I spoke with the after hours answering and they passed my information to James West one of their technicians. James came to provide the plumbing service we required. The blockage was further down the drain than i had expected. James worked very hard trying to work his auger through a couple of small blockages and finally a larger one. After that he reassembled all the pipes he had to removed and did a fantastic job cleaning up any mess that had been made. We highly recommend Express Plumbing and specifically James West.

I believe that everyone needs to make a living and paid a fair wage for what is due. We had asked Sean to come install a sump on July 5th at 5pm. He said he would come the next day, which he did at 5pm on July 6th, dropped off a black bucket the size of a garbage can and left - was at our house for less than 1 minute. We had another tradesman over at the time who found a sump hiding under our linoleum. I contacted Sean right away, and told him that we no longer needed his service. we ended up receiving an invoice for $339 for the 1 minute stop to drop off of the bucket. I messaged Sean back and forth for a long time trying to explain that I was very much willing to pay a dispatch fee, as Sean did come out to drop off some materials (the bucket), and we didn't end up using his service. However Sean insisted that he performed work is worth over $400. We later discovered that our sump wasn't working and asked another plumber to come and do a switch for us. The other plumber came and spent more than two hours to install and check everything over, supplied the pump and charged us $305 for the whole thing! I had talked to him about this situation with Sean, and planet plumbing. And our plumber said that for such a routine installation - sump pump, new or switch outs, the material list, prep work is very routine, all plumbers should have a template of what is required, and there is not much new or figuring out required if he is experienced and knows what he is doing, hence the invoice should not be more than a dispatch fee. At the end of the day, we just felt very hurt and deceived. so be cautious if choosing to use this contractor.

I called Romaniuk, and they were able to come out very quickly. My masked technician looked at my furnaces (I have 2, one in the original house, and 1 in the addition). He managed to diagnose the problem quickly (dirty heat sensors, I think he said), cleaned them, and replaced a part in one. The cost was a little over $300, which was respectable for the service call fee and quick fix. He even let me know that the type of filters I was using would damage my furnace, and that it was better to use the non-HEPA filters. He provided one for me so I could see which type they recommend.

A second installer had to come out to rectify 'deficiencies' in the first installer's work. As part of the 'job', I also requested that they install a gas line to a stove and BBQ on the same day as the AC install to minimize my time off work. No one showed-up to complete the gas line work, but I later found it was included in my AC install invoice. After multiple calls, they finally came out to install the gas lines, however, their work DID NOT pass the City inspection and I am still waiting for a callback on how they are going to correct the installation. They probably have the have the worst customer service I have ever experience as every contact requires a 'call back' that you rarely receive. Using ROMANIUK has cost me multiple lost work days due to their incompetence and dysfunction.

Small town service the way it should be…read more My Wife and I found ourselves in a situation last October where our furnace wasn't working up to par. We have a very old house and an old furnace. It turns out, the last owner of this house did some work of his own on this furnace and caused a lot more problems. After going through several other furnace repair and install companies in the area. (some of whom said that they didn't even want the job here cause it would be too much of a hassle to them), I walked into Bruin's. I started explaining my issues at the front desk just wondering if I could talk to someone to get some more opinions. One of the managers overheard the conversation and stepped out to introduce himself. Wow, at last someone wanted to not only listen but help out in anyway that he could!!! He listened and explained what was happening and why it happened that way. He then asked for me to come back with some more information. When I did make it back, he went through my rough sketch and had an employee draw up some better plans for airflow and explained what needed to be done to fix my issues. (Biggest issue was that my furnace was always shutting off from my high limit switch which is a huge problem). All of this information was free!! I was able to take back all of the information they gave me and do most the work myself. All of this help and reminds me of service you just don't get from big companies anymore.
