My kids are 6, 4, and 2 and each of them had a genuinely wonderful time. My husband and I did as well. We brought our lunch both days and ate in the cafeteria. We brought our stroller in with us all around which was helpful for toting around all the stuff you need for 5 people. I really can't complain about a thing. There were employees all over the place cleaning up constantly and taking care of the exhibits while also not interfering with the kids and their play at all. On friday and Saturday they have extended hours into the evening which is what lead us to come when we did. We were happy to have extra time each of those days and stayed well beyond 4pm which is the closing time the rest of the days. If you are considering giving this place a go, check it out for sure!!!

This place reminded me of the Exploratorium in San Francisco, , except instead of interactive exhibits highlighting scientific principles, these interactive exhibits were all about play! Play for both the kids, and the grown-ups. They had a ropes course for the younger kids, and another one for older kids and the grown-ups. For the kids, they had a scale model of a local grocery chain, where the kids could either "work", or "shop", right down to the working checkout lanes. They had a Sesame Street exhibit...., A butterfly habitat, and and All kinds of different indoor and outdoor play areas. I can still hula hoop! (for a whole five seconds...). They also had all of the exhibits on toys, games, and video games. This is the home of the national toy, Hall of Fame, and the national video game Hall of Fame. it was so cool seeing toys from my childhood, and a wide range of video games and pinball machine machines that are playable. The price to get in is very reasonable, and they also offer a military/veterans discount, and memberships to the museum, which offer free museum admission. There is a parking garage attached to the museum, with a small charge for parking, and there is a also a small charge for the ropes course, the butterfly habitat, or to play the video games/pinball machines. (4 tokens for a dollar, and every machine only takes one token...) This is an absolutely fun museum for kids of all ages. Thanks!!!

The schedule gods were friendly so I could root for my hometown team as a visitor to this pretty ballpark. Innovative Field is nestled in downtown Rochester and has a cool backdrop of some of the city's buildings. I really liked that the park is part of their downtown's identity as Syracuse's is not. Parking was nearby and fairly easy to find. Their gift shop is expansive and had lots of fun items to take home including their alternate jerseys (the garbage plates) and some of the diversity night jerseys and hats. I browsed but didn't buy. Food is pretty standard fare though they have a cool pub style area to get a beer and it has tv's to watch the action while you're enjoying a drink. For some reason, the hot dog buns are like a italian sub roll and engulf the dog - too heavy for a bun and too bready. Not sure what local place they are supporting, but this was my only complaint about their food. As with any park, your mileage may vary with the sunshine/sunset depending on which side you sit on. We sat in an outfield area near the scoreboards and it was pretty brutal :) Overall, a great place to watch a ballgame. I've been to better, but this one is a gem for Rochester-area baseball fans.

The rooms were laid out well. The system of getting clues is fairly straightforward. The clues and rooms were fun. It felt a bit rehearsed telling you the rules, which are important. I think it would be nice to have more of an engaging experience with the staff. I will continue to support them and bring more people through. Hoping I don't feel like a number next time but like I'm actually in an experience. Other experiences I have done in California the staff is very animated and engaging. You feel like they are part of it. It's a nice touch to feel that connection.

I'll start with some of the things I was less impressed with: 1) I understand the irony of my writing this review and saying this - but their reviews, ESPECIALLY Google reviews, should not be trusted. I was honestly appalled by the explicit solicitation of reviews. There were signs to "review us on Google" on EVERY pole in the building, and the poor employee had to give a speech (that was clearly mandatory) about "my manager really appreciates if you leave 5 star Google reviews blah blah blah" at the end of our experience. It was so uncomfortable and off putting. 2) The decor and entrance, as other reviewers have mentioned, leave a lot to be desired. The escape room itself was a-okay, but the waiting area and "party room" both felt very sparse and dungeony. If you're planning to book any kind of party here, I would go see the space prior to committing. The "party area" is back by the bathrooms and not private. The rest really was fun and wonderful! We had fun picking our team name, the employees were great and helpful and kind, and the room was the perfect blend of difficult and engaging. Overall, I would say go and enjoy. I don't know how it compares to competitors since this was my first escape room in years, but this is a solid option for dates and groups alike.
