I love Flowers for Dreams. Have been a fan ever since they opened in Milwaukee. I love that a portion of their profits goes to a different nonprofit in the community each month. Their flowers are beautiful. I get a bouquet every year for Valentine's Day. This year, I was feeling under the weather, was leaving work early when my boyfriend said the delivery window was 8-5. I called FFD and spoke with a staff member who let me know we couldn't reroute the delivery but they would make me a new bouquet to pick up. The staff member was so patient as I had almost completely lost my voice. I showed up to their shop with my mask on and a barely audible hello. They knew exactly who I was and got my package ready for me. I love that they partner with other small businesses to create fun bundles. The candle accompanying the flowers smelled amazing and the chocolates were delicious. Over a week later and the flowers look just as good as on day one! Flowers for Dreams opened me up to being creative in a whole new way! I am so glad I got a chance to finally go to this beautiful shop. This past weekend was their Thanksgiving Workshop, in which every guest was able to create a holiday inspired centerpiece. What a fun experience! Immediately upon arrival, the atmosphere of the space gives all the best vibes. It's a rustic and beautiful space with warm colors and of course, the aroma of many, many flowers. The lovely staff greeted everyone as they entered, explained a bit about the shop, and let us know there were yummy snacks to enjoy. Plenty of Hatched MKE pies and Crispin Cider to go around! This particular workshop was led by Drew and he made the experience so delightful. With a background in floral arranging, he was very descriptive, creative, and helpful! They certainly give you the tools to be successful, even if you're a complete beginner (like me). Everyone started with a simple water-filled box, chicken wire, and plant cutters (is that what they're called? LOL). I had the most amazing opportunity to attend a flower workshop so I "rose" to the occasion. Flowers for Dreams started in Chicago and moved to Milwaukee a few years ago. What makes this place stand out is not only the quality of the flowers (and where they source their flowers) but their charitable motto- 25% of their proceeds go to charities. I loved that any proceeds that I spent went to amazing charities. One that we learned about today was Wish Upon A Wedding which provides weddings for those with terminal illnesses (think Make a Wish). This was my second flower arrangement class (but first with Flowers for Dreams). The staff that taught us how to arrange all have backgrounds in floral arranging- i.e. they went to school for this- and are super creative and down to earth. They were super helpful in giving us tips and tricks on how to make the flowers look pretty. I'm very happy with my arrangment. We started with a wooden box and filled it with flowers and surprisingly chicken wire- instead of the green foam because chicken wire is recyclable! We added different types of flowers (do not recall their names) and sipped on Crispin and snacked on hatched pies- yum! It was a fantastic evening and I will definitely return to pick up some flowers when I'm in the area! They also do weddings and corporate events. For now my gorgeous arrangment will do! read more

First off, I was probably a nightmare to work with, I changed my order at least 100 times, and they were so kind every single time! I have ordered flowers for people, have had flowers delivered to me, I have stopped by their truck at the Cathedral Square Market, and have now taken a Thanksgiving centerpiece workshop. Each and every time the bouquet is a delight. They are always so much hardier than your run of the mill flower shops (obviously just my opinion) The price point is in line with Milwaukee and you don't need to break the bank to get a quality treat sent to someone. The truck that parks at Cathedral Square Market is SO CUTE. I asked them if I could take some pictures in it because it's so cute and they happily obliged. Again, the price point is on par and they had fresh ready to go bouquets set out. The staff is also always so friendly and warm! In regards to the Thanksgiving centerpiece workshop, I had a great time. I was greeted to a warm group of staff, some hand pies from Hatched MKE and some Crispin Cider. We got to socialize for a bit first which was nice to get to know some of the other ladies since I came to the workshop alone. They go over their mission which by the way is AMAZING. They donate 25% of all profits to a charity that rotates each month. Some of the charities will really tug on your heartstrings, it's just a really cool concept. What more can you want from a florist? How about one that's community minded, locally focused, and charity oriented? That's right. They create their bouquets from regional markets and for every bouquet sold, Flowers for Dreams donates a portion of the proceeds to local charities. To date, they've donated $220,000+ to charities. Ie: During the month of August, every bouquet purchased in Wisconsin bought a backpack filled with school supplies for a Milwaukee public school student as part of their Bouquets for Backpacks campaign. Their bouquets