I paid 219 dollars for funeral flowers and when I saw them it was horrible. Wasn't even what I ordered.it was supposed to have been all yellow roses and it had 6 and 5 dasies and wasn't supposed to have had any dasies and on the card they cut mu name in half.it was very trashy looking. We all work hard for our money and when we order things we should get the moneys worth.the flowers wasn't even worth 50 bucks and when I called them they said call back monday and hung up.how disrespectful.now know that they make their living screwing peopleover but now I know never to use them again.and I would never refer anyone to them either read more

I have been ordering flowers from this shop for years, and they have always done a nice job.

I was ordering flowers for a friend and rather than ordering from an "internet provider" I wanted to use a local florist. I live in another state, but was familiar with Newport and googled Wilma's. Very happy she had a website I could order thru and so i placed and order for Daisy's, roses and other spring flowers, as well as a balloon. I didn't get an email confirmation, so I called several hours later to confirm. She never mentioned she had to change the order. My friend sends me a picture of the flowers she received and i was shocked. NOTHING LIKE the bouquet I ordered. NO Daisies at all in it. They were replaced with lilies! It reminded me of a funeral arrangement. So i called Wilma back and very politely inquired about it. I was told she ran out daisies, and she guessed she should have called me. No offer of correction but I was going to leave it alone and let it go because of the "substitutions allowed" fine print. Live and Learn. BUT then I find out she didn't get the $5 balloon i ordered. So i am very dissatisfied with how this order was put together. I called again this morning to politely inquire why the balloon I paid $5 for was not with the order. The woman asked if my friend would come to town and pick up a balloon??!! NO i said, i paid for delivery, a particular arrangement and a balloon, what I would like is the order to be delivered again the correct way. She raised her voice at me and huffed all aggrivated, "I'm not going up there again" and she offered to credit me the $5. I don't want to be a mean person and I honestly believe Wilma was as frustrated as me however, the right thing to do was to correct the situation and make the customer reasonably happy and she didn't. I don't want to see small businesses lose money but if you are putting yourself out on the web and don't provide the product specified or complete the order correctly that's on you as a company. I would not order online from Wilma's again. Possibly ordering storefront would be a better turnout. I don't know? ********WILMA'S CALLED BACK JUST AS I FINISHED TYPING THIS****THE WOMAN CALLED TO TELL ME BASICALLY I WAS MAD OVER NOTHING. THAT I WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT NOTHING MORE THAN DAISIES!!!! I swear I did not raise my voice once to her, I very politely said regardless of the substitution and flower choice, the bottom line is she didn't deliver the balloon. I asked if she read the order..she said NO I DIDN'T READ THE DAMN ORDER and hung up on me.
