I'm very disappointed with the funeral arrangement I ordered. I paid for the premium version, but what was delivered looked nothing like the photo online. The arrangement was about half as full and looked sparse and underwhelming. They also added baby's breath, which was not shown in the example and completely changed the look of the arrangement. For something as meaningful as funeral flowers, especially when paying for the premium option, I expected something much closer to what was advertised. read more

This was my first time ordering from Welke's and I will happily do so again! They are a great shop if you want to go local (which, during a pandemic we should all try to do). They do a fantastic job as you can see from this bouquet, and have tons of unique options that are all reasonable. This bouquet was about $70, but completely worth it. I picked it up Saturday and it's only blossomed and gotten more beautiful. Welke's includes curbside pickup so you can avoid the delivery fee, and they all wear masks. There are two locations, but I got this bouquet from Welke's on North. The bouquet is in a beautiful square box/vase, and then to protect the bouquet while in transit, they put the bouquet in a cardboard box and wrapped it in red paper (I got so excited to see it I ripped the paper off). My clerk (I won't out you for anonymity sake) was super sweet and friendly. 10/10 would recommend! read more

Oh my gosh, I will not be able to say enough amazing things about Welkes. I was in a jam, forgetting an important birthday, and last minute they were so kind in helping me out. I can't believe how accommodating, kind, understanding, and willing they were to go above and beyond especially the night before Thanksgiving. Not to mention how beautiful the bouquet came out! The recipient of the flowers happened to be on a walk during time of delivery; instead of leaving the flowers out in the cold, they coordinated with a few different people to get in touch with me and find a solution so the flowers didn't freeze. They went so far as offering to come back to deliver them the next day. Thankfully my friend happened to arrive, but the kindness and care of their customers really shined and I am so grateful. The customer service was unmatched and I can't recommend them enough for their professionalism, care, and the beautiful products that they produce. I cannot wait to work with them again! P.S. Boy am I so glad I did! I ordered through Teleflora and selected Welke's, was given the wrong address for delivery, had to correct that, added a simple note in the comments that I would like a sash that said "aunt" if possible. We had a very good experience with Welke's. (By the way: they have more than just roses!) Staff members were open to our ideas about what we wanted for flowers. Instead of pushing their vision on us, as happened with some other florists I interviewed, the folks at Welke's listened, and then got excited about *our* vision and how to bring it to life. Everything turned out beautifully. They were honest with me about what flowers are heartier and will work for a winter wedding, and which ones would be wilted or low quality at that time of year. Prices are competitive with other florists -- we shopped around and everyone was just about the same. They went the extra mile to show up at the church early and pin on all the boutonnieres and distribute the corsages. They got a list from us in advance of the people who would be wearing or carrying the flowers so we didn't have to worry about anything that day. I cannot recommend Welkes more. They are just great people, especially their amazing delivery driver. I ordered a flower arrangement from them for a dear family friend who had lost her husband. Problem was that I wasn't sure of her address (looked it up on whitepages which is always sketchy), didn't have her phone number, and it was the middle of winter and not the best time to be leaving flowers on doorsteps. The delivery driver was SO kind and diligent about communicating with me and returning multiple times to the house at different times of the day over many days to try and catch her at the house, which was difficult I'm sure as there were funeral arrangements, etc keeping her out and about. But they got a hold of her and she got the flowers and they were beautiful, communicating our love and sympathy from afar. Thanks Welkes and thank you SO much to your delivery driver. Welke's is one of the best florists ever. I've used them for years and years for many occasions. I've had wonderful service on all of my orders. Since I live in Chicago, I've often phoned in orders and recently did it online. Their arrangements always match the picture and are of an excellent quality. For Christmas, I ordered my parents a nice winter bouquet. I called the day before to check on order and delivery times. The next day, I placed my online order. It was supposed to be sent out on Friday, but due to weather, it arrived on Saturday. They were nice in calling me to inform of the delay. I have only great things to say about Welke's. They're a great Milwaukee florist who are my go-to for the right bouquets for the right occasions. read more

Someone took down my original review so i will put it out there again. We have been ordering flowers from Welke's for more than 20 years. Always very happy with flowers and service. Things have changed recently. My husband sent me flowers for Mother's Day. They were first delivered to my mother in law. Driver came back to get them and left at a wrong address. I called them back and said I didn't receive the flowers. The driver picked them up and tried to deliver to me even after the owner said she would remake the flowers. There were a number of calls between the owner and myself that afternoon and at one point she thought she had called the driver but dialed me instead. She said some rude things about me. In the end they delivered flowers to me but the experience with the owner was so bad we will not be using them again. Disappointed with the new ownership! read more

I ordered a Mother's Day Bouquet online with a confirmed delivery date of 05/13. Welkes contacted me via email on 5/13 and stated that they were only open for carry outs or "very local deliveries". This information was given despite the fact that I already paid for a product with a confirmed delivery date on Mother's Day. They said that they could deliver the arrangement the day after Mother's Day lol. I will not ever use this company again and I would advise anyone else to be aware that they do not deliver their products on time! read more

Ordered flowers the morning of an anniversary. Super easy to do online and even options to have delivered before 10a or Noon. The option to pay with PayPal made it even easier. I ordered flowers to be delivered to a close family friend at a Milwaukee hospital on Monday, November 27th. The order was confirmed online. Then on Monday I started receiving one phone call after the next from Welkes insisting that the order could not be processed because the hospital had no record of the patient's name. This went back and forth three times. Every time I spoke to someone at Welkes they blamed it another coworker and played dumb. Super fun. Then I called the hospital directly to inquire and located the patient's name within 2 minutes. I called back Welkes to inform them. Then I received another call back from Welkes saying that was not correct. Back and forth again. Finally the order appeared confirmed. Then on Tuesday midday I was informed by Welkes that the order could not be processed because the patient had already left the hospital. For some reason, the order was never delivered on Monday the 27th because it was sitting at the flower desk at the hospital. This type of service is SO poor is descends lower than even passable. Not only should my money be refunded but I should have received compensation for the time and trouble this company put me through. Needless to say the flowers were never delivered to my friend and the order never completed. Thanks for nothing Welkes! Absolutely worthless flower delivery service. It appears everyone who works at your company is in need of the most basic troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Welke's. We were sending flowers to my great uncle in the hospital when he was unexpectedly put back in ICU. Therefore, when Welke's tried to deliver the arrangement, they were unable to. The level of customer service that followed was exemplary. They immediately called us in Atlanta, GA to explain what had happened and let us know that they would make a call to the hospital every day to see if he was out of ICU. They also called me every day to let me know the status. This went on for a week. Everyone I spoke to at Welke's was friendly and competent. I would highly recommend them! read more

I placed an order for flowers on 6/29/16 for the death of a friend's father, to be delivered to the funeral home on 7/1/16. I was quite embarrassed when I spoke w/this friend on 7/7/16 and found out that she never received them. I have now called Welke's 3 times today to ask that they deliver the flowers to her home-no call backs from my inquiries-just a general run-around and excuses that it was the funeral home's errors. Very, very poor customer service-no real interest in correcting this error and keeping a customer happy. I just called again and was told they are still not delivered. read more
