On 9/23/25 for our wedding anniversary I ordered roses from Flowers By Laney, specifically the Eternal Love Boutique - Deluxe. The total came to $173.83 (after taxes and fees) which I have no problem paying that amount if the product ordered looks similar to the what is advertised. I attached pictures of both (white background is what was supposed to be sent). My wife spoke with the owner who hung up on her after asking why my wife did not call that day. We are busy and my wife called as soon as she had time to. That was not the issue and we were not even calling to get the money back or replaced, it was to let them know that what was advertised is not what was being sent to people. But the owner hung up on my wife before anything could be resolved. The owner then texted my personal number saying my wife is "...difficult to talk to". I order a lot of flowers through work, and Flowers by Laney really went above and beyond to make sure my order was amazing. I placed an order online for one of their bouquets and mentioned that it was for a new baby. They reached out to ask if they could add a special touch by using a cute lamb container instead of the usual clear vase -- how considerate! It sounded so cute so I requested a photo if they weren't too busy, and they followed up so efficiently with photos of the beautiful arrangement they created!!! The pictures say everything. I ordered flowers for my sick mother in law and said NO SUBSTITUTIONS but guess what they did...substituted the main flowers for cheaper junk and when I brought it to their attention, they were rude and refused to correct their mistake or even offer an apology. I live in Montgomery County Maryland and wanted to send some flowers from a group of girls for a friend who's grandfather passed away a few days ago. With everything going on because of Covid19, I was worried florists and deliveries would not happen. I ordered them last night at 11pm and by 1:30 today? She already received the flowers. I searched for hours for a decent flowery delivery place and this one seemed at least fine. What I got was a completely different color scheme and included different flowers than the photo without consulting me. I selected "no substitutions" on the order, so this upset me. Terrible customer service. I have never written a review before but the lack of response has compelled me to. A group of co-workers and I ordered a sympathy bouquet for a fellow co-worker. I called ahead to ask how close to the website image they could make the arrangement. I was told there would be ONE substitution. I was ok with this. Upon receiving the flowers my co-worker who was grieving the loss of her mother was very thankful and sent a picture. The bouquet looked quite sad compared with what was promised. There was more than one substation and the substitutions were cheap at that. I wrote two emails with no response. I felt I couldn't peruse the issue due to the fact that monies were pooled and I certainly could not ask the bereaved co-worker to return the bouquet. The flowers I received were far less than what was ordered but the bigger disappointment was the way I was treated when I called to express my dissatisfaction. I was polite and respectful while voicing my concerns and the owner raised her voice to me, was defensive and rude. A terrible customer service experience with only a partial refund. I've since read several similar reviews which can only lead me to believe that this is commonplace with this business. I will share my bad experience with my friends in the community to try to spare them from similar disappointments. read more

We had a great experience with Flowers By Laney. While they didn't have the exact flowers we ordered on hand, they did call to ask if their substitute would be acceptable before just sending them first. We were also able to order balloons and even a birthday cake for my mother-in-law (which she said was delicious)!
