You should seriously think twice about booking a hog hunt! There is nothing authentic about the…read moreexperience. You will go through 45 minutes of preparation getting a safety talk, signing documents, talking about gun safety. The safety stuff is fine, but he talks a lot about big hogs vs. small hogs and needing to pay extra if you shoot a big hog. He talks about the possibility of infected meat, which I will get to later... You will then drive a really crappy side by side with no windshield 50 yards around the corner to a fenced dirt field 1/4 the size of a football field with 50 hogs in it, a couple of small muddy ponds, and 10 trees. The guide basically herds the hogs into a spot where they are up against a corner spot in the fence and don't know where to run to, so stop. The guide waits until you have a shot at a small hog where the chance of hitting a big hog is low and then tells you to take the shot at about 50 yards. Half the time, they decide to run away before the guide identifies a hog to kill, so you will do this 5-10 times. The rental guns are really crummy with really crummy bipods and really crummy scopes and you will have to shoot from the side-by-side with no real place to rest it except for the uneven side by side dashboard. The hogs themselves are often have major staff and other bacterial infections. They cut each other up since the tusks are kept on the males and they are kept in such close quarters. The guide warns you in the beginning that the hogs could have portions of meat that can't be eaten due to infections. In my case, the entire hog was covered with infections and the two tenderloins were the only edible portions. In retrospect, I think about his warning about infection and realize that this is super common. The owner and guide is a relatively nice guy, but you can see in his face that he knows he is selling a false experience and that you will be disappointed that this is not really hunting and that the meat is often infected and inedible. You are basically paying to get the photo that you see everyone post. People seem to give the alligator stuff good reviews, but consider this fair warning that the hog hunting is super lame. Buyer beware!

Absolutely the best hog hunting I've done in Florida. Our…read moreguides were professional, friendly, safety conscious, and a blast the whole hunt. I'm looking forward to our next hunt already! About our hunt: Three hunters, three guns, fully guided, fully skinned and prepped meat. The guys were a pleasure to talk to, and very knowledgeable.

CREW is the acronym for the sixty thousand acre Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed. The CREW…read moreLand & Water Trust was established in 1989 as a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to purchase land, manage it, and offer public outreach. The CREW project includes parts of southern Lee and northern Collier Counties in southwest Florida. The Corkscrew Marsh, Bird Rookery Swamp, Flint Pen Strand, Camp Keais Strand, and the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary are all CREW lands. Fifty-five thousand acres of CREW land is in preservation and it provides flood protection, water filtration and important aquifer recharge. They would like to purchase even more land in order to preserve natural resources such as water and to offer protection for wildlife. I have been fortunate enough to explore several of the CREW properties and each is a treasure of native plants and animals and unspoiled wilderness. The CREW Cypress Dome Trails is also known as Gate 5. A cypress dome is a swamp that has mainly pond cypress and bald cypress trees. Tall trees are at the center with smaller trees at the edge which creates a dome effect. The moist environment is also ideal for other plants, shrubs, and trees. The dome removes carbon emissions and stores water, recharges the aquifer, and provides drinking water. In the dome you can expect to find flatwoods salamanders, white ibis, and wood storks. Be aware that black bears and panthers also live here. There are six miles of loop trails that traverse through pine flatwoods, oak hammocks, wet prairie, popash slough, and two cypress domes. Trails are flat grass and sand. The trail connects to the Caracara Prairie Preserve which is owned and maintained by Conservation Collier. A $3 cash donation is suggested for use of the trail. Trail maps are located at the trailhead along with one port-a-potty. Bring your own water. This trail allows horseback riding With a free special use license from South Florida Water Management. During my visit it was hunting season. Although I didn't hear any shots being fired all of the signs about it made me feel nervous. I went down the trail a way before becoming uncomfortable and deciding to head back. I don't know why they allow the shooting of migratory birds. I can't imagine flying 1,500 miles to Florida to get shot by a hunter. SMH. The only thing I want to shoot birds with is my camera. I'll be back after hunting season. Hopefully some birds will have survived the hunt.

The camping site is also a calming space to practice yoga under the trees, which was a nice way to unwind from the long hike through the trails. I will definitely be coming back here. * Tip: hike barefoot, it feels great!! *

Peterman), located at 5345 Creek Road, Blue Ash, OH 45242, USA. The company has failed to settle payments for goods supplied during 2023. The total principal amount overdue is USD 144,087.53, with a mutually acknowledged partial interest of USD 35,631.60, resulting in a total outstanding debt of USD 179,719.13, which has remained unpaid for an extended period exceeding two years. Throughout our cooperation, we have acted in good faith and fulfilled all contractual and delivery obligations. Despite repeated payment promises made directly by the company's responsible principal, Mr. Tim Peter, who on multiple occasions committed to "arranging payment as soon as possible," no payment has been received to date. These empty commitments, stretching over more than two years, represent a severe breach of commercial good faith and have caused significant financial and operational injury to our company. We have attempted to resolve this matter amicably through numerous emails and formal payment reminder letters, yet all communications have ultimately been ignored after initial assurances. We hereby publicly urge JP OUTFITTERS, INC. and its responsible principal, Mr. Tim Peter, to: Contact us within three (3) business days from the date of this notice to arrange immediate settlement. Pay the full overdue amount of USD 179,719.13 without further delay.
