I admire talented florists - their art creates memories that can last a lifetime. The flowers and fillers advertised on their site were in stock and fresh - new deliveries arrive Monday. This wasn't a modern design - they captured the 1970's theme I described, incorporating lotus pods and cattails. It felt like they were eager and open to my ideas. PLUS - they texted me a picture before sending the arrangement for delivery. Many florists aren't always receptive to styles outside their comfort zone. Or they process basic designs that fill traditionally acceptable national hotline number orders. I also learned they can create custom orders with less common florals if you provide advance notice, like: anemone, ranunculus, peony, and unique orchid varieties. While their website is easy to use, I recommend finding pictures of what you like and then CALL Claire to explain the occasion & exchange ideas. The arrangement pictured was approx $100. Flowerama was amazing, not only did they call to tell me they weren't sure if they would have the exact flowers because of delivery issues (everyone is having problems right now) but to talk about my delivery instructions. Not only did my mom LOVE her flowers, she sent me a picture and I LOVED them as well, above expectations and the delivery person was so great and waited for my mom to get to the door, I had told them it may take her a while since she just injured her back. Mother's Day was a disaster! I live in California and parents live in New Mexico. I usually always order from ProFlowers but this time was a mistake. They lost the order and missed mother days delivery.. but then ended up being delivered Tuesday after mother days... flowers were almost wilted and no smell.. BUT FLOWERAMA!! Saved the day! I used this shop before Covid and received 11 roses instead of the dozen I ordered. Called the shop and had to coax them into delivering one single rose the following day. Good customer service, good common sense seems to be lacking here. Shop was closed during Covid. OK. I can understand this. Ordered roses this week for my anniversary with delivery. 50 dollars higher than two years ago. Delivery day came and my wife had the front gate locked. She has her phone set to forward unrecognized phone numbers to VM. The delivery person made the attempt and left with the roses. Eventually my wife called, spoke to the shop and was told her choice was to pick them up herself or wait for delivery tomorrow. She chose delivery tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and now I am home for our anniversary. We wait, and wait and in the afternoon I call and ask where is my order. Oh, its in the shop, waiting for pickup. No, they won't deliver it today but will deliver it tomorrow, do you want us to deliver it tomorrow? Went over to the shop with my wife. Picked up her very very expensive and now aged roses. No adjustment for delivery (we attempted delivery- OK).. My wife is a very loving and practical woman. She told me that she loves me and that with such caring service in this town I will just buy her roses at Sam's club, put them in our own vaise. I will in the future, many more roses, fresher and much less expensive. Our next delivery from this shop will be at one of our funerals (our church seems to use this operation). Avoid. I asked her about the arrangement and she said the petals of the roses were partially dried and falling off. When I send flowers I trust that what I purchased will be as close to the arrangement that I chose and the flowers being delivered are going to be fresh or at least not partially dead. This is my 2nd Mother's Day here in LC away from the kids. Last year they sent an arrangement in a ceramic planter but what I received was a basket, we let it slide and did not complain it wasn't what hey ordered for me. This year they sent a dz long stemmed roses in a glass vase, expensive. There're completely wilted after 4 days, I called the shop and the manager said I can bring it in and they will refresh them. Okay sure let me drive to you for something that was delivered to me that was done incorrectly. The ends were not cut. No offer of a discount or replacement of a different, less expensive bouquet. I have used Flowerama numerous times, ordering from out of state for my Mother. Today, I was lucky enough to be in town so I popped in to get an arrangement personally. I set a budget of $100-$125 thinking that would be sufficient to do something pretty big and lovely. When I went to check out, I was asked if I had a target budget number and I again stated $100-$125. She rang up $124.99 - With tax, it was nearly $140. Fine, I thought, it will be a very nice arrangement. Boy was I wrong. How underwhelming this arrangement was. When she asked if it was okay, I asked if it was $125 worth and her reply was, "well, it probably is because the lilies are $10 each". There are 5 or 6 stems of lilies. And the rest ar filler flowers and certainly not $60 or $70 dollars worth and I didn't even get a vase. I am so disappointed with this purchase. I won't use this florist again. Buyer beware! I got burned twice by this sad excuse of a florist! (Strike 1) I ordered flowers for my daughter during Christmas... never showed! About 2 mo ago I attempted to order 2 bouqets. The one I had picked out was a little too difficult of flower to obtain so we made simple changes. White roses and hydrangeas, we supplied ribbon and peacock feathers as accessories. Now, Loretta called and stated she would like next day payment on the bouqets because they were special order. I inquired about what was special and she started talking about lillys and tulips and flowers that were not included in my order. I told her I would have to call her back but before I got a chance to withint minutes she called stating she refused to do my bouqet "because I gave her attitude" and I could come by to pick up my supplies. I am now in need of a florist 2 weeks before my wedding. I would strongly discourage ANYONE working with this company if this is how the owner chooses to treat customers. Very disappointed.
