I spoke to Melanie herself to order 2 floral arrangements for my brother-in-law's Memorial Service in Interlachen. She was so patient and helpful and answered all my questions. I didn't know where to begin and was thankful for her suggestions. She was so kind, and a pleasure to deal with! And the flowers were absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Nice and fresh, beautifully arranged, and exactly what I wanted. She even added some green flowers as I had requested (for an Irish theme). Everyone at the service remarked about them. And my sister (who deals with Melanie) was so pleased! A big THANK YOU to Melanie! read more

I ordered an arrangement for a memorial service and there was a mix up at the funeral home. Melanie's was very professional and between her and Johnson Overturf Funeral they made sure that it was straighten out. I will definitely use her for all my floral needs. read more

I live out of state and needed an arrangement for a good friend of mine's mother's funeral. I can't say enough for the attention they took to make this arrangement so beautiful, that my friend raved about it. It's so hard to find people in any customer service business that care any more and I am blown away by how you took care of me. I am in NC and called on a Saturday with Tropical storm warnings going on in Palatka. My husband had a death in his family and we couldn't make it down but Melanie was so kind and gave us lots of suggestions and even text pictures of the plants she had. I don't know if I have ever had better customer service. I don't think you could find a nicer florist. read more

I ordered online. They called me because they didn't have exactly what I wanted . So I agreed to the change and the recipient of the flowers was very happy. She sent me a picture and they were more beautiful than I had imagined. read more

A friend of mines mother past and I live in Hollywood Fl. I couldn't make it so I placed my order over the phone at 9am and the funeral was at 12 noon. They were very fast and professional. The flowers arrived to the funeral home on time and everyone loved them!!! read more

Very positive experience! Whether I ordered flowers in advance or a last minute arrangement, Ms. Melanie has always stepped up to the occasion. Her flowers are fresh, fragrant & beautiful. She always accommodates my strict demands & suggest beautiful flower combinations that I normally would not think of. She recently prepared a dozen mixed red & soft pink roses for my girlfriend. The combination of roses, fillers, wrapping paper & ribbon were perfect. She placed each rose in plastic tubes so that they would have enough water as I made my way through 3 airports w/ flowers at hand. Each rose was carefully wrapped in green wire to protect the stems from braking. The surprise in my girlfriend's face was priceless! Thank you for making me look like I spent a small fortune in flowers when in reality they are budget friendly. I will recommend this florist to everyone that I know. read more

However, Ace Hardwares amazing Florist has closed its doors and my husband decided to try Southern Grace again due to their proximity to our house. While Ace hardware had FREE delivery within so many miles, Southern Grace is much closer to us and there was a $15 delivery fee. I do hope they will consider adjusting delivery fees based on location of delivery. The flowers my husband had sent to me were absolutely beautiful. We have to be very careful due to us having cats and he made sure to mention no lilies. The flowers were beautiful the day they were delivered as well as 4 days later they still look fabulous. I am not sure what he paid for them to determine value, but I do know that the $15 delivery fee was a bit excessive for a 2.5 mile delivery. I do hope they learn from the bad reviews and throw out or donate flowers that are borderline, rather than put them in bouquets people pay top dollar for.

The owner came back with he would include it in the deal for "his cost, $95.00". I countered with, "I'm paying full retail price, you can include for the $95.00". He said no! He was silly enough to lose the whole deal for $95.00! I was very courteous and not demanding about anything during the whole process. If that small a difference made the deal fall thru, I certainly would not want him servicing the cart in the future. He probably would nickel and dime you to death if his margins are that small! I bought 3 miles down the road and actually got a much better cart for a reasonable price.

I was just as surprised to learn that the famed hat-maker once called the small town of DeLand, FL home. I happened to be visiting during peak manatee season and so had the privilege of being able to still enjoy the mansion during its special holiday tour season. During the holiday tour, each room of the mansion has a unique theme to it that you get to learn all about from your helpful docent. Not only do you get to the enjoy the wonderful story of that room's decorations theme but the history of the home and family is wonderfully blended in. I'm told that obviously during the regular historical tour you dive deeper but I left learning waaaaay more about the Stetson family than I ever expected (or knew). The home is privately owned and you the love and passion the new owners have for the historic property is evident in every room. We even had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners (the super sweet and DeLand native, Kayla) I was surprised to learn she had even created many of the decorations herself that adorned the opulent rooms in the mansion. The Stetson Mansion is a great example of one of the many historical gems tucked away in Florida small towns that you can stumble upon when exploring the state. Whether you're doing the regular history tour or holiday tour, you're sure to have a fabulous visit to the Stetson Mansion.
