The guy on the phone said it is an $85 charge just for the consultation. I said ok, because I needed it done asap. And he said it goes towards the cost of parts. So the electrician gets here, very nice and professional. He assesses the situation, goes to the store to buy some parts and does a great job. He calls it in to his bosses to ask how much to charge and they tell him $485....$485 to replace a switch in the ceiling fan and to buy and install a new light fixture for the closet?!?! You can find someone else to do your electric job for much, much, much less. And then, they lowered the price to $440 dollars which is still a huge ripoff, acting like they did me a favor.
