The store has knowledgeable staff, and prices seemed competitive. We took samples home to check for color compatibility and then returned to order materials and set up installation. A couple of weeks later, we had carpet in the entire first floor replaced as well as flooring in our kitchen. Dan McFadden and a crew of four workers came and had the job done in two days. After the job was done, Dan met me at the house to go over everything he and his crew did. He even did a few extra things that had not been figured into the estimate. Dan was professional and thorough, and his work and the work or his men was excellent. I recommend Richmond Carpet and would recommend asking for Dan McFadden to install your flooring.

I now wish I would've kept my old carpet, as we gave these crooks over $8000 to do this shabby job. The old carpets had been there well over twenty years and nowhere did they ever come undone or could you see or feel the seams. The new carpet you can feel the seams and see them, especially where they're coming apart. Will not go back and will not refer anyone to them. Wished I would've went with Home Depot or Lowes.

The estimate they gave me was reasonable so they started the work soon after. They were professional, friendly and told me exactly what they were doing and why every step of the way. We had one torrential downpour a couple days ago and I'll have to admit, I was nervous! But no leaking and I'm back to normal with a nice, dry basement! This is a very frustrating company to try to do business with. By the time I finally ordered my 700+ square feet of flooring, I knew I was going to have more problems. However I loved the product and decided the poor service was part of the cost of doing business with Georgia Direct. The company they subcontracted did an excellent job of installing the floor, but the job has not been finished. They were suppose to finish last week, then it was today, and now after 3 more phone calls it might be in 4 more days. This isn't the same company I did business with for over 35 years.
