I have had Florida Power House maintain my generator for a few years. It was a complete waste of money. When they failed to inspect the generator properly and keep my 80 KW Generac working. When I asked them to install a monitor, they finally did after a couple of months. it was installed improperly, and they did not stand behind the 1-year warranty. The don't respond to calls, emails, or even attempts to purchase from them. You should question the validity of any positive review. read more

Florida Power House installed our generator a few months ago and they just came back to perform maintenance. The installation did take long as others have mentioned, but Jonathan answered all my questions and concerns throughout the process. My generator ran smoothly when the power went out. I contracted this company to fix a generator at my home in Aug of 2019, only to find out after paying them, did they tell me that they could not get the correct parts, and left a running generator in a "no run" status for a month and a half. After that, Guillermo recommended replacing the unit. Late 2019, a contract for a replacement was signed, and replacement began without a valid permit I might add. FPH never applied for the permit. They had asked me to re-sign the paperwork for the permit after paying an initial fee of $325. In 2022 I find a Lean placed against my home. When it came time for the inspection, FPH flunked it on three different occasions, and left my back yard torn up and a mess and stated that they were not responsible for it. In fact, Just to get this finally resolved this had to be address by the Florida Department of Professional Regulatory Board. That was served to FPH in late 2022. The permit was finally closed the first week of February 2023. What say you Guillermo, answer if you dare. read more

These company is extremely dishonest to say at least. My generator needed 2 fuses ($10.00 each) but this company's "technician" told me that my generator "No Good and I need to buy new one". The cost of new one they quoted $29,000.00. I called other company and their service call cost me $100.00 + $20.00 for fuses. Generator works as new after new fuses were installed. read more

Horrible, incompetent and dishonest. We gave them a huge deposit for a home generator 8 months ago. From the outset, after promptly cashing our check, they didn't communicate or respond to simple questions. We understood lead times would be extended because of supply chain issues. When they did finally engage with us, the information they provided us was inaccurate, inconsistent, and misleading. After losing confidence in their ability to execute our project correctly, we noticed them on September 21 of our desire to cancel our contract. They have ordered no equipment and have incurred only a few hours on our project. They suddenly produced drawings (which were riddled with problems) and won't refund our deposit. We placed an order for a generator controller, controller touchscreen, and fuel tank level monitor on 7/2/21. They said they ordered. Then they said they had it. Then they said they thought they had it but made a mistake on the order. Two months later they still couldn't find it nor provided any communication on delivery. During the whole experience customer service was not good, unresponsive and had no solutions. We went ahead and found the parts ourselves online and received them in 3 days. The payment was made in July. It is now October and they have yet to refund. They said they would refund and mail a check. I asked on the phone the amount of the check and the reply was "I can't see on my end the amount".Right! They send half of the amount. 4 months later I am still trying to get my money back. Customer customer sucks! Its been almost 2 years and still no working generator. My bad has now spend 25,000 dollars and nobody will return phones calls for explanation to why. My dad is older and don't understand emails etc. so I've been trying to help resolve this issue. Its been permits after permits. i strongly recommend you do not work with this company to service your generator. i hired them for an annual inspection and provide warranty service on a 10 year old generator that was working fine and their technician failed to complete the service and caused additional problems that resulted in me replacing my entire generator for $17,000. they charged me for the visit in which the unit was destroyed and continued to say my unit is no good and needed replacement despite the fact that it worked fine. the technician mentioned that they did not usually work on kohler units but still worked on mine. buyer beware! find another provider and be very careful. their ratings speak for themselves. read more

I honestly do not even want to give them a 1 star, I signed a contract at the beginning of March 2021 (75%), as of today (11/1/2021) I have nothing to show for it. I have called them 17 times and not one person has ever called me back. I found out that in September they ordered my generator from Generac and if will not be delivered to FPH until January 2022. I can not figure out why they did not place the order in March when I gave them 75% of the total bill. Generac corporate has been notified and at this point FPH has my money collecting interest all these months - the only thing they have purchased with my money is a permit for $149.66-which they sent me a bill for. I had a generator installed by them in 2020 and the job is still not completely finished or I believe, inspected by the city. They never answer the phone. It's always a recording and they have yet to get back to me. I would definitely use another company if you are looking for a generator. read more

