Susan was on the phone quickly, I was on their website, had a few questions, she addressed those quickly. She was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I have bought and LoVed the floral designs and in store items from this shop for many years now. Until today. I purchased what I specifically asked for and 3 of the things were omitted (berries, snap dragons & pink and white ribbon [for baby girl]. They included some red (which they said were "hot pink") Ranunculas and I do not like red. They filled this order and didn't bother telling me they had to omit/substitute. Had they done so, I would have cancelled. I called shop after a pic was sent to me and disappointment issued. Spoke to TWO managers and neither would offer to make this right. No discounted partial refund or even remaking arrangement. Not sure if it's because of their expenses on the refurb shop, but regardless I will NOT be using them any longer after about 15 years of loyalty which meant nothing to them. Yesterday I realized we had missed our son and daughter in laws Anniversary which was end of February. A lot going on with parents estate sale and just trying to take care of everyone. So instead of sending a belated card I went online and ordered flowers from French Peas, the bouquet was called Pink Pottery Delight. Received a text from them last night and they loved the surprise! She also sent a picture which was so true to the website. My DIL reminded me I had ordered from French Peas before and luckily while searching the internet I found them again. I live in NYC, but am from Tyler originally. At the last minute, I realized it the following day was my very best and dear friends 59th wedding anniversary. I logged onto the French Peas website and quickly placed an order for the Gerber Daisies (my favorite). I made a request that they be delivered before 11am or after 3pm. They followed through seamlessly! The flowers were delivered at 10am. My friends loved the flowers! Thank you, French Peas, for being so detailed for me when I'm so far away. Horrible experience with this florist. I called to order flowers for my sister's 86th BD and explained that she had serious health issues, and it was important that she receive a nice, large bouquet for her BD. I was assured she would. Instead, they delivered a small, puny bouquet and then stated they did not tell me that the bouquet would be nice and large. This is an out-and-out lie. I called the following day and was then asked to send a photo so that they could "explain" the arrangement as they had no idea what they had delivered. I again stated my unhappiness/displeasure, but they did nothing to remedy the situation. Again, they lied and said large bouquets begin at $125. Really? This was NEVER discussed. This florist is dishonest, does not value customer service, and is strictly $$ focused. My recommendation is NOT to trust this florist and select another with a reputation for honesty and integrity. read more

I LOVE FRENCH PEAS!!!! I have used them on several occasions for little orders but recently I went and picked up a whole bridal party bouquets (7 bridesmaids bouquets and one huge bridal bouquet). In my lack of knowledge about flowers i put them in the fridge to sit before I left for the wedding. Two hours before I was supposed to leave for the wedding, I checked on them and they WERE BROWN because they got too cold. After a mental break down and frantically calling people to figure out what to do I called french peas to maybe get a tip on how I could fix it and they told me to come in and they would help. They redid ALL of the bouquets and did not charge me at all even though it was all my fault! I will never use another flower shop. read more

I am from Palestine, but currently live in Socal. I am getting married near Tyler next May, so I scheduled a consult with French Pea regarding my wedding and flew all the way from California to attend it. My fiancé is Hawaiian, so I wanted to try to achieve a somewhat tropical look, within reason as I understand that certain flowers would be hard to get. The consult went ok, although I didn't feel very much "warmth" from them. It was almost as if I was interrupting or a burden somehow. The consult was September 7 and I was told that I would receive a quote the next week. After I finally emailed them, I got the quote on September 23. Nothing at all was said in either the consult or the quote about not being able to meet my expectations. Understand that I stressed multiple times that I was flexible. When I received the quote, I immediately responded with my credit card # to pay the deposit and was told that I would receive the contract in the mail. I finally emailed again on October 10 as I had not received the contract and the deposit had not been charged and was told that they had been very busy and would mail the contract out in a couple of days. Then on October 21, I received a card in the mail that said "We don't do tropical. We do more of a garden look. So we can't meet your needs." I was SHOCKED that it took SEVEN weeks to tell me that they couldn't "meet my needs", when I had always said I gave them creative license. I honestly feel like another wedding came along that they couldn't do both, and the other wedding would be more profitable. Otherwise, it shouldn't have taken 7 weeks to decline my business. Had I known sooner, I could have met with another florist when I flew into Tyler last week to meet with the bakery. Now I'm back to square one, with no opportunity to meet with a florist in Texas until February. read more

I stopped by and talked to the ladies in the shop and they were friendly and helpful and advised me to email Stacy, who handles their events...so I did and I will never deal with French Peas again. First I was basically told "let me know when you have a date and a venue and then I'll work with you" after I had very clearly explained to her that the venue was chosen but the date was in limbo because I wanted to make sure the flowers we liked would be in season. So after emailing again and reiterating what I had already told her about my concern with committing to a date was the availability of the calla lilies (a SEASONAL FLOWER) my fiancee and I really wanted and letting her know what colors we were looking for and asking for any suggestions I was told "Honestly, we don't work with that color of flowers.
