But even without AC, once the sun went down, it cooled down enough to sleep in the evening, and wake up in the middle of the night to watch the sky from the star-gazing field a short walk from our site. The best part was probably the 4 camp kittens. They were very friendly and funny, and will be for sure going back later in the year, when it is a little bit cooler, to see how they kittens are growing.

The folks who work at the campground; Charleen, Kelly & Rudy were just the most welcoming & warm people we've come across in a while. Check in/out was super easy, firewood that you purchase is delivered right to your cabin. Theres a shop with lots of things if you forgot anything & really pretty reasonably priced. Plus there's dvds you can just check in or out for free. Theres an adorable patio off the main building where we had a blast playing battleship and shuffleboard. We also ordered food. I'm from Pennsylvania and a good cheesesteak is far and few between it seems down south.. this place has the best cheesesteak I've had in years. It was hot, greasy & packed with flavor. Food was 10/10. Also; the bathrooms were surprisingly clean & it was a rainy day/night. Hiking trails are a 5 minute drive. Theres a dog park at the campground, that was awesome. The only semi negative thing I could say is the cabins are pretty close to each other so there's not a ton of privacy. If you're looking for an intimate camping experience, that also feels really safe, this is the perfect place. We will definitely back and I do HIGHLY recommend! Plenty of room to walk our little dog and they have a lovely little office dog that greets everyone. We really like the quietness of the park, as it's close to a state park and military base so there's no commotion but is within a quick 13-minute drive to all the shops we would need.

I have dropped people off here before, but have never used this airport…read more I am traveling with Breeze Airways, and I have to tell you that it was a breeze going through check-in and security. I got in line, used the QR code to check in, waited about 15 minutes, as the line moved along with deliberate speed. Got to the counter, showed my Real ID driver's license, she made a joke, and we both laughed. Even though everything is electronic, she printed a paper copy of my boarding pass. Walked through the airport a bit, and passed up the huge row of rocking chairs (maybe about 60 of them) in the middle of the breezeway. Nice! Got to the TSA and did not have to take my shoes off! Finally, got back to sanity! Put my stuff in the huge bin, walked through the scanner. The guard had to check my wrists and arms, because I have a Dot.com bracelet on for my Instagram, so it probably set off a light or two. Easy peasy, got my stuff and headed to my gate for a seat. I have to say that was the fastest I have ever gotten through an airport from being dropped off. The whole process took about 35 minutes! Wow!

Highly recommend a Day trip to Cumberland Island, what a…read morebeautiful and magical place! The trip is awesome, you need to book the ferry in advance and there is a 15 dollars fee to enter the park, which you have to pay when picking up your ferry tickets, so be aware of if. The ferry ride was pleasant and not too long, about 40 mins, you need to pack and bring all your necessities with you to the island, so be mindful of your needs and prepare in advance. Once on the island there are multiple trails and the wild horses are everywhere in the Dungeness area. The beach is absolutely amazing, but note that in the summer time is not recommend to hike from Dungeness to Seacamp beach using the beach side itself, due to heat. Rather you should hike using the main road, which gives you plenty of viewing opportunities with the horses. Park rangers do a wonderful job stopping by and checking on visitors, offering rides and helpful direction, kudos to them. It's a wonderful day trip, plan accordingly and enjoy!

The resort sits on 1350 acres and they have a mini shuttle bus to take you around the resort if you choose not to walk. Beautiful grounds and easy to navigate this huge complex. Definitely take a drive to the historical downtown Amelia Island to walk around and browse the shops and restaurants. So much to do, and so much fun. Truly a great vacation destination and resort, highly recommend!

Tl;dr The Omni charged me an extra $53 for parking despite having credit on my hotel stay…read more I purchased a package for a weekend stay at the Omni that included a $100 room charge credit. When I checked in, I asked to confirm if daily parking rates would be covered by that rate. The front desk people told me that it would. Cut to the end of the weekend, when I checked out I was told I still had $90 of credit on my reservation. I inquired about the parking and they said I had no parking charge on my room and they would talk to the manager to try to get this situation resolved. Check my credit card statement - I'm charged an additional $53.50 fee for parking outside of my original purchased packaged. And not credited for the remainder of the room credit. I was never contacted. I called twice and was directed to a voicemail both times, left messages. I still have this extra charge for parking and I am annoyed that I was told one thing and charged another. I will not be staying at another Omni resort after this.

The ferry is basic, nothing fancy. On the way there, I rode up top, very windy and a little cool, but fine views (you face inward on top, toward the other row of passengers). On the way back, I rode on the second deck outside, less windy, views comparable, but you didn't have to look around like on top. You were already facing out toward the water. There is also an inside with booths/tables/benches and a food/drink bar. The staff here were so personable and fun. And very professional. They've been doing this a very long time. I felt safe while also having a great time. You have no other choice but to choose this ferry if you're wanting to go to Cumberland Island, but I'm totally okay with that.

We have never been to St Mary's Ga, and never have been on a train before. Super pumped!!! We live an hour away. Got there @ 1:50 for our 2 o'clock ride... couldn't find where to park or pick up our tickets we ordered online! Started to freak out bc 10 mins prior of train leaving!!! We had to ask the tent venders beside the building where to go! We get in the dark building where consignment items everywhere! That doesn't bother me but we got lost,didn't know what the venders meant. But all the way up the steps inside the building was this lady in a dark area where we got our tickets. We get on the train which is open cart, now we can relax. We left right on time! The host of the whole train talked and talked and talked. Pirates looked cool, they board the train to slay the zombies. On the way to kill the zombies we listened to old and new music some good some bad. All "G" rated. Defiantly thankful to not listen to someone talk the whole time! Haha pirates walked around talking to kids. Passed out coins and stickers. After a 30min ride we stop at the "zombies section". The pirates got off to fight the zombies. One of the stunt guns broke which kinda messed the script up. They pushed threw haha. By the way...They aren't actors, they are all volunteers so thankful for their time! The pirates for our trip didn't slay the zombies. So we left one pirate to fight them off himself ((fix the gun problem)) lol We took off for our train ride again and we are now going back the way we just came. Only cool view is going over Burrell Creek I assume ((photo attached)). So we saw the same view twice. Which was behind homes and some businesses. I am making this review to let you know what to expect. They aren't paid actors. They are local residents of St Mary's volunteers. No crazy landscape to look at or landmarks while on train. We were facing the right side (if you look at train not on it). Us personally won't be going again. Again we live an hour away... after train ride there isn't much to do in city after that. Unless you love antique shopping!!! I have 2 young kids that break things lol so we drove to park a mile down towards the water. It killed time while we were figuring what else to do.
