Ordered flowers for Mothers day, the premium bouquet which is slightly over $100. While yes this looks like a "nice" bouquet it does not include all the flowers listed on the site or the quantity. I called to inquire if there was possibly a mix up and they stated there was no mix up and my Mom received what I ordered. I asked about the quantity of flowers and even about the missing flowers and she laughed stating she saw it go out and it had the mini spray roses and everything else(I guess that means my Mom ripped out the flowers she stated were in there before she took the picture to thank me for them. Way to go Mom!) The lady kept talking about how proud they were to get the right color ribbon for the vase....I paid over $100 for the flowers, not for the right pink ribbon. While yes I understand online pictures will show all the flowers from one angle, you can clearly see the difference in what I was supposed to get and what I received. I guess it is back to the major flower retailers. I try to support local businesses but this time was really let down. read more

Highly recommend this florist! I called and placed an order for birthday flowers that were delivered same day- within an hour of my calling! I can't remember the name of the woman who helped me, but she was wonderful. She helped put together my order within my price range after discussing a few options, and even Helped verse a message on the card. The delivery was received within an hour, and the arrangement was perfect! They took care to call the recipient upon delivery to make sure they were home (in order to avoid leaving fresh flowers in the hot sun). Best customer service I've had in a long time. I ordered flowers from Flower Port for my mom's birthday. She sent me a picture of what she got, and it looked nothing like the bouquet I ordered, "Make Her Day." I understand that sometimes flowers need to be replaced, but what she received was not even close to the picture. It was not as full, nor did it have the same array of colors. The roses also had spots on them and their edges were curling. Probably leftover from Valentine's Day. Very disappointing and I will not be ordering from them again. read more

I have used Flower Port for many years for wristlets and boutonnières for my children's father/daughter dances, homecomings, proms, etc. Early on, I had always loved this shop. The woman who always greeted me (I assume it was the owner) was always very helpful and gave great suggestions. Over the last few years however, I have not been wowed by the service. To begin, the original woman is no longer there (maybe she sold the shop?). The woman who usually is the one to take orders always seems to recommend they same type of flower/design. Its always white and really hasn't given too much guidance. I have continued to go there because it's been very convenient from where I live. She had not been the most welcoming when you walk in. I went in today to order corsages and boutonnières for this weekend and next weekend for 2 proms. Yes I understand this weekend is short notice. My son and his girlfriend were supposed to do it a few weeks ago but with both of their crazy senior year schedules and game schedules, they forgot. When I was asking for suggestions based on the color of her gowns, again it was suggested white or pink. I was trying to have a conversation with her for some additional suggestions so that they would stand out, and she very quickly responded, "I don't know but I have a lot of orders to fill between proms on Friday and Saturday and Mother's Day so I need to get back to helping my staff and if they would have come in a few weeks ago, I could have come up with better suggestions." I was in the shop for maybe 5 minutes. She was very put off by my asking for her expertise and annoyed that I was taking up her time. I walked out and brought my business to another shop in town. I have given quite a bit of business to Flower Port over the years despite my not being in love with some of the flower arrangements. I will not be going back. I am giving it 2 stars because I feel no one deserves 1 star. they are a business and I understand how hard they work. However, I walked out of there very disappointed and saddened that this woman made me feel like an idiot and an annoyance. read more

i called this place to order a bouquet for my mom's interment and asked for a dozen yellow roses - her favorite. lady asked for my budget and i said 100-125. then she asked if i wanted any other fillers in the arrangement - probably to justify they charged the full amount for a HIDEOUS arrangement of roses well past their prime, RED and PURPLE flowers in a vase that fell over the minute you set it down. this was for outside, in december. when i called to complain, owner could have cared less. this place deserves to go out of business. i could have made something more beautiful for my mom if i went to giant eagle - just sick. read more

My fiancé purchased a dozen roses for me this Valentine's Day. He picked them up from Flower Port and delivered them to me at work. The rose petals were browning on the edges, so I figured they were picked up somewhere where they had been sitting for a while without water. Fortunately we had a flower vase at work so I cut and put them into water ASAP. When I got home and found out what he paid for the dozen roses, I couldn't believe it. I spoke with someone from flower port the next day to express my disappointment. She explained to me that the roses could have possibly gotten frozen from my fiancé's trip from the shop to my work (it was bitter cold out!) and that the weather can effect the condition of the roses. Without hesitation, I was offered an entirely new bouquet of roses. Not only that, but in a vase AND delivered to my apartment at a time convenient for me. I am SO pleased with the customer service from Flower Port. The new bouquet is beautiful! I am very pleased and appreciate them going above and beyond to make the situation right for me. read more

I always prefer to shop local, however, living in Portland makes shopping in Westlake Ohio a little challenging. I have had horrible experiences the last half dozen times ordering flowers online so now I Google local flower shops in the area I'm having them delivered. TIP - You save on the delivery charge by doing this as well! Natalie took my order today. She ran through a list of all the wonderful seasonal flowers they have in right now (because of the Easter holiday). They all sounded beautiful to me so I decided to go with the "daily deal" for my friend's birthday bouquet. I could not have received better customer service. She described the flowers to me, I gave her a price that I did not want to exceed, and she's working her magic as we speak. She even gave me an ETA as to when the flowers will be delivered to my friends house........TODAY! Yup, TODAY! Same day delivery with zero price gauging. I was in a pinch for my Uncles funeral and the original place I had ordered messed up and was not able to complete my order in time. A friend gave me the number to Flower Port and said she was wonderful. I called the same day of the wake at 2:30pm and she personally had them to the funeral home at 4:00 pm and they were ABSOULTY BEAUTIFUL !!!!! I would recomender her to all my family and friends. I can truly say that the prettiest and longest lasting ones I have received were from Flower Port. This week a guest at my house and I each received flowers from my brother in law...a dozen roses and a bouquet of mixed flowers. We have used Flower Port on a few occasions in the past with average results which has been the reason why we haven't used them much for our floral needs. I ordered a dozen roses to be delivered to my wife for our anniversary last month. When she received them in the early afternoon they were very warm - most likely from being in the delivery van all morning. They roses never opened up and in less than a week they were wilting and turning dark. These flowers did not make it seven days before they were thrown out. I can purchase a dozen roses at Giant Eagle or Shakers IGA and they will last upwards of 2-3 weeks not to mention they cost 1/3 the price. Very disappointing considering how long Flower Port has been in business. We will not use them again. read more
