I can't count how many times I told Barry that I was interested in a litigation case where I'd pay up front, fully knowing the damages I'd recover would likely be less than the retainer. I had to mention this four or five times before he acknowledge it and yet I'm still not sure he absorbed this. "Well, ya know by the time we file and go to court, it will be more than you're getting back" Jesus Barry, for the fifth time, yes! Barry initially came back and said his firm was "very interested" in the case, only to come back the next day and say they weren't. When I inquired as to why they changed their minds, he said they weren't interested in a class action case (it's not) and I should go elsewhere. I tried to clarify this to him and had to explain how legal assignment worked. It was shocking that they didn't know what this was - almost as shocking as Barry's inability to absorb the facts and details. If you're looking for a firm that will likely waste your time because they don't want to read and absorb the basics of your case, this is the place for you!
