Of course, on the back pages you'll find lots of ads for "outcall masseuses" and phone sex lines, but it still has some interesting content. Steve Schneider is sometimes brilliant, Billy Manes is everyones favorite gay scenester, and Happytown and Council Watch can be a fascinating read. Be sure to take the restaurant reviews with a grain of salt, though; although well written, they tend to praise their advertisers. How can you complain, its published every Thursday and its FREE!

The content is really kind of "one track mind", and customer relations and community feedback are ignored often, but if you want to know the best place in town for a beer, burger, or vegan hot dog.... this is the paper to read. Also, know the latest "best friends" in the local music and art scenes by reading the "best of " mentions or local reviews. Just don't forget that it's operating on mostly a buddy system and many fantastic artists in Orlando are often just not credited. Ear and eyes open for the under dogs! ;-) It's an alright ALTERNATIVE paper.

Some may say it's similar to Orlando Style, but I assure you there is a difference between the two. While Orlando Style is geared more toward the young, fashion forward and well-known people and events throughout Central Florida,Orang Appeal is a bit more upscale in nature and focus on more than just what is going on in the surrounding area. Their first edition came out a few a months ago and, for a new magazine, seems like it's well written and organized. Like most publications, there is an overall theme usually highlighting a person or persons for a reason related to the theme. A large portion of the magazine is filled with advertisements and little blurbs about various places and happenings in the area. I've also noticed that this magazine seems to be somewhat geared toward women who are in their late twenties and beyond focusing on topics that are more grown up in nature. Being a Yelper, it's no surprise that my favorite part about this magazine is that it highlights the trendy and fun places around town including clothing boutiques, restaurants and home decor shops. Not only does it let you know where they are located, but a brief exerpt is written on each one. Most of the businesses mentioned are locally owned and operated. Overall, I'm a fan!

If there are no pictures and just words it's very likely that my attention span will be very short and once something shiny crosses my path it's over. Now don't get me wrong, I love to read, but having pictures or something visually appealing is also a necessity...which is why I'm a fan my latest discovery, Orlando Style Magazine. This local publication is very visually appealing and has a lot to offer. The cover of this magazine is usually graced by a local celebrity or a gorgeous model wearing something a tad racy but somehow classy at the same time. Inside you'll find stories, news and information on all things central Florida. Aside from the typical advertisements, you'll find lots of pictures of people at events that have happened in and around town. Some of the people in the pictures are well known locally such as socialites, the governor and radio personalities while others are simply those who were lucky enough to attend the event. Considering the title has the word style in it, it's no surprise that this magazine does showcase current as well as up and coming fashion and trends not only in regards to apparel but also hobbies, nightlife and food. This is a good source for keeping in the know what's going on in the area as well as where everyone is hanging out and where you can find the latest hot fashion picks. The articles are also interesting in most issues. While they're not the best I've ever read, they can be entertaining and informative. Overall, I say find a copy and check it out!

A go-to magazine for the "see and be seen" photos. Somehow, they get to all of the local events. The photography is fantastic -- very high end. And love the variety of local columnists. Also a great restaurant guide in the back of the magazine. I think they do a great job at keeping the magazine fresh, too. Always eager to open it up when I see it come through in the mail...

The building is just gorgeous! I'm very curious to know what's going in there though. Offices? Condos? If it's condos, then hubby and I are going to seriously go check them out because we now live only about 7 minutes from this building and we're paying way too much in rent. oh majesty building... my sweet babe. my sister took me by here for my birthday last week. everyone…read moreknows how much i love it HAHA. it's become a bit of a running joke, but i get tons of texts and snapchats of photos of this building from my people now that i live across the country. the best part of this building is how it is a shining beacon of a gps marker. sometimes your google maps starts failing, but ms. majesty will never let you down. you know it's time to exit for the altamonte mall, or that you aren't too far from downtown orlando when you drive by her! you could also find a good spot to sit and probably get a good tan at the right time of day. the glare from her gorgeous windows is blindingly beautiful. emphasis on the blind part. and finally, this is a promise of jobs for the great people of central florida. a very empty promise, but it's there... i-4 eye sore? sticks and stones, people. she will always be the one i(4) adore.
