My prescription was not submitted to the pharmacy. When someone was in pain it's highly important to get the medication. I was in the facility for 1hr and 45min. I'm told by Mike he will send my prescription, but the pharmacy did not get anything. Care needs improvement for sure. I have to see another physician to get the medication. read more

I'm 15 years old and I had a plastic earring in my nose that I couldn't get out and was scared of infection so I went here with my grandpa because my dad was at work, and when we got there they said they needed a guardian there because of paperwork, which was understandable but we had to go to my dads job and pick him up and take him there ( he followed us there ) and when we got there we signed all the paperwork which took like. 35 mins in total until this old lady came out saying the total was 135$ which is outrageous just to remove a earring, and they were like " nope, we're leaving and taking the papers " and the lady had the audacity to say " so she isint work 135$? " which is amateur to say that when I'm RIGHT THERE.. and the reason why we walked out is because we weren't gonna sit there and pay that much for something so simple like that, and they don't take Medicare which is the health insurance I had, and they couldn't say that from the start? My husband had what we thought was a bite that swelled on his wrist and a red area on his upper arm so we went to have it checked out on Good Friday. He was seen by a nurse practitioner that squeezed out some puss and told us it was Infected and looked like it travelled up his arm to the red area. He gave him a prescription for an antibiotic and sent us on our way. Needless to say, we were at the emergency room on Easter where they admitted him for 9 days and now has IV antibiotics to take at home for two weeks. Every dr at the hospital stated that he should have been sent directly to the hospital on Good Friday. read more

I am away from home and needed to be seen at an urgent care. I was a bit skeptical about this practice because of some poor reviews. I'm glad that I decided to go because it was a great experience. The doctor and nurse whom I saw were both professional, compassionate, and friendly. A prescription was requested from the pharmacy of my choosing. The front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. I waited a reasonable amount of time to be seen and was absolutely not rushed through the appointment. The office and waiting area are clean; masking was offered. I knew this place was awful based on many people I knew who have gone here but when my daughter hurt her ankle and no one else was available to do an x ray I reluctantly took her here. I figured they couldn't screw that up. I was wrong. First they incorrectly charged us for the x ray and a splint which is covered under my insurance 100%. Still dealing with that! Second, we went to pick up her x ray from yesterday afternoon to bring to the orthopedic Dr. She's seeing tomorrow and guess what, they can't find it! Yep. Lost it less than 24 hours after the scan. I'd recommend if this is your only choice with a broken foot to just fashion your own splint and reset the bone with a hammer while biting a stick. read more

Went in today at 10 am was seen at 11:45. Granted the flu is all over Anastasia Island. Saw the Nurse Practioner, I'm at a blank for his name. I know that he served our country. He was absolutely wonderful. Very bad sinus infection is what I ended up with. Left the place a little after noon. They were supposed to fax my scripts over to Publix on the island. I called Publix at 2, they received nothing. At 3 pm, I called fm again, they had forgot to fax it over. I am now going into Publix to pick up my scripts. My experience went from a 4 to a 3. It was fine with me because medical assistant gave me a pillow and I sprawled out on exam table for a cat nap while I waited! Great customer service! For primary care seems fast and pleasant! We took our toddler on a Saturday afternoon. There was no doctor on site. I couldn't believe that. The nurses had to send the doctor the x-ray film via email or some other way. But get this...the Internet service sucks in there. The nurse had to go outside for better reception. I mean, come on. We had to wait for the doctor to call back and give us his diagnosis. Luckily we knew our toddler didn't have a broken arm. But imagine if it had been broken or something similar. We'd have to wait and wait and wait until the doctor called us back? That isn't acceptable to me as a parent. I want fast care, urgent care, for my child and my family. I had to take our other child to the car because she was tired and cranky. Ten minutes later, my husband comes out with our son, the patient. He tells me the doctor hadn't called back yet to give us the diagnosis. The nurse told my husband the x-ray looked good, like nothing was seriously wrong. By this time, I was so exhausted from a long day of traveling, dealing with two toddlers, coddling our hurt son, I was speechless. I couldn't believe we were actually leaving the urgent care without a diagnosis. The nurse called us about thirty or forty minutes later with the diagnosis. So after all that, the doctor didn't even call us. I was extremely disappointed with our visit to this urgent care. It has the potential to be much better than it is if some of these issues are addressed. read more

Today, I was seen at FM Urgent Care. I completed the initial checkin paper work and sat down. During my wait, the receptionist yelled across the room "why are you here". Before I could answer, She read out loud my reason for my medical visit. All of patients in the room heard what she said. After Triage, I spoke with the owner, Dr Micheal Scott who said this is normal, "it's a waiting room." WTF I'm positive this is a HIPPA violation! read more

Selected Dr Michael's as my PCP the first of this year so when I got persistent stomach issues continuing for over a month I decided to go to the urgent care as the doctor didn't have appointment available until late next week. The receptionists were friendly and professional. There were only 4 patients in the waiting room when I arrived including any that might have an appointment with one of the doctors. I waited for an hour until they called me to the exam room. The assistant took my temperature and oxygen level but no blood pressure. Asked a few questions about the reason for my visit then said "Gloria" would be in. I waited another hour in the exam room with no one ever checking on me or providing an update or apology for the wait. So I just walked out after two hours of waiting, $10 copay and limited attention. Glad I wasn't in critical need for "urgent" care. What a waste of time. read more

