Once I finished, I was still getting rude energy from that employee, while the other young lady was assisting me. We met with 4 different decor companies for my son's recent bar mitzvah and opted to go with Kehoe because we absolutely loved Mal- her energy, her warmth and (most of all) her fresh ideas. She was lovely and easy to work with throughout the entire process so I was bummed to learn a month before our big event that she she had moved companies. However, my planner assured me that we were in very good hands because Tom Kehoe was taking over our event and that most of our event was already in production. I guess this is the benefit of going with a large company like Kehoe. I do think things were a little more chaotic in the few weeks leading up to the bar mitzvah as Tom and his team (we mostly worked with Sydney) got up to speed. We had to redirect with some proofs at the last minute, but the finished product was more amazing than I even expected. The tennis decor they designed was youthful, classy and absolutely breathtaking. Even big sister (my 15 year old daughter) who is tough to impress walked in and said "WOW- this is actually really cool." And while there were many amazing wow moments from the night the #1 comment I received over and over and over again was that decor was unbelievable. It was definitely pricey and tough to swallow spending what we spent on what's essentially a 13 year olds birthday party, but I gave the same budget to 3 other well known decor companies and the budget went further with Kehoe than any of the others. And I thought their ideas were also more innovative and appropriate for a 13 year old boy. Overall, I couldn't have been more pleased. I'm bummed that Mal herself moved on, but would definitely consider using Kehoe again providing there is another designer who is a creative and fun to work with.

The selection is stellar and I think they have something for everyone! Plus, their pretty pottery, books, and other accessories mean you can walk out with a cute plant AND a cute home for it. They're closed Sunday-Tuesday, so just make sure to check the hours before dropping by. They also seem to have a robust website & post new plants there, so that's another option if you're not comfortable with in-person shopping. As for covid, only 3 shoppers are allowed in at any time, masks must be worn at all times, hand sanitizer is provided at the door, and you can only touch what you intend to purchase. I had a very specific vision in terms of colors and theme, but I left flower selection, shape, etc. all completely up to Jori and she designed and executed it all flawlessly. My husband just kept repeating how incredible the flowers looked as if he was in shock, but after interviewing over 15 other florists before choosing Jori, I was not one bit surprised at how perfect the florals were. Our venue is a lot of dark gray and glass, and can feel a little corporate and cold if the design doesn't intentionally warm it up. I had asked for monochrome blush-mauve-berry, but the actual shades Jori chose made the room feel bright and welcoming and cozy all at the same time. Everything Jori planned worked for both our ceremony during daylight and during the reception when it got dark, which I didn't realize would be so important when I was thinking about wedding planning. We also asked for a hanging installation that I imagine was difficult to create, and it was the perfect scale and design for the space.
