Perfect spot for an afternoon snack ! We had flat bread and got a couple of wine bottles. The place is super cozy and convenient. Prices were very reasonable.

After a nice trek from Vernazza to Monterosso, we were hungry and in dire need of a quick bite before hitting the beach. It's a cute spot overlooking the sea with probably the BEST focaccia I have ever tasted. Perfect amount of bread to meat to sauce ratio and texture is toasted just right. We also ordered the pesto lasagne that wasn't too heavy even at 10am. To finish off our quick fix, I got the chocolate cake that complemented my coffee.

Stopped here because the display showed the food we could expect and they had a big salad. Before we asked to sit down I wanted to confirm there was a bathroom, as that was going to be necessary. They were really resistant and wanted to be sure I was going to eat there before they told me there was one in the ally behind the neighboring church, think several places shared it? I told them if they didn't have one I could go back to the hotel, then return, no problem. Anyhow we ordered the pesto lasagna and a salad. The lasagna was good, but very small for 8 euros! And the salad was fine, except once you start to dress it, you realize there are tons of soggy dead leaves in it you need to pick out, ugh. The focaccia bread came as part of the service and was actually really good! We're not sure how we offended them, or if they were just rude, but all three women we interacted with were not nice, didn't smile, so it ruined the experience overall.

Focaccia Semplice con patate e rosmarino. Highly recommend!!!

On a recent trip to the Cinque Terre region in Italy, we stumbled across Focacceria Antonio on our way to the beach. I don't know how we couldn't stop with the aroma of freshly baked focaccia and an array of focaccia topped with fresh local ingredients at the window. There are two ways to order. You can go up to the counter and point to which focaccia you would like and head to the beach or grab a seat either inside or outside and grab a menu. We decided to grab a seat outside to enjoy the view (it's located right across the beach), people watch (my favorite!), and enjoy a glass a wine (also my favorite!) Oh the choices, it was so hard to just pick a few! But we decided on the Focaccia Semplice con patate e rosmarino and the Focaccia with olive and pomodorini. The Semplice con patate e rosmarino (olive oil, rosemary, & thinly sliced potato) was so delicious!!! The focaccia was warm, soft and topped with a generous amount of olive oil that it even ran down my chin. But it didn't stop me from continuing to devour it. The olive and tomato focaccia was also very good. Tomatoes taste so much better in Italy. I accompanied my focaccia with a glass of their local Cinque Terre white wine. A dry, light table wine made from a combination of Bosco, Albarola, and Vermentino grapes from the region. It paired well with my focaccia on this sunny afternoon. They also have birre for you beer drinkers and other spirits. They sell bottles of the Cinque Terre wine inside in case you want to take some home as a souvenir. I also love how reasonably priced everything is! Everything we ordered was around 3-3.5 euros each. Simple fresh ingredients, delicious and reasonably priced, how could you not love this place?

Walk a little further past the main town area and you will find a comfortable Foccacceria tucked away from the crowds. It has fresh delicious foccaccia with many different toppings to choose from. We stopped here twice for late breakfast and the coffee was the best cup I had in Italy

    cheese, tomatoes, and rocket!

This place is great spot to grab lunch and head to the beach for the day! 2.90 euro for focaccia : some type of soft cheese, tomatoes, and rocket. So fresh and tasty! We went back before we headed back to our room too. I would recommend coming here if you visit the beach or want to grab lunch after your hike from Vernazza!

    Love the pesto

One needs to try foccaccia when visiting cinque Terre. I tried different foccaccie during my trip, but this place was the best.

Panificio Rosi is a small shop in Riomaggiore that specializes in focaccia. While we stayed in Manarola, it was a short 10 min train ride from that town and we had planned to hike back to Manarola via the Via dell'Amore. Since it was an early morning we were the first customers, so they had plenty of fresh focaccia ready to eat. They have a large variety of focaccia with toppings to choose from, I picked the pesto and tomato focaccia and it was delicious! I would definitely recommend giving this shop a try for focaccia.

The varieties at Panificio Rosi include everything from focaccia with rosemary, anchovies, mushrooms, potatoes, onions, and even chocolate! My pick was the focaccia with artichokes, pesto, and stracchino cheese, and eating this was a revelation. The bread itself was perfectly crusty on the outside, and soft and pleasantly crumbly on the inside. The artichokes added a surprising textural contrast, and the creamy stracchino cheese and the herbaceous basil pesto added great flavor to every bite! I also tried the focaccia with anchovies and capers, and while this version was on the salty side, it was full of umami goodness. All the breads here were sold by weight, and the friendly server heated up our focaccia before we enjoyed this delicious snack!