If I can give this company a 0 star, I would. Reading through all the negative reviews, I can state that I am on the same boat with you all. When selling us the generator, they promised to have it installed before the summer for hurricane season and gave an excellent sales pitch. We provided a deposit back on January 14, 2021. Provided all requested documentation in the month of February. May: We were still waiting for installation date. They scheduled a gentleman for gas isometric and never showed up. Told us that he confused his route. Second scheduling was canceled because the foreman ended up with a gas emergency in Monroe County when I lived in Miami Dade. He finally made it out May 12. Same day, we find out that the draftsman is still working on the paperwork to submit for permitting. The gentlemen we were in communication with states that they are "aiming to have the installation done before hurricane season." We requested to know if the generator had already been ordered. Come to find out that it has not even made it to their warehouse. Write back to the gentleman on the 26th requesting status since now my husband and I are getting concerned that June is right around the corner and hurricane season starts then. I have yet to receive an installation date. June 1: request for cancellation of contract. Send a signed cancellation letter on the 3rd as requested which was then forwarded to an office manager by the name of Teresa. During this communication, they come to tell us that they are still missing the elevation certificate which was sent to them back in February. So now we're in June, still requesting for documents proving that they are not done with permitting. July: Still communicating with Teresa regarding my cancellation and refund of money I have already paid. I have Synchrony Bank harassing me for continued payments for a job that has not been completed and cancelled. (Please note that they have already been paid by the bank their contract amount) August till Present (Jan. 24, 2022): My husband has gone from communicating with Teresa to a lady by the name of Magaly. We are still waiting for this situation to be resolved. First, she said that she will provide us with assistance on closing out the account with synchrony bank and work on a refund. Then she jumps to an excuse about it being a small company with only herself and her husband and that they are extremely backed up. (Looks like you took more work than you could handle) My husband has attempted to communicate with them via phone to no availability. There is no one there to pick up the phone, it goes straight to voicemail, and no one ever calls back. If he gets lucky to get a live person there, they provide the message and there is never a returned call. They end up just emailing back giving him a run around without any resolution. Throughout all this time, we had to go and buy a portable generator that summer in case a hurricane came because this company couldn't even do their job. We ended up selling our property back in September and moved out of state. Throughout this time frame, Magaly told us that there will be no refund and to provide the new owner's information so they can drop this load on them so that they do not have to call synchrony bank and return the money that they already pocketed. Florida Power House can go ahead and reply to this if they want but everything stated above, we have in emails. We never wanted to write this review and were hoping to have this amicably resolved but this has take more than a year to get fixed. read more

Florida Power House is a 5 star company. The entire process was hands down as easy as it gets. From the first person who sold me the generator Jorge, to the final installation, Maria Paz, and everyone in between, customer service was by far the best I've ever had. I am as ready as I will ever be for a hurricane, and here in Miami unfortunately its not a matter of if, but when, but I am soooo happy I made the decision of installing a standby generator, and even happier that it was done by Florida Power House. just had this company come and install a generator and they claimed they knew what they were doing when they did not. They completely botched the job, taking two weeks to do what we were told would take 3 days, not doing the installation properly and then lying and trying to cover up what was very poorly done. We now have to hire someone else to redo the installation since the current state of what was done is unsafe. The two men they did this very poor job are not ethical and I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Signed a contract in MAY 2020 and now its May 2021 no GENERATOR but they keep collecting my money. Now its getting more interesting ....Can't refinance my home because they put a Lean on my property stating work has commenced on my home. Nothing has begun at my home, it was surveyed, they spray painted location where generator will live but no work has begun. I've been trying to get this settled so I can move on with closing but can't get anyone to respond - It's starting to feel criminal. I contracted with Florida Powerhouse and gave a deposit back in May 2020 for a home generator installation. There has been no progress on the installation. They estimated completion by September. I have been given numerous stories about the delay, with the most recent that there is a backlog on generators. Most disappointing is there has been no outreach by them to me unless I contact them to find out what is happening. Really sad customer service. Rick read more

I am very pleased with my generator and the installation process. I was aware, from the beginning, that the timeliest part of the process would be obtaining the permit and getting the plans drawn up my the engineering department. Once the actual installation began, the process went smoothly and quickly. The only delays were inclement weather, which is to be expected in South Florida. read more

They are incompetent, never answer a phone or get back. We signed a contract for them to sell us a Kohler generator and install it in July 2018. They sent an engineer to measure for a slab and he did so incorrectly and put in a slab too small. We tried contacting them many times and finally someone was sent out about 6 months ago to make it larger. We wanted to end the contract since it was a year and nothing working yet.Florida Power said NO. They demanded we pay even more money so they would come back and continue the install. We ended up paying $57K and when the Inspector came last week- 2 years after FPH started the project, He laughed and became angry. He said the work was shoddy and poor. There were electrical problems and The Transfer Switch had WATER in it. Water came in bc. of the holes they drilled to put the wiring into the box. Someone could get electrocuted. I tried calling to speak to one of the owners. Let messages NO call back. Emailed- No reply. Stay away. read more

To be fair to FPH I am updating my review. My permit was issued and I actually spoke to someone in installation. They made an appointment quite rapidly and showed up on time to drop the generator and start digging tunnels. I gave one more star to them. It is still low because I had to do something painful to get them to finally call me the first time and I am now back to not getting responses. read more
