I had no plans to write a bad review until the call I made was handled very poorly. I have also read through other bad reviews and believe they all stem from the same problem. My husband ordered anniversary flowers while on a rig far off. By googling my area and flower delivery. He paid a crazy high prize for a small arrangement with a plastic vase. The vase has fallen over upwards of 30 times in a few days because it is skinny and plastic which is why I called to give some constructive criticism. The young lady on the other end explained to me that it was my husband's fault because he used a third party company. They take half the money the customer pays up front. She also claimed the order specifically requested a plastic vase which is ridiculous. I went and read through everything and it didn't. My husband had no idea it was third party. The company is Ava's flowers so he thought it was a shop. A lot of people have complained about paying really high amounts for cheaper arrangements, probably because of this third party trap. Bear in mind this is something that Lou Ann signs up for to receive more customers. If it lowers the quality of work and costs your customers more then maybe paying to advertise your actual company on google would benefit the company and customer more? Either way it definitely wasnt my husbands fault and there was no request for a skinny plastic vase on the order. Even if there was lou anns is choosing to work with this third party company. The customer is being tricked into it. Lou Ann's is not. We will use another local company with good customer service. read more

I ordered flowers on labor day weekend from their website. I received a confirmation email stating delivery would be on 9/6. On 9/7 there was still no delivery so I called. At first they told me there was a problem with the credit card charge. Then they told me it was because there was no delivery address (I had indeed supplied a delivery address - it was included on the confirmation email that they sent me.) They decided they could fix it by recharging my credit card but it was clear to me that they had no idea what had happened or if my card had already been charged (all indications from their email were that it had been). Their tone when speaking to me implied that this was somehow my fault - even though I kept telling them that everything was correct on the confirmation email that they had sent me. Instead of apologetic they just seemed irritated. I cancelled the order but now I get the pleasure of having to check with my credit card company to see if I'm billed anyway. I have been using Flowers By Lou Ann for the past several years. I have always been impressed with the quality and customer service I receive anytime I have dealt with them. I get my wife flowers on a regular basis, and other occasions that require flowers and every time she is impressed. Out of probably 20-25 orders in the past 4 years or so there has only been 1 issue with a vase leaking (This was one of the first orders I placed) I called them up and told them what was happening and they sent someone out right away to change the vase out. I ordered a beautiful large plant arrangement with flowers online for a funeral. Saw the plant after the fact and it was nothing like what I ordered. I guess it was a nice green plant but it was small and didn't have a single flower! When I called, Debbie's solution was that they go to the deceased family's home to pick it back up. WHAT! I said no way, that is awful! I even paid extra and ordered the "deluxe" but there was definitely nothing deluxe about it. Ink was smeared after writing the card so saying was not even legible. This was not a good experience at all. Maybe they didn't have exactly what I ordered online but sticking a little plastic butterfly in a plant is not comparable to a beautiful arrangement. At the least someone could have called the number on the order to give me alternative options. I did however end up getting a refund but that took two weeks and it was not a pleasant experience either. read more
