The company who manages it: Sue, Jake and Simon are a different story. Jake makes promises that he can't keep. Sue isn't organized and visible overwhelmed. Didn't work with Simon much, but when we did he backtracked on a lot of his answers to questions. No one could give me a solid answer on lights. Lights were supposedly hung by a licensed electrician. I've never seen a licensed electrician leave power cords with exposed openings hanging on the side of the building. Sue is great for trying to make the property's problem, your problem. Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. My clients absolutely LOVED the property which is THE only reason we stayed. If you use this property, please please please, get a day of coordinator to handle the mess of Sue and Simon (Jake has been MIA for months)! Don't rely on them or you may end up with LED backyard lights!

It was a shame to learn a week prior that Sarah, our wedding planner for the past year, would be unable to attend our events. As expected (without the original wedding planner) a few things went wrong along the way. I confronted Sue, the owner, with the issues in writing via email and she made it right with us in the end. We are confident since the company took responsibility we will be able to put the small things behind us in our future memories of our big day with the closure we received. It was a beautiful day on Clearwater Beach and we do have a lot to applaud Sun Coast Wedding for! I just wish it was perfect, but doesn't every bride? :) My advice: read your contract and make sure your original planner will be at your wedding! There were a few things I was promised and/or misunderstood with my original planner. Such as, Sun Coast is not your wedding "coordinators". They are your wedding "planners". Example: If you have things that need to be set up (like personal decor) they are not responsible for setting it up because it is not in the contract. So make sure everything is in writing in the contract, not just agreed upon via email or phone. Congratulations and good luck!

Planning a destination wedding from DC, we thought we were hiring someone just to walk us through the big day, but what we got was SO MUCH MORE Tadd used to be an event coordinator with the Lido Beach Resort, and recently branched out on his own; this means he knows the ins and outs of wedding coordination from all perspectives, and already had established relationships with most of our vendors. We knew from our first Skype conversation that he was going to make the whole experience as stress-free as possible, and we were never wrong. He started working with us months in advance. From building the wedding day timeline to liaising with our vendors to helping with the seating chart to answering every single question we threw at him (and there were many) to having to deliver the worst news you can give a bride on the day of her beach wedding - that it will rain and the ceremony might have to move inside (it didn't, and everything was perfect). . . .Tadd did it all with outstanding patience and cheer, responsiveness, organization, and for an *incredibly* reasonable price. He is so much more than just a "Day-of" coordinator. The actual day of, he was there with us every step of the way, and had an assistant as well, for when he needed to be at two places at once. This is a guy whose business deserves to thrive! I wish I lived in Sarasota and threw lots of parties - he would be on my speed dial (if that were still a thing) to plan them all. We looked at several other DOCs in the area, that were larger and more established, and there is not a single thing I regret about going with Tadd instead.

This was our first introduction to her extreme organization and prep skills. Tammy thought of everything. We met with Tammy a month before the wedding to discuss music, the venue, and her placement at the reception. We had a beach wedding and she was there for our wedding music, dinner music and then dancing. Her music knowledge and collection is vast. Tammy has a great feel for the music that fits the mood. Every song was on target to the group attending our wedding and reception. Her roll in keeping things on track as we were too busy with guests and having fun was invaluable. We did some traditional things and some not so traditional things and she was there every step of the way providing entertainment and focus. Would I hire her for an event again? In a heart beat!
