I was explaining to them today I kept forgetting to get their names to say how welcome it is for the come in there and they say hello to you and they take all the time and all of that she explained to me today how the process worked with the packaging and I appreciate her customer customer service and her patience. No money is owed to them, so it is not their priority. Several supervisors, child support attorneys, and years late, I am still fighting getting my cases done. On one of my children, the attorney for child support went directly against what the judge ordered, and made up his own ruling, saying "The judge cant do that". My children are 10 and 12.

I got into an accident and they took the report. They give you a card with the report number and…read moresay it's ready in 8 days or more. Most of the time it takes longer than that. On the card is a QR code to get to the site and you are supposed to enter the info to get your report. They don't tell you but if you go into the station you can get the face page of the report. This gives you all of the players in your collision. I didn't know this till I called the CHP. This is definitely a good thing to know in the future. My insurance adjuster said to go in in three weeks to get a copy of the report. It is usually done by then and you don't have to worry about it. The officers both when I called and at the station were super polite and helpful. I thought I would be on hold forever but they answered right away with a real person. Imagine that. Doesn't happen in most places. I thought I would be waiting like the DMV and at their office there was only one person waiting but not in line. I got helped immediately. It was so nice. I sure didn't expect this service.

Anyhow, from the minute I walked in the door everyone at the Sheriff's was so friendly, helpful, and randomly chatty. They helped me right away, fingerprinted me, and even gave me a discount to help save the school a little money. Score one for public service!

I called Ca DMV 7Times so far they continue telling me something different, make excuses, they sent me a form to fill out, Ca did it took 3weeks to get it, I filled the form out sent it to them with a check to get my old Registration back its been over 3weeks and I'm still waiting, I mean does anybody really care anymore I'm 72 the sticker expired in March and I'm still waiting for my old registration so i can get my plates here in Nevada, i blame Nevada too, i have my owners card my license even Passport an these clowns can't give me my plates and sticker, heck Nevada DMV they don't even answer the phone when I call, they never do, there Pathetic. It's funny to leave a review about a courthouse especially one that has to do with civil issues…read morelike child, custody, and restraining orders. I've always thought there was so much drama in this building that the drama probably held the building together and if those walls could talk, they would definitely have a lot to talk about. Working in law-enforcement as a civilian for almost 40 years I referred so many people that I can't even count to this courthouse. I came here recently to support a friend who was going to have a hearing for a restraining order and it was the first time I myself ever came to this courthouse. I have to say they run a tight ship and the experience with eye-opening and the judge that was hearing the case was very professional and very polite. The courthouse was very nice and it wasn't as packed as I thought it would be, but we were there in the early morning. My advice to anyone who unfortunately has to visit here is get here early because the parking lot looks like it can fill up pretty fast! Anyone needing a disabled spot they have some right in front of the doors and if you need that, also get here early cause I'm sure they fill up pretty fast too.

Well that's a loaded question. If you have to come here to file for divorce, so be it. Maybe try filing it online if you want to void creating long-term painful memories. As far as divorce goes, I don't recommend it. This is Not a place of an entertainment or anywhere special will you pick up a hamburger or a pizza slice. This is Divorce Court, Homie. People that are here probably wish they would never be here or never thought they would end up in such a building. as far as people working here, yeah, everybody's been very pleasant. The employee's attitudes were appropriate towards me. The check-in security felt exactly how you imagine it, which is a bit uncomfortable to have to empty out your pockets in purses and hold your belt buckles. So even though I was late for my appointment I instantly advanced to the head of the line. A few friendly words of warning about the dangerously hot conditions outside earned me friendly service and lots of chitchat. The staff member was pleased to accept my paperwork especially after I told him I tried the post office twice and twice there was a non-delivery. Which is how I ended up driving it in personally. He gave me lots of good advice about the next steps in the process and reassured me that there should be no punitive steps taken in spite of all the miscarriages in the delivery of the return. This was the most amazing friendly service I've had in a long time. I get the feeling when the personnel are not under pressure, they would be pleased to render such service routinely. Unfortunately, I suspect conditions are usually quite crowded. Everyone is aggravated and pleasant experience is far from reality. I wish the FTB well. And I would recommend you persevere if conditions are adverse, it may work to your advantage.

I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and easy it was to work with the franchise tax board in…read moreperson. My husband started a business and I was his agent, so I was allowed to speak on behalf of him and the company. The reason my husband started the business was to secure the name of the business, but nothing ever came of it. No business, no bank accounts opened, nothing. It was just a dormant business name from our perspective. Flash forward three years and we're getting a notice from the Secretary of State that we owe the money, which got us thinking about taxes too. When my husband looked up what that meant in terms of the franchise tax board, we were told we would owe a minimum of $800 per year for each year the business was active. They consider "active" to just have the name of the business. That would've meant $2400 to $3200 depending on when they thought the year started. I easily set up my appointment online. I parked on the north side of their building. The City owns that lot, so I did have to pay $2 to park there, which would have been the same had I parked down in that huge pit and walked up. @Park operates machines that allowed me to pay on their app, but I could have also paid at the parking lot machine. The lot also has disabled spots. The FTB was on the second floor, to the left once off the elevator. I checked in for my appointment and then got called 4 minutes later. I let the staff person know my business number, she looked us up and said we owed back taxes. She let me know the tab would be $3200 but then she allowed me to use the fiscal year start date of July 1, which meant a $2400 tab. Still steap for never having operated a business. However, through conversation, the staff person offered that I could file a Voluntary administrative dissolution/cancelation form if we never intend to do business and never did business. I assured her that we say yes to both of those stipulations. I filled out the form and she faxed it to the department that takes care of such things. We're still waiting for the verdict, which can take months due to large volume. It wasn't the FTBs fault that we didn't pay attention to the rules, so I will own that. Therefore, my experience with the FTB was quick, easy and helpful!
