I placed the order online, scheduled pick up, and moved on with my life. Unfortunately, I received an email about 5 days before I was due to pick up the arrangement essentially advising that my selection was no longer available because the flowers wouldn't be in season the month of December. Huh? They explained that they would do their best but I asked for a refund instead. Apparently there was a website issue that allowed the purchase to go through but shouldn't have. Disappointed and frustrated, I placed a last minute birthday order with a large corporation and tried to put the matter behind me. Well color me surprised when the Flowers & Fancies team sent me an arrangement to apologize for the error. I was shocked, surprised, and necessarily reminded that mistakes happen and it's best to have patience and understanding, especially for local, well meaning businesses. The arrangement provided is gorgeous and makes the one I ordered from a large corporation just doesn't compare. Thank you to Heather and the Flowers & Fancies team for making it right. At one point, they said they delivered them (after they told us they didn't deliver to the area) but were told there was no delivery and they couldn't provide a name or signature. They also told us there were other vendors we should blame, yet their email and address was on the paperwork. It was very embarrassing and to miss on such an important event as a funeral is not acceptable. The flowers that were ordered through the funeral director were delivered and very mediocre at best.

I ordered a purple arrangement and what arrived had maroon, yellow, hot pink... I'm no designer but these colors do not work together and certainly are not "periwinkle breeze." Be warned- the photos are not representative of what is delivered. To add insult to injury I requested a photo when I ordered and had to call twice for the photo.

She was extremely accommodating and made absolutely perfect arrangements (see photos). Our guests are still raving about the flowers two months later! We had a morning ceremony and a brunch reception, so Maria prepared the boutonnieres for pickup the afternoon before and went to the reception venue the morning of the wedding to decorate the cake and place the arrangements. I am simply stunned by her generosity and supportive spirit throughout the process. Truly delightful. I went ahead and reached out to them to provide flowers for my mom's 60th birthday. I had organized a small dinner in a private room at the Tabard Inn in Dupont. Once I emailed I heard back almost immediately. Maria's attention to detail was very impressive. I sent her photos of the space and she got back to me with arrangement ideas within my price range. Communicating with Maria was super easy as she always was quick in her responses.
