After waiting all this time, I was called three days before the repair appointment to tell me the parts were not ordered, The manager had decided to require me to pay directly for the parts, and be responsible for any damage during shipping, or if the parts didn't fit properly. While waiting for my repair date, I also received notice from my insurance company that they were cancelling my claim because they never received any paperwork or estimate from the body shop I had listed on my claim form. A call to Gerber on Columbia Rd confirmed that they never sent the paperwork even though they told me they would. This is not the way to run a collision repair shop.

He went over everything with me in detail, discussing what I did and did not need. We discussed what my goal was (paint and chip protection, and window tinting) and he happily went over the options available. Never once did he upsell me, and he made sure I knew exactly what to expect. After almost a week my car was ready. But the weather was pretty bad. He warned me that he might keep my car until the weather cleared if there was any chance it would adversely affect the work that was done. I really respected this, and I was happy to follow his recommendations. When I did pick up my car, I was thrilled. In the end I had gone with paint protection film, ceramic coating and window tint. Everything looked great and he was proud to show it to me. We went over everything in detail and it was important to him that I was happy. We are soon buying my wife a new car. They also included damage that was not from the accident. Both my mechanic and Geico's claim supervisor agreed that an entire exhaust system was unwarranted. If you choose to go here (which I wouldn't recommend) make sure you check your estimates really well. These guys are as crooked as they come.
