Brooke was very helpful over the phone and couldn't make any promises, but was very adamant about coming in to see if anyone could help. Thomas, I believe he's one of the Opticians, was very helpful! With no hesitation, he repaired my glasses with only 15min left before they closed! I won't be home for 2 weeks so this was a life saver because I can't see or drive without them! Excellent customer service! If this is how helpful they are in emergency situations, I would highly recommend them for routine care if you live in the area! Great team! read more

They do not deserve a rating! Dr.Shaune Wallace, did not give me a proper eye exam. They did not use my insurance! I couldn't buy glasses because they would not give it to me unless I paid them 65. Dollars. I went to an action agency in which they were able to get my eye exam report with the prescription. The prescription was incorrect, like suddenly my eyes got better. Supposedly I went from a 400 to a 2.25hmm. I told the doctor I had angle glaucoma. I told him I had laser surgery in 2017. He did not dilate my eyes. But yet he said there was no sign of a laxer surgery. He did not check to see if my glaucoma returned. I got a phone call from Dr.Wallace once I complained about my service. The dr told me he was waving the 65$ charge. But did not say why? Hmmm, nor did he say to come into the office and redo my exam. He is a fraud as far as I am concerned . I will report him to the board of optometry. I felt like I was at a fast food restaurant. Not to mention I am blind in my right eye and I am in need for my distance prescription so I can drive. I will be calling his office and if this has happened to more of his patients please respond! read more

Don't bother and don't expect the front desk to know anything about your glasses. The notices on the phone are auto generated and do not mean your glasses are in, so driving over an hour to get my glasses they were not even ready. Had to have 2 different exams as the first ones were wrong. I got the notice my glasses were ready called them on the phone as I had more than one pair was told all were ready, went to pick them up (not ready) informed them to please just send them to me, at that time I was informed they would be ready that afternoon. I called a week later and they had not sent them. This was the first and last time I go to this place. Very disorganized and no one seems to know anything. read more

Beyond impressed that I can get my glasses same day if I had needed! The poor reviews had me worried (I went there due to insurance) but it blew me away! This was my normal optometrist. One morning, I was hit in the eye with a racquetball racquet. Swelled and hurt badly. My vision was blurry. I went into Speedy Specs and told the receptionist the problem and asked if someone could give me a quick checkup, please just to check for damage. She said they were pretty busy. She called over the office manager. I re-explained, and he said they were too busy to see me. Could I come back at 3 pm (six hours hence) and they'd try and work me in. Really? An emergency? Too busy? Or, he said, I could see another doctor in town. I said, "How about Dr. Alleman?" "Yeah, he's good. That'd be better." I said, "I will", and I left. I called Alleman and they said to come right in for an emergency. I'll never go back to Speedy Specs. read more

I recently had an appointment at Speedy Specs as I went there in the past and was satisfied. I was very disappointed with everything on this visit and will never go back! I am a 74 year old senior and I ask how much my bill will be, do they take Medicare, Tri-care (no) etc. was told the fee for visit would be $65.00. I go in to see the Doc & I was told my eyes hadn't changed much from my last visit (approx. 4 years ago) at the end of the exam I told the Doctor, who was very nice, I am out of contacts, his reply was "they didn't schedule the time for a contact exam" he went and got me a pair of contacts that was the same RX as my old ones and said "here try these" I thanked him and we walked up front and he said to the girls upfront " add (I do not remember what the code was he used) I was then told "your bill for today is $165.00. I gasp and ask why and was told it was for the Contact exam....(that I never got) OH, lol and by the way...... I had my my last pair of contacts IN MY EYES during my entire eye exam and it was never mentioned by the Doc. It felt like a corporation run business not as I remember it from before. It's all about the money, money,money! DO NOT go there. Go to a real optometrist office where they care & you get your monies worth. I will never go there again and BTW, I did NOT take the contacts he "gave" me!! read more

Friendly staff. Went in this morning for and eye exam and glasses. I was told the glasses would be done on Monday and I received a text at 1:30 p.m. saying they were ready to be picked up. They did the best I have ever in getting the correct prescription glasses. read more
