I have had chinch bug problem in my lawn since last year which was destroying our front lawn. I was…read moremisdiagnosing the problem (thinking it was brown patch) all along and nothing seemed to work. Finally, I gave up and called Lawn doctor. Don (the owner) came to look over the lawn and he immediately found out the problem. He patiently explained to me the problem, showing the problem bug and even suggesting a solution. I was pleasantly surprised by his demeanor (very professional, not pushy) and decided to go with him for the application. Based on Don's suggestion, I could have been a prick and done the treatment myself from store purchased insecticides (I couldn't do it!). Don gave me a quote for two applications. I felt the quote was reasonable and justified. After the first application, the crew came to check the results. After checking the grass, (on the scheduled day of second application), I got a call that a second application was not necessary and therefore they hadn't applied it (and of course I wasn't charged for the second application). The company could have easily applied the second application and charged me for the same, and I would have probably paid for it without questioning. But the company didn't do it. It stuck to their morals. I personally felt very happy that such honest and trustworthy companies still exist even today. Now I know who to consult for all of my future lawn care needs and I would strongly recommend and endorse them for anyone looking for a lawn care company. (Note that I don't usually write out online reviews for companies, I only do so when I really feel touched by a companies gesture)

It improved both trees, but still one struggled. This year, that tree looks awful and we called to ask why it was so after four treatments already this year. They told me we "might" have to hire an "Arborist", but would send someone to check on it. They left a message that the tree had Leaf Minors. I spoke with someone at Green T and they said they dont treat those kind of pests. So, what have we been paying for for one and a half years? We werent informed in the beginning that their pest service was limited to certain pests - why was the problem just now diagnosed? We had to cancel upcoming treatments as they are not treating the orginal problem and we are now about to lose our beautiful tree and have the cost of hiring an "Arborist" or paying to have the tree removed after hundreds of dollars spent on wasted pest treatments. Love the lawn service, but so disappointed in the tree service!

I have had two joint replacement surgeries in the last 9 months so I needed help. I don't know what their landscape design skills are because I had already decided what plants I wanted. I picked up plants from 2 nurseries. Saved him time and me money. ( It is later in the year and I had a hard time finding everything at one.) He suggested Hinsdale Nursery whose size of shrubs were amazing. Also had luck at Wasco in St. Charles. I placed where I wanted them and J&C had everything planted and mulched in half a day. They also removed 3 older (large) shrubs. They are VERY hard workers and Javier couldn't be nicer to work with. Always wants to make sure the customer is happy with the job. Responds by text within very reasonable amount of time (you need to consider the day and time you are texting as he is doing work also). Nice weather the first time (in 70's) This second project is re-grading a path and laying stepping stones. Also adding sod where necessary and blending with the other lawn in the area that is not being replaced. The weather is horribly hot and humid (in the 90's) and they are doing a great job. I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend.