are reasonably priced, beginning at $35 for a small bouquet (again, that's the price delivered), $55 for a medium, and $75 for a large. We typically go for the medium, but have purchased the small as well and found it abundant with blossoms. There are currently four themed bouquets to choose from. The Fall, Violet, Sun, and Farm. tl;dr beautiful flowers with a great cause behind it I've got to say I'm impressed. The MKE spot is new (company is based out of Chicago) and it's clearly trying to make an impression with great customer service and style (shout out Kale - great CS!). Four classic categories keep things simple, classic and gorgeous. The summer blooms were breathtaking. I got a bouquet for my mother. I received a phone call from the delivery man confirming if anyone was home, I explained no one was and he nicely explained where he was putting the bouquet outside to keep it in a safe place. He was cheerful and courteous. The delivery is also free and hand delivered by someone (the website confirms they're often riding around bicycles! - at least during less miserable Wisconsin months probably.) The prices are fair - $35 flat rate to start and it goes up from there, good quality both of the flowers and if you get something to put them in (even when you don't I believe they come in burlap which is also nice.) The other big thing I like about this company is that it takes a charity per month and donates to it (started based out of Chicago and have been doing the donating as a whole entity since 2012.) I attended the thanksgiving centerpiece workshop and man, what a fun night out. I was greeted warmly with smiling faces, baked goods, and the delightful aroma of flowers. This would be really fun to do with friends, but I had a perfectly lovely time surrounded by new people as we all immersed ourselves in our own creative task. The staff (all experienced and educated floral professionals) explained how Flowers for Dreams donates 25% of their profits to charities, then went on to describe what we would be making, the supplies we'd be using, and each of the plants. Staff was there every step of the way to offer encouragement, hype us up, and offer advice if we had questions or wanted opinions. At the end of the class, they provided large bags to protect our centerpieces from the cold during transport. The class lasted about two hours and it zipped by. Such a great way to get away from the humdrum of early onset Wisconsin winter and get the creative juices flowing. Tip: I would recommend getting a spot at the end of a table if you can so that you get first shot at selecting your flowers. I loved this workshop and would love to do another. They have a wreath making workshop in December (sign up early cause they fill up fast!) and might host a Galentine's workshop in February which sounds to die for! read more

I went to the Flowers for Dreams Thanksgiving Workshop this past weekend and had an amazing time. It was my first time dabbling in centerpiece flower arrangements, and the staff and instructor made the whole seemingly overwhelming process simple and doable. When you first arrive in the cozy shop, you are quickly checked in and invited to enjoy some local food/drink goodies that are included with the workshop (in our case, there was a variety of Hatched pies and Crispin ciders). Then, you claim a prepared workstation and wait for the fun to begin! After a quick introduction to Flowers for Dreams and their mission, we watched a short video about the charity that the company is currently supporting (25% of their profits are donated to a monthly rotating charity). With step by step instructions and tips, we were guided through the process of building our centerpieces starting with greenery then adding layers of primary, secondary, and "filler" flowers. I really appreciated that the instructor took the time to teach us about the different types of flowers and their uses. I also noticed how accommodating they were with offering creative replacements when fellow participants stated allergies to certain types of flowers or noticed damaged stems. After the placement of each set of flowers, the instructor would walk around and personally visit each participant's station to offer encouragement, give suggestions, and answer questions. In the end, I proudly left with a beautiful self-arranged Thanksgiving centerpiece for my upcoming Friendsgiving dinner! Drew and his team created a space that I could not have even dreamt up myself. Every single detail was absolute perfection. Not to mention, Drew was quite possibly the most accommodation person every and was an absolute joy to work with. I requested an 8x8 Chuppah be moved after our ceremony as well as changes at our last in person meeting and he was always so willing to go above and beyond for me and my new husband. Beautiful bouquets and excellent customer service! I placed an order for a bouquet delivery and every step of the way was pleasant and easy. Their online ordering system is really clear cut but I also had questions so I spoke with someone on the phone too. I feel really good about ordering through them because a portion of all proceeds go to local charities. They deliver all over and give you a call and email to confirm when that is completed.
