From the amazing owners, delicious snacks, ability to bring our friendly pups, to watching new (and sometimes classic) moves from the comfort of our SUV or pick up truck bed. They typically play two movies and admission is currently $7 a person. Much cheaper thsn other theaters. They make a lot of the snacks from scratch using high quality ingredients. Pizzas and grilled cheese are made upon order and never disappoint. We have also enjoyed the popcorn, nachos, and hotdogs. The chili is also homemade. Since they don't make much profit on the movies, they charge $5 for a snack voucher to use in concession. We always spend more than that, so we welcomed the change. Snacks are all very reasonably priced and so is admission. The owners are some of the kindest people I know. We used to take our elderly lab here and before he passed we took him to say goodbye and enjoy one last movie. They even came out to give him extra love since he was a regular with us and his fur sister. Ruskin Family Drive-In is a family owned business that will make you feel like one of the family. This theater is absolutely beautiful. About 100 years old, according to the one employee I asked, the details are incredible, the seats comfortable, the upcoming movies look great...Unfortunately did not have an opportunity to go to the balcony but I was told that's a must do! Downstairs bathrooms/ architecture follows suit. There is a large bar/ concession area, but I did not utilize this amenity. Get there early for parking, just in case ( a few private pay by app lots....). I am unfamiliar with the area, so there possibly are other options.

I was told by the Coordinator that we could re-book. I thought this meant that I could re-book at the "weather event fee for $149. I now find out that because the Coordinator set up (but movie was never shown-heck it never even started because it was called before 8pm), we will have to pay FULL COST for a rebook...does this sound fair? The price for the pizza is much more reasonable and not bad tasting. If you buy a large popcorn they give you a ticket to get another one free. If you spend $35 they give you a free movie entry pass for your next visit. The lot is near a roadway that seemed to attract a few yahoo's blaring their garbage music as they drove by. The nearby train was also annoying a couple times. You can sit outside your vehicle if inclined, as long as you're not taking up an adjacent space. We'll go back for sure.

As we are expressed disappointment to the young cash register attendant, she became a little rude. The young managerstepped in to help out and offered us passes for a movie on another day. The owners and managers of this theater have gone to great links recently to improve the quality of the movie experience. And we normally enjoy watching movies here. I highly recommend this theater. But I'm getting frustrated with poor customer service by many customer service industry employees. The manager acted quickly and correctly to correct the situation. He saved a potentially negative experience and review and can teach the employee through a real situation. I'm sure the young lady working there will improve.

This theater is so clean, well stocked, well run, with attentive staff and a perfect picture experience. The seats are very comfortable and recline into like a rocking position. The popcorn and snacks are fresh. The bathrooms are clean, the theater rooms are clean, the whole theater is well kept, refreshed, and just an overall great theater experience. The IMAX 3D experience here for Avatar was well worth the drive over from Riverview/Brandon for a night out in St Pete.
