in traffic and purchase a battery, saving my fishing trip. If nothing else that alone deserves five stars in my book. Be warned that the shopping center where this west marine is located is pretty sketch. But the store itself is clean very well organized and well stocked. From electronics to fishing gear to clothing, it's all there. Overall could not be more pleased with my experience today than I am.

Some things are comparable in price. I came here recently because I needed some boots for my kids for snow. I knew I could get some online but I wanted them to try it on. They have a nice selection of boots and I had them try some on. Ended up getting them each boots again the price was pretty even to the online selection. They also have all sorts of ski equipment as well as thermals and clothes. The service is also outstanding. When I walked in I was instantly greeted and someone was quickly there to help me select shoes. My only complaint was that they had a lot of sizes out of stock. But if they are it in Miami I get why they don't have a lot of stock.
