So thankful I called here instead of the 1-800- flower type company. I ordered same day delivery flowers all the way from the Midwest. Very decent pricing and great customer service. I received text confirmation (as well as a picture of the product) when the flowers went out for delivery, as well as arrived. In my case the recipient wasn't there so I received a phone call asking if it was ok to leave them at the step. I really like how they beefed up my 6 roses, making it look a lot more magnanimous. Years ago, I enlisted Flower Connection to deliver some beautiful flowers to my aunt who was diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, that same aunt recently passed away and I contacted them to produce a standing spray for her funeral service on August 15, 2020. Lupe produced a stunning standing floral arrangement (see attached pic) that left me speechless. It was absolutely gorgeous! They delivered to the Glen Abbey Mortuary on time and even when the funeral home screwed up misplacing the flowers, Adriana stepped in on my behalf to quickly correct the problem. Words can not describe how THANKFUL I am to come across this amazing flower shop. Not only did they meet expectations they exceeded. Adriana helped us out. We had originally ordered a beautiful sympathy arrangement for a family member. It didn't make it the correct home as we were given the wrong address which we did not know until I reached out to the flower shop and Adriana took it upon herself to find out what happened. My mother needed a floral bouquet for her wedding ceremony and was recommended Manuel Chavez Flowers. We both visited the business and met with a woman named Christina. We were asked what we were looking for and we asked for a small-sized bouquet and corsage for the groom. We specifically requested that the bouquet be a small one because we thought a huge traditional bouquet would be too big and garish for a civil marriage ceremony and my mom is a petite woman. We were told it could be done and then were asked to choose a bouquet style from a book of samples and what type of flowers and colors we wanted. After some thought, we chose champagne-colored roses, lavender lilacs and white lilies surrounded by leatherleaf. We were told it would be ready for pick-up on Friday, one day before the event. We went to pick up the flowers on Friday and they had not even been started on. The excuse was that they didn't think she would arrive so early (2PM) and were waiting until later in the day to start the arrangements. Upset, we reminded the lady that we needed them for the next day's event and we made a business deal that specified that they would be ready for pick-up on Friday. The lady said she could have them ready in an hour if we wait. We had other event-related plans to attend to and could not wait around. She said she would have them ready by the end of the day and we could pick them up before closing time. We asked when they closed and she responded, "about 6:30." We demanded to know the exact closing time and not an "about" time. When we finally picked them up about 2 hours later, we were very disappointed by the size of the bouquet and the use what looked like branches with tiny balls on them that look like they came from the bushes you can find all over the city as accents. We ere told they were Eucalyptus leaves. They made the bouquet look way too thick and were not nice-looking. We voiced our disappointment and asked to have the eucalyptus removed. Only the leaves where removed and not the branches. The lady became defensive and she told us she had given us a low price - $50.00. The only positive thing about this experience was that the flowers they have are very beautiful. The roses, lilies and lilacs were perfect. The communication, regard for other people's time and service professionalism were not very good. You can also find florists in the area that charge a little less. Amazing flowers or not, we won't be visiting this business again in the future. It was just added stress and worry to an already stressful checklist of things to prepare for. read more
