Not usually a fan of lemon torte but this Torta ai Limoni di Monterosso was just divine. Tasted like custard to me, looked really simple but so sooo good! Will most likely come back here before we leave in 2 days. Highly recommended!

Stumbled upon this spot while exploring Monterosso. They were advertising their focacce sandwiches, which was the perfect quick lunch. Ended up getting the focacce sandwich with ham and pesto. Simple, yet satisfactory! Couldn't leave Cinque Terre without trying some of their pesto. The lady behind the counter was very patient and helpful. I saw they had some sort of unique cake called a Monterossina cake displayed in their case. Turns out it was a specialty of this specific bakery! The Monterossina cake is a shortcrust pastry filled with custard, chocolate, and apricot jam. Seemed more akin to a slice of pie than a cake, but either way, it was a sweet treat! Friendly service, variety of focacce sandwiches to choose from, and a dessert specialty...highly recommended when in Monterosso!

This is exactly the kind of desert shop you'd want on any vacation! You'll wish you could have them down the road from you at home, too! The best thing on the menu is the Monterossina which is a decadent pie slice with a crisp crust, delicate chocolate accent and cream interior, plus a great aroma. I can't recommend it enough. Covered outdoor seating is available and service is fastest if you go straight to the counter to order. It takes no time at all, plus staff is friendly and speaks English. Just walking by and getting a whiff of that smell is enough to pull you in.

This place was hidden away in a small little alleyway. The white pizza was thin and perfect to a T. The flavors were just dancing all over my taste buds. When you take that bite of the pizza, the creaminess of the sauce is just amazing. And for the Nutella calzone, well it's Nutella meaning it's the best dessert you will ever try! A must try! Service was also to perfection.

Perfect place for breakfast if you are staying nearby. We stopped every morning for coffee and pastries. We came back in the afternoon to try the Monterossina which was delicious there.

Good place for coffee and juice and pastries in the morning! I had a fresh squeeze OJ with a croissant and I had to try to Monterosso cake! Super soft cake with chocolate sauce! Yum! Friendly ladies running the place. Average pastries.

We went on a tour for Cinque terre and our tour guide suggested this shop. Unfortunately, this was a bit underwhelming for me. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I don't see myself going out of my way to come back. However, if you are like me and don't like you sweets too sweet this is your place. The sweets are not too sweet and they are good. You should defiantly give it a try if your in there area since they are the best at their chocolate pie and the server are the sweetest. They have great outdoor seating and the area is super relaxing.

Monterosso pie up close and personal!

First rate baked goods recommended by locals. The panini sandwiches are top tier and the desserts even better!

Some of the best pastries we've had in Italy. The torta monterossina was my favorite. Quick and kind service.

Almost certainly the best you'll get in Riomaggiore while eating. There are 10 tables on the rail with a perfect view to the sea. The sad news is that they don't do reservations anymore so planners don't get a leg up on setting a table aside. The service here was sub-par, but the server was very nice. We started with the cheese plate and some moscato. I didn't like a couple of the cheeses but the wine was great. For dinner, I ended up with the classic lasagna and I thought it was just ho hum. I got to try some of my daughter's pesto and that I found to be better than the lasagna.

They also served olives and focaccia bread. I took off a star because the service structure was confusing to us. There was a sign at the table to order at the bar but then when we went to order at the bar we were told to wait for our server. The server only came around occasionally so service was very slow. This was still however a 4 star review because even with slow service, these views at sunset are hard to beat! This was also a convenient location just up the stairs from the train station.