Would give ZERO stars if I could. Receptionist was incredibly rude... I slashed my foot on a piece of coral at the beach and we went here... my fiancé carried me in and the receptionist quite literally STARRED at us on the phone and preceded to continue talking on the phone, completely ignoring the man holding his fiancé who's got blood all over her foot.... incredible. We were AN HOUR until closing time, but after a minute of waiting for this lady to get off her phone she looks at us and says 'uh were closed so...' in the rudest way possible. We proceed to explain what happened asking if she knew where we could go... 'I don't really know but we're closed'.... incredible. Literally just needed some stitches... doesn't even bother to offer to look at it or offer help. read more

Not impressed with this facility. Took my daughter to this facility yesterday half an hour before they closed. After taking all of our information, I asked what my copay is. They told me some odd amount which I challenged - I am the subscriber as well as the Plan Administrator - so I understand our plan. When I challenged them they said that I did not meet the deductible which is clearly incorrect both on plan design as well as being that it was December 23rd and with a family of 4 - there is absolutely no way that we haven't met our deductible. The admission person then went in back to ask about the copay and came back out and said that the doctor would not see us because my daughter said that she had some minor chest pains and as a result it hurt to breathe and that we should go to the hospital. I guess they should change the change from Urgent Care.. Turns out she had the flu.....but in their hurry to close they couldn't even be bothered to talk with us - and we were literally the only patients so it wasn't like they were stressed! I would never go back. My mother has also gone to this facility with less than desirable results. So instead of a $20 copay I will be paying a $150 copay for an ER visit. read more

I was so happy at the service I received at FM Medical Urgent Care Center- I was not feeling well, dropped by as a walk in. From the front desk staff to the nurses and the Doctors, Medical Assistant all treatment me with kindness and helped me get back to the room. At that time the Doctor took no time to come in and see me. I was able to get the medication I needed to get back home and get to bed to rest. By next morning I was feeling much better. I've had this dr for a year. Had high blood pressure so went back periodically. Each time was a 2 hour wait. I've been patient though it makes no sense to have a 2 hour wait each time. My appt came up in August. I asked after my last appt about getting my bloodwork and they said, not once, but several times that Quest automatically knows. I didn't understand that, but went with it. A week before my appt I went to Quest. Of course, they had no dr orders. I called FM and got transferred twice with each person telling me that they saw no orders for bloodwork. I cancelled my appt and don't plan to go back with such incompetence. The dr was good, but the staff has always been disorganized. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Emily for my physical therapy. I was referred to her by Dr. Scott Micheal's who is my primary physician. I have a painful condition called osteopenia and I suffer from renal failure so I need dialysis three times a week. I was very happy with the service and care I received. None of my appointments were ever delayed or cancelled. My care was very well handled and I felt like I got the best service possible. Due to Dr. Emily's knowledge and method of care I was able to start walking better and moving more freely. My joints had been locked up due to my brittle bones and my muscles had pretty much atrophied due to me being so inactive for a year. My quality of life is so much better now after just a few weeks of treatment. I can walk with pretty much no difficulty and almost no pain now. I'm so happy I went to FM Medical for my treatment. read more

We visited on a Friday evening because it seems all medical emergencies for us occur if a Friday evening. Will not disclose medical information but can say that both the RN and the Nurse Practitioner were very capable, knowledgeable and professional. Sorry I do not remember the nurse's name but NP Kelli McLaughlin did an outstanding job of handling the situation. Hopefully we won't need to come back but should a need arise, we won't hesitate. read more

Took our son there at 7:30pm for a cut that required stitches and we were told to bring him to the ER. They didn't even look at the cut before they told us that. He only needed 6 stitches, but it was very obvious that they weren't interested in dealing with that 30 minutes before closing, so we wasted time stopping there. read more

Great urgent care! Went there because I chopped my finger the night before while camping in the Ocala National Forest. We waited 20 minutes, the staff was very friendly. Sent antibiotic to Publix next door and it was ready just minutes after we arrived. I highly recommend this urgent care for out of towners. It's very clean, quick and friendly. read more

I had a very unpleasant visit at the FM urgent care. First of all, some of the tests that would've been important to make the right diagnose to my now known disease were not made and I eventually had to go to the hospital in order to be helped. Second of all, in the beginning the staff gave me the wrong papers for the lab and when I returned they were about to order all of the already previously done tests for my upcoming lab visit. When I asked the ladies at the front desk why I would have to pay for the same tests twice they suddenly realized that these were unnecessary. That was very unprofessional and both of these situations made me feel like the clinic did not care about me at all. Eventually, after having to ask 3 times for a correct login information in order to access the "Health Portal" I have still been given the wrong login info and could still not receive my results. Dr. Michaels is friendly, but again, did not really seem to care about my condition at all, just like the rest of the staff. I was very disappointed by my visits. read more

THIS IS THE WORST MEDICAL CENTER I HAVE EXPERIENCED. THERE IS NO DOCTOR IN HOUSE AND THEY CHARGE OVER A HUNDRED DOLLAR WALK-IN FEE TO SEE A NURSE. They are robbing sick people! I took my sick friend and she left with no answers or treatment. She asked the nurse questions about her sickness and the nurse responded "let me check a resource," I overheard another nurse shriek and say "EW I have blood on me , why do I work here!" this is a disgrace to the medical industry and the community.
