I was told that most of the regular staff was out due to Covid related causes so that is likely why the staff was primarily temps. This facility regularly uses a temp service so it may not be very uncommon. The residents feel the effects of temp servers who may have never been a server and it's their very first time being thrown into it if you have a family member expressing concerns or are visiting family, just know all servers are likely temps and it's probably their first time ever being in the facility. Patience. Despite the companies staffing issues causing longer wait times, the dishes were routinely dirty. Cups were murky and had food spots, and other dishes weren't consistently clean as well. The quality of food in terms of taste could have been better as well as many residents were not very impressed (with lunch, breakfast was fine). I had no concerns about the cleanliness of the kitchen and about food being safe to eat so that's a great plus. It was time, so.... We searched tirelessly the entire communinity and found that "The Oaks" is the nicest and best place. She has lived in the community for over 50 years and knew people that had moved to the Oaks and were very happy but we still chose to do our own looking and investigating. We kept going back to the Oaks. Eddie in sales was patient in answering our questions and addressing all of our concerns. A gentleman and helpful person above and beyond. The Exc. Director Leanetta Pryor completed and finalization the agreement and care for my mom to everyones satisfaction. She is as lovely as she is professional. The entire staff seem willing to accommodate their clients with a smile and swiftness we all appreciate. It gives me peace knowing they are very caring and looking after her and allowing her as much liberty as she needs and wants! The entire team has been a godsend during this challenging time, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. We want to specifically recognize two exceptional individuals: Dora and Sunny. Their dedication to my 88-year-old mother's recovery has been remarkable. They approach her care with a perfect blend of professional expertise and genuine compassion, consistently going above and beyond to help her regain her strength and independence. Dora and Sunny's consistent encouragement and specialized support have been crucial in getting her back on her feet and well on her way to normal. The rehabilitation process can be daunting, but thanks to the tireless efforts of the care/rehab staff, my mother feels motivated and cared for every step of the way. They always kept me informed about what was going on with my mom and were very attentive to any changes in her condition, which brought great comfort to me and my family. They did everything they could to keep my mom happy and comfortable. She was loved, respected, and very well cared for by an amazing staff. Rusinder helped me through the whole process of choosing a place where my mom would receive excellent care and, while she's definitely on the declining side of her dementia, she's been loved, respected and well cared for with the amazing staff. I'm fully aware of the turnover of staff in this industry but these homes employ people who have stuck around for a long time, I think the consistency of staff brings the level of care to a whole new level. We were looking for an Assisted Living Facility (ALF) for my Grandpa. After him having bad…read moreexperiences at other places, we finally found a beautiful, clean, spacious and caring place for him. Just by switching his environment and the staff that actually does things with their residents, his overall well being has improved rapidly! His specialists have seen nothing but positive results in his health to include his diet. Mariella of Grapevine's healthy & delicious diet plans for all their residents have made huge positive changes with his health. Their daily activities and outings are super fun and they always bring a medical staff member for extra support! He has been to more outings in less than 6 months than he has been at his last ALF in 2 years! The facility is super cozy, quant and beautiful. There's a courtyard with ducks, lots of birds and a koi pond. The environment is super clean and the quality of care for their residents is phenomenal! Do not use this facility for Rehabilitation because the facility will bill your insurance $8,500(85…read morehours ) for 20 days of rehab (5 week days) at 1.5 hours per day at a rate of $350 per hour (amount they bill your insurance )for a combined 1.50 hours of PT, OT and ST. 1/2 hour each. In addition to billing the patient/resident $5,400.00 for the same 20 days of rehab. Thus $13,900 for 20 days of 1.5 hours of rehab per day x 20 daya=30 hours $13,900÷ 30 equals $460 per day x 20 days of 1.5 per day (3rd party PT therapists) who are only being paid $100 per hour. The facility gross profit of $360 per hour. If you are someone ?who requires more PT good luck as none of their residents ever walk out of their own). As most are still wheel chair bound or using a walker when they leave if their lucky. After all if they fully rehabilitated their residents the facility would go broke. They are 50 percent short staffed because they can't retain good nurses or aides because the pay is low. 25 percent are contract so Covid is an issue. They Covid test the residents every 3rd day at $250 per test they charge the patient or insurance.Reason being too many contract employees thru 3rd party companies.

The nurses and aides seem to really enjoy their work and interacting with the residents. It has become like "family" to us. We especially enjoy Hannah the Head nurse. She is always willing to help.
